Flashing we are going to keep it quiet from DD age 3 as long as possible I think, she has a full on motormouth!! Very cute he's so excited though
Welcome Rose what lovely news after your TTC journey
Scans have put me a day either way but I'm sticking with 10+6 due date 3/6 I think!

Mooseville · 11/11/2016 06:06

Welcome rosebud What amazing news!!!!

Time appears to have slowed to an almost standstill! Next week is going to be a long week waiting for the scan!

Felt such a party pooper yesterday, the whole office was on a team building day and stayed over in a hotel for drinks. I'd have loved to have stayed (even not drinking!) but just couldn't handle all the not drinking questions as it would have been so obvious (I'm quite partial to a glass of wine or ten!) so made my excuses and came home. First time I've felt like I've been missing out. Can't wait until the scan so I can just tell them and stop lying!

Mooseville · 11/11/2016 06:07

Sorry 10 + 4

mrspage1985 · 11/11/2016 06:20

Congratulations Rose, love a happy ending! Fingers crossed this is yours
Collie beautiful scan picture, if your anything like me you haven't stoped staring at it!!!

Last night I went to Morrisons, husband was working late so I decided to treat myself to a cooked chicken and salad bar - including my absolute favourite, creamy spicy chicken pasta. It was only when I got home that I realised a- the pasta has mayo in it and god knows if it was fresh or bottled, and b- the salad bar sits out uncovered so that can't be the best surely?! In the end I just had the chicken and some lettuce - didn't want to take the risk! Am I being ott or would others not have eaten this either? X

Mooseville · 11/11/2016 07:27

mrspage I'd have probably just eaten it without a second thought!!!
But then I'm a bit more laid back about the food products, e.g. Deli meat etc. I'm not choosing to have them but not avoiding them completely if they cross my path i.e. Served at a friend's or somewhere iyswim! The ones I'd be most concerned about is the pate/liver Vit A type ones??

Mommytobe2017 · 11/11/2016 08:30

Morning!!

I've missed a whole lot of posts!
Yesterday was really busy so I didn't get chance to look.

Phoning for my test results. I am so worried. It's probably nothing but I worry anyway aha!

Early scan yesterday to convince myself there is something there - and there is! Peanut has a heartbeat and is attached to placenta. The sonographer was even able to tell me that I ovulated from the right side, which I am finding weirdly fascinating.

PS 7+6 - my dates are bang on according to measurements

lazybutton · 11/11/2016 08:56

Congratulations rose what wonderful news! 🎉

lama Ahhh little peanut! I'm a day behind you, so very tempted to get an early scan too.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/11/2016 09:24

Mrspage for the price they charge for their salad bars, I highly doubt the Mayo was homemade Grin the only risk I can see is in it standing around and being coughed on/flies landing on it, but you run the same risk of getting sick from that when you're not pregnant. I wouldn't worry.

Love a salad bar, me.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/11/2016 09:24

In fact, if you want to worry about something, can you be sure the lettuce was washed?

Masweetpea1 · 11/11/2016 09:28

Welcome rose, congratulations lama.

Happy friday everyone!! Smile

mrspage1985 · 11/11/2016 09:30

Ha my 'salad' didn't actually include any salad....just pasta and friend onion bits GrinGrin so no fear on the lettuce!! The lettuce I had in the end was fresh and washed!

peaceloveandbiscuits · 11/11/2016 09:43

I really want a salad bar now.

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/11/2016 10:08

Welcome rose! Mine isn't an IVF baby but I was ttc for 22 months until I got my bfp, mine was first cycle after having my hsg!

I would have eaten the salad too! I've been eating baguettes from my local sandwich bar and have no idea whether the Mayo is home made. I'm sure it's fine, like moose said i would personally be most wary of pate and liver products.

Think food aversions might be starting to kick in. I went to tesco last night for a pizza and was stood looking at the choices feeling massively turned off by most of the toppings. Ended up with a margarita which was just yum! My mum tells me my sis has gone off meat too (she's currently 20 wks).

Hope you're all well!

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday - thank heavens it's finally here, been such a long week and I'm desperate for a lie in tomorrow!

Massive congratulations to rosebud what lovely news Flowers

Flashing that's so cute about your DS, my DS is 4 and started school in September. We haven't told anyone yet but he will be the first we tell as once he knows he's such a blabber mouth Grin

Anyone else short tempered and in a generally foul mood? I feel like I've got PMT today, everyone at work is pissing me off and making me generally really cross...then the next minute I'm so cross I feel like I could cry!! Talk about emotional roller coaster!!

Skee · 11/11/2016 10:57

Welcome Rosebud and congratulations on your wonderful news Star

Congratulations to everyone with their lovely scan pics too x x

I need a winge... by the time I finish at another event tonight, I'll have completed another 70hr week. I have tomorrow off, but my in laws are coming to stay, and then I've got another event on Sunday. I'm fed up, shattered, and absolutely hating work right now. The company I work for is a bloody disaster at the moment, and it's pretty stressful.

I think it's more frustrating that people don't know what you're dealing with - this growing a human malarkey is pretty tough! - and I wonder if people would be a little more helpful if only they knew?

I was crippled with nausea for about 4wks, and thankfully it's seems to have improved over the last 4 days. So naturally, I'm worried about that.... I'm now thinking I would have loved an early scan, but there isn't any time available between now and when my 12wk scan is due. Just hoping everything's ok in there...!

Anyway, sorry for the shite chat Blush

Hope everyone else is holding up! Flowers

rosebud Huge congratulations!! What wonderful news Flowers

myfirst & olivers haha my DP said we shouldn't tell DS yet either, I was so sure he'd be fine! He must be so excited to have done that though. But the fact that he actually put his hand up in class and spoke out loud to everyone is a hugeee deal so I am just immensely proud of that (he has SEN - currently waiting for an autism assessment).

skee It sucks that the crappiest part of the pregnancy is where you have to keep it a secret. 70 hour weeks plus not being able to rest on your days off sounds really tough. I'm glad your nausea is easing up though.

My midwife phoned to rearrange my booking today as she's been at a homebirth all night. But unless I can change my shift on Tuesday, I can't do any dates til I am over 10 weeks.

ymmv · 11/11/2016 12:06

I am so tired and not been getting to sleep early enough and then waking early and not being able to get back to sleep but today I got back to sleep! So I've just got up and I still feel dreadful.

No one tells you how shit you'll feel. Whenever anyone is all, "How're you doing?" and they look excited I'm just all, "shit. pregnancy sucks". buzz kill. Grin

I hope you can change your shift FlashingLights fx

Who said about food aversion? Is that a thing then? My DP made curry last night and I turned it down (had a feta and mint and courgette omelette instead) so he thinks I might be a changeling now. The place reeks of curry today. boak.

ymmv · 11/11/2016 12:06

oops. 8+3 I think

Catlady100 · 11/11/2016 13:04

Hi all- can I join please. Had some bleeding yesterday so got a scan at EPU and everything looking okay measuring exactly 7-3 as expected. A real relief as had a MMC in July. 😀😀 Cat
