More blood when I wipe and more this time :-( can't help worrying but DH said I had the same last time (I did) and not to worry. Might just give my MW a text in a bit to see what she thinks.

vegan, my due date buddy. I am also bleeding when wiping. I panicked because I thought it was related to my HG so went to the unit and the MWs told me not to worry as it could be to do with placenta taking over at this stage. So hard to stay calm though isn't it!

MumofthreeandBean · 09/11/2016 08:16

vegan if it puts your mind at rest then call, it won't hurt! 💋

11 weeks today by my dates, less sick and eating more.
Woken today with a sore throats and runny nose, thought I'd escaped the flu in my house because I got the jab but maybe not.

I have a long day on Friday, driving daughter 3.5hours to Leeds for a taster day at the northern school of dance, I'm dreading the drive! I don't usually go more than 1-2hrs away 😕 Any tips for easy car snacks?? Don't want to stop more than I need to

VeganMama83 · 09/11/2016 09:04

Thanks ladies! Spoke to midwife she said (again) very common in early preg and not to worry. Put a pad on and if it gets more or I have pain then to call GP and they can sort scan. I've got no pain at all, nothing shows on my csp it's only when I wipe and also period would have been due now. So trying to be logical about it. Esp as seen a heartbeat and early scan was fine.

VeganMama83 · 09/11/2016 09:08

mumofthree I would take things like fruit, nakd bars, sandwich/wrap, nuts etc

babyand · 09/11/2016 09:43

Hope all is well vegan Flowers try to do something nice for yourself today as a bit of a distraction if you can.

babyand oh no! I hope your GP helps!

Just been to EPU - all is well! She's put me at 7+2 (should be 9+0 by LMP). The doctor counselled me before the scan and told me afte that she was expecting the worst because she didn't feel it was a progressive pregnancy at the last scan. I am feeling a huge relief for now, lovely heartbeat seen.

CaptainWarbeck · 09/11/2016 10:56

Babyand hope you get given something. I was in exactly the same situation, finding it impossible to get through the day, and am now taking metaclopramide which has helped the nausea and vomiting. Makes me tired though, but still better. Can you get anyone to watch your little one so you can rest up a bit? There's a hyperemesis thread running in pregnancy which I've found really helpful to read through. Hope you feel better soon, it's really awful. Flowers

MrsRose1987 · 09/11/2016 11:19

Hi All. I haven't contributed in a while but I have been following. I was just wondering if I'm the only one that hasn't heard from the midwife yet? I'll be 8 weeks Saturday, phoned a week ago for an appointment but haven't heard anything. Phoned the surgery again today and they said if I haven't heard anything by 10 weeks to phone back. I'm getting really stressed out now and struggling to sleep with worry. I had DD with a different team of midwives and it worked out very differently to this time. At this rate I won't even getting my 12 week scan before Christmas and I don't know how much more I can take not knowing if everything is OK.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 09/11/2016 11:58

rose I am 8+1 and I haven't heard from the midwives yet either. It's self referral to midwives in my area and they don't normally take your referral until you are at least 8 weeks and after that you have to wait a week or 2 for a midwife to phone you with an appointment. They took my referral at 7 weeks but I haven't heard anything yet. They said only to ring back if I haven't heard anything by 10 weeks.
It was the same in my previous pregnancy but I got my booking in at 10 weeks and had my first scan at about 12 and a half weeks. There isn't really much that they can offer in terms of reassurance at the first scan as it is mostly form filling, blood taking and a quick check of your Urine for protein.
Is booking an early private scan an option for you to provide a bit of reassurance?
This waiting malarkey absolutely sucks.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 09/11/2016 11:59

Sorry that should say that there isn't much they can offer in terms of reassurance at the booking in appointment. Obviously the first scan is very reassuring.

MrsRose1987 · 09/11/2016 12:22

I'm glad I'm not the only one Six. With DD I phoned the midwife at 4 weeks and was given a booking in appointment for 8 weeks. With my new surgery you have to fill in a form and wait to be contacted. it would just be nice to have a midwife's number just in case. I'm worried that I might not get my 12 week scan until later and I'm literally worried sick and need to see that my baby is OK sooner rather than later. I've booked a private scan for Sunday but I had a tilted womb with DD so needed an internal scan. Obviously this won't even offered at a private clinic so may come away worse than I am now.

lamafarmer · 09/11/2016 12:55

I was worried about some symptoms (7+4 today but 8+4 according to LMP) so I called the local community midwives (googled their number). They were so nice and gave me my midwife's (at GP) number. I've not been able to speak to her yet as she only does 3 days a week, but it helped me stop worrying!

MrsRose1987 · 09/11/2016 13:29

Lama I feel very on my own. Really am grateful hat this is #2 as with DD I had a suspected ectopic/cyst. Had an early scan at 6 weeks. Can't imagine how I would have coped if it wasn't or the midwife and EPU. May give the EPU a call as they were amazing with DD.

MissisBee · 09/11/2016 13:34

baby sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Hope you get something that helps.

Glad all is well flashing

I can understand all the anxiety, feels like the time is at a standstill. I'd promised myself I didn't need a private scan but gave in last week.

Toasted soda bread is the food of the day today. Feeling a bit migrainey which doesn't help.

mrspage1985 · 09/11/2016 13:49

MrsRose I have had an internal scan at a private clinic - imagine it depends on which one you go to.

My period type pain has subsided mainly but still got a few random twitches - have booked a scan for this afternoon.
I'm sure / hope that I'm just worrying for nothing - I'd had a scan only Sunday just gone and everything was fine (as it was at previous 2) but I can't help but worry.
Am aware having 4 private scans prior to the 12 weeks one is slightly ridiculous but I can't hold out another week (which is when the 12 weeks nhs scan is) to know everything is ok. Keep your fingers crossed for me xx

MrsRose1987 · 09/11/2016 15:10

MrsPage I've already contacted them and they said that they don't offer an internal scan but if they can't find anything then they'll refer me to the EPU. With DD they couldn't even find my womb so hopefully I'll either have that again or they'll find a bean with a heart beat. I don't think I'd be this stressed out if it wasn't or my MC.

HazyHazyJeans · 09/11/2016 15:36

So pleased you got good news flashing

Sorry you're feeling so poorly babyand. We're due date buddies. I'm still feeling very nauseous but you sound like you're having it much worse! Sad

I've been wondering how you've been doing rose. I totally understand the worry. I have a private scan booked for Saturday. I hope you can get one to put your mind at ease

Thinking of everyone who is struggling today. The pressure is huge at the best of times but this time of year piles it on a bit more. As does not being able to tell everyone - for those who haven't told - I have because I can't hold my own piss!

Getting sharp pains on my left side, hoping just round ligament pains.

mrspage1985 · 09/11/2016 17:14

Tea I'm sure that is what it is - I have the same which is what worried me into getting yet another scan - just left there and everything was perfect and baby was having a right dance around!!
The sonographer told me that there is loads of twinges and bits of pain and it's normally just the stretching / growing / moving around xxx

Pic of baby ... I don't know how I'm gonna cope not having scans all the time after the 12 weeks! I'm on first name terms with my scan clinic!!

I've caved in... early scan tomorrow evening.

Has anyone had/been offered the Flu jab yet?

Mooseville · 09/11/2016 17:56

Afternoon everyone!

Hope all those with bleeds, twinges and sickness all get better.

I'm so tempted to have another early scan myself but can't really justify the expense! There's nothing at all wrong but just because the symptoms are easing I'm getting more anxious to find out that it's all ok! 12 days to go till the actual scan though!
The huge blue lines are still all over my boobs so I'm taking that as a good sign!
