Popped home at lunchtime and my scan date letter has arrived! Booked for 6th December when I'll be 11 weeks bang on...

Great that I'll see baby so soon, but now worried that this will be too early for NT scan...though I guess they'll bring me back in a week or so later if baby is too small, so I get to see him twice Smile

MoonlightMojitos · 11/11/2016 16:50

Congrats on the scans lala and cat

I've been so horrendously sick today, don't know where it's come from and I've been so worried. I've not been too bad so far, feeling sick alot but only being sick a few time a week, and the last week I thought it was getting better. But this morning woke up and was sick every 5 mins trying to get ready for work... managed to drag myself in, was sick, tried drinking a few sips of water was sick, a few bits of toast was sick etc. Ended up going for home again an hour later as I'd been sick 6 times already. I've not even been able to keep water down, don't know what's going on as thought it was meant to be getting better now! I haven't been sick for an hour now which is longest I've gone all day so sipping water and will see how I go before braving some more toast 😓. Got such a headache but guess that's dehydration.

Aww thanks everyone for the lovely welcome! Smile

Mommy Which results were you phoning for? I hope they went ok?

Congratulations Lama and Cat!

Dizzy I think I remember you from the PCOS thread an age ago?! Great to see you here!
I've been completely off meat (except for hot sausage rolls Blush) for about a week now so a plain pizza would have been the only sensible option for me too- In fact you've got me wanting one too- I'm going to send DH out for one now! Grin

Ymmv You poor thing- I'm getting loads of sleep and I'm still feeling exhausted so I dread to think how you must be feeling.

Moon That sounds awful. I hope it subsides soon.

7+0 (ahhhhh!!!! I've always wanted to type that! Smile)

Masweetpea1 · 11/11/2016 17:16

mojitos, that's exactly what I've been like this week. I went home on Tuesday, as was being so sick. Then banging headache Wednesday. I fri like my morning sickness has stepped up a notch this week. Sad I've also got raging diarrhea today (but i have ibs so that can be normal). Though the retching definitely isn't normal ! I don't think i have a bug as I'm fine in between each episode.
Hope you feel better soon. Xx

I've just been browsing the NCT antenatal classes. They're £227. What are people's opinions on them? Worth it or a waste of money??? Confused

Mommytobe2017 · 11/11/2016 19:02

Rose the midwife found blood in my urine sample on Tuesday so they sent it off to be tested. I was on the phone waiting to speak to someone for 1hr20 Angry before giving up. Went into surgery on the way home... No results Sad I have to go back monday or tuesday...

No news is good news, right?

Anyway good news!! Got my scan date. 28th Nov!! 💜 Excited and nervous. How am I not going to pee for 2 hours before!!

moose
For me last time as a first time mum it was invaluable. I made some great friends and it was good having people to whatsapp at 3am when baby won't stop crying! Smile
It was good for the information about birth etc, but the breastfeeding talk was hopeless. Very biased towards breast feeding being the only way to ensure your baby gets everything they need. Thankfully we all knew that's not the case particularly as some of us weren't able to breast feed (me being one of them) in the end.

I won't do it this time as i have a big group of mum friends now so don't need it this time.

Oops 10+2 even. Getting carried away with myself.

Mooseville · 11/11/2016 19:57

Thanks sweetpea I will prob bite the bullet and do it, it's just such a lot of money!!

VeganMama83 · 11/11/2016 20:00

Wow loads to catch up on! I was up at 3.15am for work (overtime - I don't usually work fridays!) and I'm shattered now.

My dad asked today if I've stopped running and following my healthy eating so it's clearly pretty obvious I've put weight on.

Wish I could tell my parents. They knew straight away with my other pregnancies. Really hard not to say anything.

tea I have a mouth full of ulcers. Do you have the same?

haveacupoftea · 11/11/2016 20:06

Not ulcers thank god but i have a swollen gum and my mouth feels sore you know like if youve eaten a whole tub of salt and vinegar pringles - that kind of sore. My tongue is quite raw on one side.

MumofthreeandBean · 11/11/2016 21:02

Wow a lot of posts! I've missed lots.

been busy today, long road trip is not good pregnant!! I'm finally home and I am so tired!! Woke at 1.30 am and up at 4, out the door at 5.

I had a mouth ulcer a few weeks ago but now I've got a wisdom tooth coming through, I think my hormones have kick started it...

Sad It's so painful!!

KittyVonCatsington · 11/11/2016 21:46

ymmv · 12/11/2016 01:13

Dunno cupoftea are you doing your pelvic floor exercises?

I'm using an NHS app for mine or I'd forget/not bother.

DizzyNorthernBird · 12/11/2016 02:21

Ahh yes rosebud I was on that thread, I thought I'd seen your name somewhere before! I hope you enjoyed your pizza! I got the finest buffalo mozzarella pizza, it was scrummy!

lazy I'm getting mouth ulcers too, got one right at the bottom of the inside of my cheek, near to my wisdom tooth so I can't even annoy it properly with my tongue Sad

Mood swings are kicking in. I had rage/depression about having to do the evening shift tonight. I then ate a whole bag of m&s chocolate pretzels and popping candy popcorn (amazing!) and now I feel guilty Confused

Myfirstbornisacollie · 12/11/2016 06:25

Moose I did NCT and found the classes a bit rubbish. It was good to meet a local mum gang though and still in touch with them although no new best mates. An expensive way to get friends!
The antenatal group I met on here with DD moved to facebook and we're good friends 4 years later and have met up a few times. Having someone to talk to in the early hours when you are up feeding is a lifesaver.
DH was out last night so I made myself a chilli that I really fancied, gave myself heartburn and then went to bed at 8.45 rock & roll!

HazyHazyJeans · 12/11/2016 06:38

I was going to say as well myfirst that my MN antenatal group from DD was a lifesaver. Once it's on FB it's much easier to keep up. There was always someone up at 3am feeding to chat to if you needed it (still is always someone around at any hour!). I didn't bother with nct at all. I've heard mixed things about the classes & it really depends on the mix of people as to whether you'll get friends out of it or not.

Early scan today! Excited/nervous!

Welcome Cat and congratulations! Star

Mojitos that sounds truly horrific, I hope you and Ma are feeling better?

It sounds like it could be Norovirus? Constant vomming sometimes with diorama? I really hope you're feeling better and it passes quickly x x

If I doughnuts I'd be eating them!

So lovely seeing all the scans got mine Friday, can't wait to spill the beans! I'm sure my mum knows she's constantly asking how I am!

I'm not sleeping at all I feel the exhausted pain, awake for several hours every night usually between 4-6.

So sorry for all the sickness :(

ymmv i just presumed my pevlic floor would be strong enough Blush didnt think these problems could start this early. Google says its due to an increase of relaxin between 10 - 14 weeks. Thanks for the tip about the app, i am going to download it right now!

After weeks of no sickness i've spent this morning retching! But nothing in my tummy to bring up thankfully. Thank God it's the weekend and I can puke and wee myself in my own home Blush
