Urgh feeling miserable this morning. I fell asleep on the sofa last night woke up went to the toilet and I'm sure there was a pinky brown tinge when i wiped (tmi) had nothing since but I had deep achey pain for about an hour afterwards. But it could have been my imagination as I was in a post deep sleep haze

I'm off for a blood test today to check thyroid levels (long history of thyroid problems) and I just don't feel pregnant.

Although as I write this I've got sore boobs and feel a bit peaky!

I hate this part of pregnancy!

Poppydm · 24/10/2016 08:07

Really hope everything is ok Mummy2squish

annakd1234 · 24/10/2016 08:28

I had my first vomit this morning. Was sat choking down my porridge this morning when all of a sudden I knew it was coming, I sprinted to the downstairs bathroom but didn't make it in time so it went all down the wall outside Sad
Made it to the toilet and dp came to rub my back, had to then tell him to clean his work shoes as he was probably stood in a puddle of my vomit without realising Sad
Really don't want to beat work today!
Hope others are feeling better!

MrsPotatoHead80 · 24/10/2016 08:48

Hi! Lurker here ready to join.
I'm 6+3 with a 9 yo...10 when bump arrives!
Anyone else got such a big age gap?
DH wants to wait until 12 weeks before we tell everyone but DD is a smart cookie & is already asking a lot of questions. I really want to surprise her as she's waited so long to be a big sister. I'm worried she'll work it out for herself soon!

FlashingLights · 24/10/2016 08:50

Lots to catch up on here!! I will have a read through later - you guys have been busy. I've worked 3 nights in a row - off to sleep now!

I hope all is ok mummy2

I've got sore nipples! Really bruised feeling and super sore - it feels awful but I am sooo pleased that my body has finally realised it's pregnant!!

Somewhere between 4+6 and 7+0 Hmm I'll also add myself to the spread sheet once I've had my next scan on Thursday

BoBo90 · 24/10/2016 08:54

Mummy2squish I had some pink/brown tinged mucus last night too. After a quick google it seems to be completely normal 😊 Or not had any cramps and hopefully yours were just badly timed stretching cramps and baby is fine 🙂 Good luck at gp's today X

Anna - oh no! Cleaning up sick is worse than being sick I find. That's what I'm worried about at work, being a postie I'm either going to have to arty sick bags around with me or just hope and pray it doesn't happen. Luckily so far my nausea seems to be an evening thing!

8 weeks today!

Monkeyandthebear · 24/10/2016 10:04

Hi all, how are we?

I have felt pretty rough all weekend, but that might be because I have stopped caffeine. Feel exhausted until I go to bed then I feel wide awake! Ordered my first baby book which should arrive today. Feel like I need to understand what I should and shouldn't be doing.

I have been doing Body Balance (yoga and Pilates type class) for months now and have a class booked tonight. I am thinking that there is no problem going but should I mention it to the instructor? Feel silly when I am so barely pregnant. On a plus point my instructor is about 20 weeks so she will know what she is talking about.

4+5 today (going to be a long 35+ weeks)

Creatureofthenight · 24/10/2016 10:14

Hello all, I have just added myself to the spreadsheet (I think).
I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/10/2016 10:46

squish I had the pinky brown discharge one day last week and one day this weekend. I panicked at first but DH reminded me that I had it with ds1 15 years ago and all turned out well. I'm still a little worried but deep down I think everything is okay and it
Is quite common. I do have very heavy periods and I wonder if it is more common in those with heavy periods due to the extra volume of blood in the uterus lining Confused. I don't really know but despite the discharge I feel okay.

mrspotato I have a large age gap between dc2 & dc2 (12 years). Be prepared for people to assume that this was is a happy accident due to the age gap and for some rude people to tell you that you are insane for starting the baby phase all over again 😡

Sixisthemagicnumber · 24/10/2016 10:47

mrspotato mumofthreeandbean who is in the thread will have a large age gap when bean arrives Smile

oliversmummy26 · 24/10/2016 10:57

Good morning ladies,

wow - so much to catch up on!! I'm now 4+6 and have doctors appointment this afternoon to confirm, I feel so far behind some of you!!

Currently ravenous all the time, especially when I wake up and just after eating lol! I also tend to feel a bit nauseous if I don't eat regularly, so no chances of me losing any weight any time soon!

I'm so bloated at the moment, I was looking back at old bump photos from when I was pregnant with DS as I look 20 weeks already!

Re. maternity jeans, defo go for over bump ones, so comfy, the only problem is the over bump bit is usually dark blue so you can't always get away with light coloured tops.

I've just ordered some from H&M (they were the best I found last time, and also do great maternity/nursing tops).

We're waiting until at least 12/13 weeks to tell anyone, not even telling our parents just yet. AS we want to make sure baby is tip top before we do. Going to have to get through the Christmas party season as the designated driver I think!

Have great monday's ladies!

oliversmummy26 · 24/10/2016 10:57

Oh meant to say - my boobs are killing me! Feeling really heavy and sore like they did when I was breastfeeding and baby hadn't had a feed!

Donostia · 24/10/2016 11:17

This is quite TMI but by June I'm sure we'll have no boundaries among us...!!

So I've had sore boobs since I first suspected, but last night I gave them a squeeze and the tiniest tiniest drop of (colostrum?) came out. Now I feel pregnant!! It could be that they would have done the same before but it did make me feel strangely excited!

5+0 today!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/10/2016 12:02

monkey I was also wondering about body balance. I've only just recently started as it's the nearest thing my gym has to yoga and Pilates. I googled whether it was safe and the results suggest it's fine but you should avoid inverted poses and twists, even in first trimester. I'm not experienced enough in yoga to know which poses are classed as inverted though! So I was just going to give the class a miss, which is a shame as I love it and had been wanting to get back into yoga for ages.

ps if you like the les mills classes their website has a page about which of their classes are safe. I was pleased to see that body pump is safe Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/10/2016 12:06

Oh and if you do decide to speak to the instructor let me know what she says, we have a bloke instructing the class here so I'm not sure how much help he might be!

LittleLight42 · 24/10/2016 12:14

Hi lovely ladies,

I had a chat with my doctor today re:exercise and he told me to just keep doing what I was doing, minus contact sports- I train Krav Maga and there is a lot of hitting so I will pause that until the baby's born.I also spoke to a few instructors in the gym and they all agree that in the first trimester you should keep doing what you were doing (in my case, aerobics, Pilates and step)

Geeky as I am, I also bought a book on exercise and pregnancy and apparently research shows no bad effects to the child...
Any personal experiences?

Hope the nausea subsides x
(5+0)

Monkeyandthebear · 24/10/2016 12:25

Dizzy I think I will talk to her. I know she doesn't do the twists at the moment or modifies some bits e.g. Press ups on knees etc. I think because she is pregnant she is really my best option for advice. I will let you know how I get on.

MoonlightMojitos · 24/10/2016 12:56

Sorry to those feeling rough, I was sick this morning first thing too but seem to be OK since luckily (still feel sick all the time but haven't actually been sick again)

Fx for your drs app mummy

I told my yoga teacher I was pg straight away and she asked me not to come back until after first trimester! I think it's probably more a just in case thing but I'm not doing anything now as I wasn't doing much right before bfp so don't want to start. There is a pilates class near me too so might ring and she what they say.

7+4

MrsPotatoHead80 · 24/10/2016 13:42

Lol Six fully expecting that. Must admit I did spend the first 24 hours wondering if it really was a good idea but then realised I was being a total tit.
With both DD and bump we tried for ages to get preggers and as soon as we decided to stop trying and do something else (big holiday...move house) WHAM!

Mommytobe2017 · 24/10/2016 13:45

Hope you're all doing ok today.

I've been having physio on my back so I've rearranged my appt for after my MW appt to see what treatment I can still have.

I feel for all of you ladies with bad sickness. Not much to report from me today, still hungry and cold so no different to normal.

6+6

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/10/2016 13:52

I'm sure YouTube will have some pregnancy yoga tutorials, might have a look later.

I've got a great book on pregnancy exercise, it details what you can do during each trimester and has some workouts too. Apparently if your body is used to running marathons it's safe to continue for as far into the pregnancy as you feel able to! The main advice is as above, avoiding anything where there's risk of falling later on or impact with the abdomen.

Blueskyrain · 24/10/2016 14:02

I'm hungry, always hungry. Theres a constant knawing hunger sensation, even when I've just eaten. The only nausea so far has been when I haven't eaten for about 12 hours or when passing smelly food. Can't complain I guess

5 weeks, 3 days.

I've just had pulled pork and a giant portion of fries. Nom nom. Am hungry again now.

mrspage1985 · 24/10/2016 14:07

I have heard keep up excersise apart from contact sports as well.
I have been swimming and going in the gym but have dropped down the weights I lift to avoid straining!

Booking appt this morning - midwife was lovely. Had my flu jab done at the same time as well as blood taken so my arm looks like a pin cushion now but at least it's done!!!

mrspage1985 · 24/10/2016 14:09

Meant to say - google pregnancy yoga, they do special classes.
My midwife also told me about pregnancy aqua aerobics but it's not hill 8.45 at night - sad as it sounds there is no way I'll ever be able to stay awake that late!!! I'm a pre work gym / swimmer!!

Skipingtonsmooth · 24/10/2016 14:18

Hi everyone, I'm new to Mumsnet! Currently 7+4 weeks pregnant with DC2. So far second pregnancy is very different to first! With DS I had hyperemesis and was taking anti-emetics from 6 weeks... this time all I've had is a bit of nausea in the afternoon. Anyone else had very different pregnancies? It has me a bit worried!
