Paperandpaint when my midwife listened in with the doppler the other day she said I had an anterior placenta, not confirmed by scan yet. She had to go quite low down towards my pubic bone to be able to pick up the heartbeat, but hoping that means it's high enough up not to cause problems.

I've definitely felt thumps and bumps, but can't feel anything with my hand yet, but it's earlier than I felt anything at all with DD (who had a sensibly placed placenta) so just waiting patiently. I think judging by how stupidly active it was on the scans (and when it kicked the doppler!) I'm only feeling a fraction of what it is doing. More worried about later on and that it might make me panic over lack of movements.

Lovely countryside walk today, followed by making crab apple jelly and a snooze on the sofa, pretty perfect Sunday afternoon. Hope everyone else has had a nice weekend!

9th is a popular day, there's 5 of us!

MyGreenSofa · 23/10/2016 20:15

Mrsrhubarb - would they not have picked up anterior placenta on the 12 week scan?!

I've felt a bit crampy this weekend but rather across top of belly. Perhaps trapped wind? It actually feels a bit like Braxton Hicks, but surely far too early?! I was sick a couple of times yesterday too pretty much out of nowhere. I dunno!

MrsRhubarb · 23/10/2016 21:28

MyGreenSofa Ha, just looked at my notes and yes, at my scan they did indeed note anterior placenta. I was randomly emotional after my scan due to being told I had to take aspirin (no idea why, it just set off the tears) so obviously missed that.

MrsRhubarb · 23/10/2016 21:30

Well spotted Finova hello other 9ers! I look forward to watching the day zoom by and being bitter about how the rest of you all have your babies before me Grin

finova · 23/10/2016 22:06

Haha! Mine have been 40+2 and 40+3 on that sample of 2, I think I'll be between the 11th and 14th!

MrsRhubarb · 24/10/2016 06:41

DD was 41 weeks, so I'm assuming the same again in order to not get my hopes up! That last week took forever last time.

Celen · 24/10/2016 06:56

MrsRhubarb have you had a history of mc's? That maybe why they've prescribed aspirin?

I got my maternity clothes out over the weekend. It was like seeing old friends again! I have jeans from Mothercare sale but they aren't great. Have ordered some more leggings from ASOS.

Have a horrible cold atm so am calling in sick today. DD (17months) went batshit last night so none of us had any sleep. DP is on half term so was supposed to have her today anyway. Someone tell me this will stop in the next 6 months?

choccybiscuit · 24/10/2016 08:22

waves to the other 9ers! I have a feeling it will probably be here right at the beginning of April though

TopKittyKat · 24/10/2016 09:04

Hi 9ers. Shall we get a sweepstake going? I'm betting that none of us deliver on the 9th Grin

jpeg28 · 24/10/2016 09:05

Just catching up from the weekend....
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
I had an amazing time in Copenhagen! Food was difficult though as everything was a tasting menu and sometimes I couldn't eat parts Sad apart from that was lovely to get away.

My bump has grown so much in the last couple of days! Still surrounded by chubby fat tho!

I've not done a lot of exercise lately aside from walking so must start a new regime! My arms and thighs are definitely gaining weight!!

petiteange28 · 24/10/2016 09:38

paperandpaint and jpeg28 I'm trying desperately to keep up on the exercise. Was a big runner, hockey player, cyclist, squash player etc etc before I got pregnant and so now I just feel like an absolute heffalump. Obviously the only thing I can 'safely' do on that list is running so have done a bit of plodding. Definitely nothing spectacular but a 20 minute very slow plod I figure is better than nothing. Although, one of my colleagues was so horrified when she saw me in the gym she virtually pulled me off the treadmill and told me to take it easy......

My bump definitely feels more chub than bubba at the moment. Can't wait for it to actually look like I am pregnant rather than just a greedy so and so.

Cath3081 · 24/10/2016 10:27

Just adding myself to the list...
Hope everyone has a good week Flowers

MrsRhubarb · 24/10/2016 10:40

Celen Nope, it was because my mum had very high blood pressure during pregnancy. I pointed out that mine had been a stable 100/60 all the way through my last pregnancy, which was exactly what she measured that day, but the midwife had a bit of a flap and asked the doctor who said to prescribe it. I decided not to take it until I had spoken to my own midwife, who agrees that there is no need unless there are any changes.

I think I was fustrated that they would prescribe that, but not the new course of ondansetron, even though I nearly threw up on her when she did my bloods. And at the minute everything makes me cry, so I burst into tears on the way back to the car much to DHs alarm. Really hoping I pack that in soon.

TopKitty I think you are right! Grin

Jpeg Pleased you had a lovely time, Copenhagen is on my list of places I'd love to go.

I've fallen out of the habit of doing yoga, must get back on that. I've definitely felt more twinges and ouches such since I stopped. I cycle quite a bit, so I'm keeping that up for now.

Certainly a busy month April!

My bump is definitely coming through but still looks a bit more like chub than bub. Grin I was going to try normal jeans on Saturday but figured 'why suffer?' so cracked out the maternity jeans. So much more comfortable. What size tops have people been buying? Trousers I went up a size to 12 but I've tried some 12 tops and they seem massive!! I'm usually a generous 10 lol.

My dream genii pillow arrived Saturday. It is so comfortable but I haven't had a good nights sleep since! Maybe coincidence and maybe because I'm just not used to something else in the bed!! Hopefully it will get better. Also have found that I'm much more comfortable on my right side than my left! Angry Typical!

jpeg28 · 24/10/2016 12:02

MrsR Copenhagen is amazing but so expensive to eat and drink. Two coffees and a juice cost £20!!!

MrsB I'm a generous 10 too and trousers have gone up to a 12, in terms of tops it's my boobs that are the problem! I'm still in old tops for now but think I'll go for size 12 tops as I just can't believe how giant my boobs are!

IrnBrufan · 24/10/2016 12:23

jenny my 16 month old had her MMR 4 weeks ago and has been a nightmare at night ever since. I did some reading and apparently round about the 18 month mark there is a sleep regression and also they can suffer from separation anxiety around this time as well! Nightmare

JennyOfOldstones · 24/10/2016 12:35

IrnBru we never really recovered after the 10 month sleep regression! We get a couple of nights perfect sleep then a couple of nights like last night. Makes it even more annoying as we know she can do it! I've never seen her as upset as she was last night Sad

marmitecheesetoast · 24/10/2016 14:41

Hi all just checking in quickly with quick question - anyone else who works in an office and sits at a desk all day noticing they are starting to get sort of a numb bum?! But actually feels more sore than numb and can start to feel going up my glutes into lower back? When I clench my bum muscles it really hurts! I sit down all day but have always been really religious at getting up at least once an hour even before pregnancy so not sure what else I can do as not sure what's causing it... or if it's just a normal preggo thing? I don't get this when sat down on the sofa etc at home?! Just wondered if anyone else having similar!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 24/10/2016 16:28

marmite - I found office chairs terribly uncomfortable during my last pregnancy and ended up buying one of those kneeling-stool things which was a little better but demanded a degree of core strength I didn't really have, so ended up chopping and changing between the stool and a normal chair through the day.

I'm just back from a long weekend hiking in the Lake District - although a bit slower and less ambitious than normal I still managed a couple of fairly serious hikes and felt much better for the fresh air (though the nausea hasn't gone completely and am feeling a bit weary and sick today). Still was good to do some actual exercise for the first time in 3 months! Might try some gentle running now I am feeling a bit more human again - kept it up to mid-way through last pregnancy but then pelvis pain put a stop to it. Also looking forward to pregnancy yoga classes again!

Strubo · 24/10/2016 18:50

Evening all. Had my 16 week appointment today (at 17 weeks!) and MW agreed to refer me to the consultant as Ive requested an elective section this time, as recommended by my orthopaedic consultant. He hasn't written anything in the notes though so I need to convince the dr!! I'm seeing them next week as that was the only available appointment so I'm hoping I can convince them.

I've had 2 natural deliveries but I had surgery on my hip in May and there's a chance that another natural birth could cause me more damage, I'm not prepared to risk that!

jpeg28 · 24/10/2016 18:56

The Lake District sounds lovely bubbins and great exercise!

My OH finally painted the kitchen today (started in August!!) but the kitchen is now out of action... take away on a Monday feels very naughty!!!
