I know but I'm terribly phobic of the dentist seeing consultant tomorrow so will see of there's anything she can suggest my BP is through the roof as it is!

haveacupoftea · 14/11/2016 22:20

dragon i am in the same boat...havent been to dentist for about 13 years Blush going to use this opportunity to get lots work done but so scared Sad

haveacupoftea · 14/11/2016 22:21

Dorothy Perkins carry maternity range in store and the jeans are v long on me, need turned up.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 14/11/2016 22:35

If you are really nervous dragon and tea and you don't have any toothache you can always wait until baby has been born and then go for your free dental care as it might be less stressful going when not pregnant. The only thing to consider is the logistics of sitting in a dentist chair for a period of time whilst you have baby in the pram not knowing if he will wake up as dentists rooms can be quite noisy. I'm not sure if you can have X-rays whilst pregnant either which you might need After not going to the dentist for a long time.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 14/11/2016 22:37

And I used to be shit scared of the dentist until I had an abscess and realised that dental work is far less painful. And believe me, if you can give birth then root canal is piss easy.

haveacupoftea · 14/11/2016 23:20

Thanks for info six... i'm sure granny and granda could babysit while i'm at the dentist! Oh God this is my first and i'm trying to convince myself labour will be a walk in the park Confused

Just brushing my teeth for bed and spontaneously threw up in the sink Hmm pregnancy is not glamorous Blush

Don't bank on anybody babysitting in the early days, especially if you are breastfeeding. There can literally be 10 minutes between feeds in the first six weeks or so. And not all breastfed babies will take a bottle. I think dc3 was about 4 months old before it was safe for me to pop out to the shops leaving him with DH even if I was only going to be half an hour.

MumofthreeandBean · 15/11/2016 06:13

six very true!!! I breastfed all mine so far and dc2 would have nothing but breast! He didn't sleep through until he was 2 &a he wrecked my boobies😂 The other 2 took bottles of expressed at times which was fab!

MumofthreeandBean · 15/11/2016 06:20

Good morning all.
I've had 8 hrs sleep and still feel like a zombie!
My tummy is getting in the way in bed now and with dh having a tummy too we are battling for room - I can see poor bump hanging over the side in the next few months 😂
7 days until my scan, so nervous, scared incase my tummy is empty, or that there is twins or something wrong, I was never like this with my others! Waiting until near 13 weeks is really hard for me.

For those that hate the dentist, me too, I do go but for my children, so they are not scared, it helps me to have one in the room with me so I have to act brace, had a filling with my daughter there last time and she was really proud of me!!

  • act brave 🙄
Sixisthemagicnumber · 15/11/2016 07:13

mumofthree my boobs were wrecked by ds3 who exclusively breastfed until 1. He only weaned because this pregnancy dried up my supply 😂

I am not talking to DH this morning. He came to bed 2 hours after I had gone to bed feeling sick last night and deliberately woke me up because he was feeling frisky. Needless to say he got a flea in his ear and we are both pissed off now. You would think that he would realise that this pregnancy malarkey is bloody hard work. He has had 3 pregnancies to work it out already. 😡

haveacupoftea · 15/11/2016 07:47

Every ten minutes Confused I have a lot to learn! six i was fuming with DF the other night because he had his friend round and they sat up and chatted to all hours. I could hear them upstairs and it kept me awake. I only forgave him when I went downstairs and saw my scan picture was sitting on the coffee table - I guess he needs someone to talk to about the baby too. Why in the middle of the night I don't know but that's men for you, I believe they're inherently self centred, like toddlers.

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 07:51

It was losing loads of weight that wrecked my boobs! But they are filling back up again now so DH is very happy!

He is fairly understanding that I don't always feel up for it but the odd time I don't feel nauseous I try to make the most of it. I'm pretty sure later on in the pregnancy I will feel less like it!

Need to keep reminding my boys not to be rough with me! They love leaping on me/my stomach and love wrestling.

Very delivery coming today with some big jumpers, Christmas jumper and some mat jeans. Hope they fit as well as last time!

MumofthreeandBean · 15/11/2016 07:56

Sex haha we have literally hadn't it once since conception!!!! 😊

Myfirstbornisacollie · 15/11/2016 08:49

Got a day to myself, hooray. Dropped DD at nursery and getting ready to meet friends for shopping and lunch. Should be concentrating on Christmas but top of my list is some comfy but not too scruffy yoga pants for slobbing about the house in.
Tried on dresses for Christmas so yesterday as it's 2 weeks Saturday and all of them look hideous. Still fitting in normal clothes and no discernible bump just a chubby middle Hmm
Hope you all have a good day

Sixisthemagicnumber · 15/11/2016 10:23

DH and I are still not speaking.
I'm Pissed off at the fact he woke me up and also that he broke the toilet seat and only made a half arsed attempt at fixing it. I'm sure half of my annoyance is pregnancy hormone related but he's an ass if he thinks he can go annoying a pregnant woman 👿

MumofthreeandBean · 15/11/2016 10:30

Oh six men don't understand!

I keep trying to get dh to comment on pregnancy stuff but he doesn't seem interested, there are reasons for that but I want support!
My kids ask how I am more than he does! Hoping the scan will bring him round, he sees it all as a big stress at the moment and I want to be happy!!
I did get him looking at prams the other day but then the conversation got changed and that was that 🙄

DizzyNorthernBird · 15/11/2016 10:33

We haven't had sex since a few days after bfp. I can't blame sickness though! For some reason we just haven't bothered! Maybe DP thinks is job is done after 2 years ttc!

I hope bf'ing doesn't wreck my boobs, they're my favourite part of my body!

Saw GP this morning, she's working off lmp which puts me at 10 weeks today instead f 9, ignoring the fact my cycles are on average 6/7 days longer than the 'standard' 28 used to calculate due date. The good news is this will hopefully speed up my scan appointment coming through as my notes will have me a week further on. Sil says she never got hers until 13 weeks as they're very busy (same hospital). Midwife is at the surgery today so GP reckons I should get a call today to arrange booking in. Fingers crossed!

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 10:44

It isn't feeding that changes boobs, it's pregnancy and also down to genetics/aging. Have a google as its quite a common myth x

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 11:15

Lol, we're still DTD fairly regularly, though DH had a sulk on Saturday morning as DS was at his Dad's and he expected some action in the morning (I was tired, needed a shower and really wasn't up for it!)...men can be such children sometimes, especially if they don't get their own way!

He's excited about the pregnancy, but isn't really talking about it much, I don't think it really seems real for them until they've seen a scan or you have a bump, as far as they're concerned nothings changed! He does ask me how me and baby are doing, and feels sympathetic when I'm not feeling my best, but doesn't really want to talk about much!

I'm waivering between a VBAC and ELCS...need to talk to someone about it..I'm 90% sure I want an ELCS, but am sort of tempted to try VBAC - DH doesn't want me to because he's worried about me ending up with a "bucket fanny"!!! Lol.

Anyway, got my scan appointment changed today, so will be at 12 weeks not 11 (the lady did say the absolute earliest they can do NT is 11+2)

oliversmummy26 · 15/11/2016 11:17

Also, weirdly was craving salad last night! So clearly baby has had enough of stodge and cookies!! Grin

Sorry toddler pressed send!

I had a vbac with my second. Recovery was much better (and I had a good emcs recovery tbh!). Also DH is very honest with me and he said said is the same as it was before.

It also felt very empowering having the vbac.

VeganMama83 · 15/11/2016 11:21

Clearly can't type today! Ignore my typos! Hmm

NauseousNancy · 15/11/2016 11:29

Hi :)

Hope it's ok to join so far in!

I am due sometime in June 2017. Very unexpected pregnancy - I was on the coil!!

Feeling very sick, only being sick in the mornings but feeling nauseous all day long. Sore boobs, sore back, exhausted...all great eh!!
