Thanks Vegan I am very tempted to try VBAC, but I had EMCS with DS because of large baby (9lbs13), failure to progress (got to 7cm) and baby in distress. I was induced and all in all was in hospital for almost 4 days before baby was born. I would go for VBAC, but am terrified of being induced again and ending up with an EMCS anyway.

I did have a really good recovery first time and no trouble breastfeeding (once tongue tie was sorted, but that's another story!) and have heard that recovery is even better after planned CS...

I think I'll have to wait a bit before making my decision and see how this baby grows, because if it's any where near as big as it's brother I will defo be going down the CS route! It also helps knowing when I will have to go to hospital, with childcare and DH work etc. especially as hospital is so far from home..

First appointment with consultant not until 20 weeks, so will have to wait and see what they say I guess..

Welcome nancy

Walkerbean16 · 15/11/2016 11:57

Love the bump pic vegan, reassuring that I'm not the only one with a huge bump this early! I'm convinced there is more than one in there! Will find out in two days! Eek!!

ymmv · 15/11/2016 11:58

I've booked in! And handed over all my blood and failed to pee. Sods law that I'll constantly peeing but not when I need to. So I'm sat in Costa near the hospital trying to work up a sample.Grin

I've been referred for blood pressure and I'll be seeing obstetrics consultant because long term health condition and high bmi. Whatever really.

Feels a bit more real now.

9+1 (said the midwife)

Walkerbean16 · 15/11/2016 11:58

Here is mine, 11+5

Walkerbean16 · 15/11/2016 12:01

Haha ymmv, my midwife asked me to provide another sample at booking in and I just couldn't do it! I had been peeing constantly for the past 8 weeks but must have got stage fright! I had to go in the next morning and pass it to the disgruntled receptionist Grin

NauseousNancy · 15/11/2016 12:01

Thank you ymmv for the welcome :) I have also been referred for extra growth scans and consultant care because of high bmi. Feeling a bit down about it!!

Walkerbean16 what a cute bump already!

MumofthreeandBean · 15/11/2016 12:02

walker & vegan lovely bumps! Tried to put a pic of mine on but it won't work Blush

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 12:02

Lovely bump walker, I can't wait until I have a proper bump rather than just a massive middle!

8+0

Walkerbean16 · 15/11/2016 12:10

I just can't believe how much of a bump there is already, have convinced myself I'm further along or I'm having triplets! nust just be because it's my third (fingers crossed! We barely have space for one more as it is!!)

Is anyone else just constantly exhausted?! I'm falling asleep before 8 every night! My poor husband is pretty lonely at the moment!

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 12:23

I bet it's because it's your third! Though I'm also worrying about twins, not sure how I'd cope, I had a new found respect for parents of twins and multiples after having one wiped me out!!

I am constantly tired, not sleeping through at the moment, usually waking a couple of times a night which doesn't help, and my dreams are crazy!!

Headaches have also started now, which I remember from last time. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed though that I may have escaped morning sickness, as hardly felt anything for the last week or so (which obviously also makes me worry that there's something wrong!)

ymmv · 15/11/2016 12:29

High five walkerbean. I was there going "but I pee all the time!"
And then in Costa I tipped it all into the loo while trying not to drop the container. Fucks sake! So I've gone home and I'll drop it in later today. Palaver. Grin

Nancy It's a bit demoralising isn't it? Better to be looked after properly tho.
My hackles raised a bit when my height was 2cm less than usual and they rounded my weight up which put me a whole 1.5 higher for BMI. Doesn't really make a difference tho I'm still between 35 and 40.

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 12:42

ymmv my BMI came out higher than normal too, I'm usually around 27, but the MW put me down as 29, saying "that's absolutely fine!" and I thought really?!

So I'm now worrying about MMC as my symptoms seem to have dropped off...I'll probably feel horrendous this evening now! (...secretly hopes so!!)

ymmv · 15/11/2016 13:22

olivers you might have triggered something at 30 take your jumper/shoes off next time Hmm. Maybe. I think because mine is over 35 they don't want me giving birth at home but she also said there's other stuff that comes into play at 40 BMI.

ymmv · 15/11/2016 13:22

Also fucking MMC. We don't ever actually get to relax do we?

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 13:26

ymmv lol. nope, it's a constant worry, even once they start moving about you panic when they stop for half an hour!

Just had my lunch (only soup and a roll) and feel dreadful, sick and headachey, so stopped worrying for now! I knew if I said something out loud it would kick back in!

Masweetpea1 · 15/11/2016 13:30

olivers, i had an elcs last time as my dd was breech. It was a hard recovery but then they completely buggered up the cannula in my hand and i ended up looking like the marshmallow man!! That hurt more than the cs!!

Also worrying today, i have pains in my right ovary (not where my internal bleed is), sort of like implantation pains but ovary can't be that. Roll on next Tuesday for my scan, not sure my nerves can take much more......

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 13:47

oliversmummy that's deffo a different situation then and obvs see how things progress.

My emcs was for RFM (had many episodes of it) so I never actually laboured with my first and my second was induced at 40+6. This time I'm hoping it just happens naturally!

Will set the facebook group up soon but need one other person to add to it to actually make it! Let me know if anyone doesn't mind being it in now just so I can make it!

Does MN not have the private message function anymore or am I just being dumb!?

HazyHazyJeans · 15/11/2016 13:52

Vegan I'll PM you about the FB group Smile

Had booking in earlier. It was all fine, very standard. Also got given my scan date letter there and then so I'm booked in for 15th December. Seems like AGES away but at least I've got the date to countdown to now...

Welcome nancy

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 13:59

Thanks Hazy! Now to just find where the PMs are! lol

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 14:01

Found PM! Had to access from safari rather than the app!
