Thanks for setting up new group celen And for putting a link to it on the old one. The last group didn't have one and I thought I'd lost you all! Sad I was like a lost kid in the supermarket. "Mum!! Where are you??!!" Grin

I have that Bump to Birthday book Marmite it's lovely. I love keepsake things like that.

Ordered my Dream genii pillow from Amazon last night. Can't wait for it to arrive.

SharkBastard · 21/10/2016 08:59

I barely slept last night, decided to come downstairs and like jpeg watched Greys Anatomy...in fact still am!

Called in sick as I got about 3 hours sleep. This insomnia is horrible

abeandhalo · 21/10/2016 09:15

I was recommended a local hypnobirthing lady so I think we will definitely go for the free 30 mins taster session. But I'm quite up for it, I have only heard positive things from people who have done it really. You're right about the eye-watering expense though!

Got a docs appointment this morning because my allergies and eczema are out of control! I've got this phlegmy cough thing I've had for the entire pregnancy which I'm pretty sure is just another allergy system. Midwife said hystemines can increase during pregnancy which is definitely what has happened, but I had enough to begin with and without taking anti-hystemines I don't know what to do!

Theknittinggorilla · 21/10/2016 10:11

Hi everyone. Thanks for the new thread celen. Haven't been around much as life seems to be very hectic at the moment! 14 weeks tomorrow and still feeling sick in the afternoons, fed up now. I think it is starting to get better but every now and then have a rubbish day. Sympathy with all those still suffering.
Have now told work officially so a relief to no longer be trying to hide the ridiculous baby bump! Also sure I have been feeling the odd little flutter - feels a bit early but I'm sure I was getting some movement at 15 weeks ish with dc2. Can't wait to get into proper movement time!

Will catch up with the thread properly later on, hope everyone is well!

petiteange28 · 21/10/2016 10:14

Hi all,

I'm hoping I can join in. I have been keeping an eye on the thread but was holding off until I was sure everything was ok.......I'm of the riper variety you see so had convinced myself something was going to go wrong!

I also bought the bump to birth book. It's just such a nice place to keep notes and pics of scans etc.

I'm looking forward to sharing the next 6 months with all you ladies!

Ps. I'm due 21st April so 14 weeks today Grin

Puggleface · 21/10/2016 10:51

Morning all! Just place marking! Gosh we are a chatty bunch!
Nice to see some more lovely new faces! April is set to be a busy month! What happened to our stats sheet? I'm on my phone so can't easily look back and find it but I think it might need an update!
15 weeks today. I've had this week off work but have been feeling more tired than ever! Yawn!

Littlespoon · 21/10/2016 11:52

Checking in! Sorry I was so quiet in the last thread.
17 weeks today! How're you all doing? x

purpleviolet1 · 21/10/2016 12:28

Hi all,

I've been following but never posted. Had 2 miscarriages (12 weeks and 6 weeks) this year so been feeling quite anxious. Also had spotting from 9-15 weeks in this pregnancy which totally did not help. No cause found but my last scan at 15+5 was all good.

17 weeks today too !

Nice to meet you all Smile

mrsbobflob · 21/10/2016 15:13

Hi everyone! Checking in after not saying very much for weeks! Have just had 12 week scan and been unable to get a nuchal measurement Confused Has this happened to anyone else? I've been offered the quadruple test with my midwife next week instead...

abeandhalo- I have some awesome Hmm allergies that developed after my last pregnancy and have been taking a low does of antihistamines because otherwise I'd scratch my skin off. The specialist I saw before I got pregnant didn't say it would be a problem and I was really clear with her on our plan to have another baby soon...hope taking them hasn't caused any problems now...but def couldn't cope without at the minute. Massive sympathy for you anyway!

Sorry, forgot who asked about hypnobirthing!
We had hypnobirthing classes through the hospital last time so no charge. Might be worth checking if yours offer them, although they do get booked up really early. Found it great for late pregnancy insomnia but by the time I got into a delivery room last time (was on induction ward until the last hour without pain relief) I was not in the mood for soothing calm-voiced lady and told my husband in no uncertain terms to put it off! Might work better with a gentle build up...

Sorry for the essay Grin

jpeg28 · 21/10/2016 15:33

Welcome to everyone new! Purple great to see you on here Grin

abe hope your allergies etc clear up or at least you can keep them at bay, that must be so annoying.

shark hope you're feeling better and well done on the greys anatomy, I could watch it all day!!

I have just finished school for half term and I'm the way to the airport to meet my friends in Copenhagen, cannot wait! Unfortunately I'll be the sober one but still good fun! I stupidly am still wearing my normal jeans and I've been so uncomfortable all day, maternity jeans will be out tomorrow for sure!!

Happy Friday everyone!!

MyGreenSofa · 21/10/2016 15:40

Mrsbob They were unable to get a nuchal measurement at my 12 week scan but just rebooked the scan - they had to call me in at very short notice the next day to come back as an appointment had come up as they hadn't actually been able to rebook due to lack of appointments and the measurements needing to be done by a certain date!

I think we need to start our stat list again. Lots of due dates have changed, we have lots of newbies, and sadly a fair few ladies have had to leave us. I'll start the list here with the due dates I can find on this thread but please add yourself in then we should try and remember to copy the list to the first post of the next thread...we can also start adding in team pink/blue/yellow! I have tried to calculate some of your due dates, apologies for any mistakes!

I did the hypnobirthing cd with DD and it was fab for falling asleep. I think it was 40 mins but I never made it past 10.

It all went out of the window as I was induced but sure it would have helped with breathing etc if I had labored at home for ages.

sarahhh1984 · 21/10/2016 15:46

MyGreenSofa- glad I'm not the only one! Unfortunately my due date changed at the scan to 13+5, no appointments for the next day so they tried twice while I was there and that's it! Can't be done once you reach 14 weeks Confused Good you got yours sorted though! Was just hoping to have a bit of reassurance before we started telling people, but never mind. I'm getting enormous now so will have to broach the subject soon! Anyone else not told work/ family yet?

Sorry to see a few of you were also not able to sleep last night. Luckily I managed to get back to sleep (albeit fitfully).

Do you know, I haven't actually watched Grey's Anatomy. I might have to have that as one of my mat leave box sets.

Avengerhart85 · 21/10/2016 16:07

Does anyone know if hospitals still hire tens machines? I used YouTube to teach myself hypnobirthing techniques and a tens machine and was lucky to have an easy (as easy as it can be!) labour with DS so was hoping for the same again.

sarahhh1984 · 21/10/2016 16:09

I think it depends on the hospital, Avenger. I'm sure I've seen on some websites that they do but it probably depends on your area. Smile

MyGreenSofa · 21/10/2016 16:50

I'm pretty sure you can hire them from mothercare Avenger, if you can't get one from your hospital.

abeandhalo · 21/10/2016 16:55

Just saw the GP about my allergies and received a goodie bag with a prescription nasal spray, cream and penicillin for infected eczema. The best bit was when he said 'do you want to show me the worst area?' and I thought, 'should I just whip my tits out now?' I opted for my lower back instead!!

The next person that tells me pregnancy is beautiful is going to get laughed at! Hmm

marmitecheesetoast · 21/10/2016 17:04

I LOVE Greys Anatomy Jpeg and Shark! McDreamy - swooon!

To be fair topkitty he received a fair few heavy hints to buy me one!

Have an amazing time in Copenhagen Jpeg, you can eat more interesting pastries/cakes to make up for the calorie you're not drinking Wink

I'm on my phone but if someone could add me to the list on next update that'd be grand. Due 14th April, DC1
