Hey! Can't catch up! Crazy busy here! Had my scan today. Crazy bean wouldn't cooperate so going back next week! Saw lots of bits though and strong heart beat. Dates not confirmed quite yet lmp says 12+2 scan suggests 12+5 but will confirm next week

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/11/2016 18:36

Congrats to everyone that has had their scans - lovely pictures.

As for co-sleeper cots: we bought a compact cot with ds3 and took one side off and used bungee cords to secure it to our bed. The middle height was perfectly matched to our quite high bed and it lasted ds until he was 12 months old. I was s bit paranoid about full cosleeping so the side car cot was perfect and lasted longer than s next to me or snuzpod because it was bigger (and cheaper too).

Congrats to all who had scans, it's becoming a lot more real now! I'm still so anxious waiting for mine next Friday just hoping it comes around quickly.

collie how can they tell the sex already?!!!

MumofthreeandBean · 18/11/2016 19:09

Wow!! Loving the scan pics! Very jealous, mine is Tuesday!!

moonlight these newer non-invasive screening tests involve taking a blood sample from mum and they then extract circulating fetal DNA from the blood. Gives a highly accurate result on genetic conditions but also the XX/XY for sex from 10 weeks

flossie79 · 18/11/2016 19:14

I think I must definitely be the only one who hasn't even heard from the midwife yet, never mind had a booking in appointment or scan, getting very impatient now! I'll be starting to think I've dreamt it all soon! I think I am 9+5 but feel like I can't believe it yet til I've seen it with my own eyes.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 18/11/2016 19:14

Blowing my cover as a medic here but it is useful sometimes!

RoseBud2016 · 18/11/2016 19:22

Fantastic news with all these scans! Congratulations Collie, Dragon and haveacup.

Don't worry Flossie You aren't the only one. I only got referred to a midwife yesterday so I'm way behind you!

sweetpea we are scan date buddies

Mooseville · 18/11/2016 19:56

Mumofthree and sweetpea - another scan buddy here! Mine's Tuesday morning too. Can't come soon enough!

NappingRabbit · 18/11/2016 20:05

Fantastic news on all scans and NIFTY results!

I had my blood taken today for combined screening, scan a week on Monday when they will give me immediate screening results. Last time I came back medium risk (can't remember the stats but higher risk than I should have been for my age) - normal NT measurement but high HCG. My hospital were involved in the Harmony NHS trial so I was offered it free and came back low risk. They still offer it free to high risk results so I feel reassured having that backup option. If I don't meet the threshold for free testing we won't pay for it privately.

In my new mat jeans today - first day in weeks I haven't changed into pjs at the earliest opportunity. So comfy!

We have told a few friends so far but will wait to tell most others after scan/screening results.

Wow really exciting news for so many of you! Can't wait for those of us at the back of the bus to catch up!

flossie hang on in there, it won't be long x

NauseousNancy · 18/11/2016 20:31

Hello all!

Fab scans - it's so exciting to see them all! I have mine on the 8th December, I can't wait. I have already had one due to some complications early on big desperate to have my dating scan.

I've been struggling today, feeling very sick and very emotional. Could cry constantly!! Anyone else feel like an emotional wreck?

Sixisthemagicnumber · 18/11/2016 20:31

flossie I only heard from the midwives yesterday after chasing up the referral twice. I am 9+3 and gave my booking in appt next Friday. If you haven't heard anything by Monday chase them up.

HazyHazyJeans · 18/11/2016 21:12

Loving all the scans. Congrats to everyone who's had theirs today!

Has anyone else had fading symptoms? I felt really nauseous from about 5 and a half weeks to 8 and a half weeks. Some days worse than others. But for the past couple of days I've felt fine. Still have sore boobs & am tired but the sickness is gone completely. On the one hand I'm pleased but on the other hand, I'm a bit worried Confused

Purplefairy21 · 18/11/2016 21:23

mooseville, sweetpea, mumofthree I'm also scan date buddy. Cant wait til then.
Exhaustion is not the word today. Even tried bribing ds with mummy's special biscuit stash to watch a dvd so I could doze for a bit. It sort of worked. I also have toothache and don't like the feeling of taking codeine while pg even though it's been prescribed since been pg. Im thinking yes so I can sleep but at the same time I don't want to...just in case.

Purplefairy21 · 18/11/2016 21:23

Ooh forgot. 11+5 today.

Mommytobe2017 · 18/11/2016 21:24

Hazy I've had no sickness and barely any nausea. I was worried at first but Mom was the same. Still wondering if there's anything in there!!

MumofthreeandBean · 18/11/2016 21:27

Loads of scan pics Tuesday then!!! 😁

HazyHazyJeans · 18/11/2016 21:29

mommy I know a few people who felt fine the entire first trimester but the fact that I had nausea and now it's gone is worrying me. Even though I had a scan last Saturday & everything looked fine. I'm sure I felt much worse than this with DD but I know every pregnancy is different....argh why does it all have to be so worrying? I wish there was a sunroof & I could just peek in whenever I felt like it to check everything is fine Confused

Mommytobe2017 · 18/11/2016 22:10

Hazy Oh I know. I've managed to hold off on having an early scan... Perhaps your nausea is clearing up? I'm sure nothing is wrong. I would say don't worry but I know it's easier said than done!! Grin

I'm watching Children in Need... SadSad
It's said anyway but now with being pg my emotions are all over the place!!

Mommytobe2017 · 18/11/2016 22:11

It's sad*

haveacupoftea · 18/11/2016 22:12

I've barely any symptoms now and everythings ok so don't be worrying Smile the only symptom i really have left is feeling hungry, like a hunger i have never felt before when i havent eaten in a while.
