That sounds nasty first timer! How long have you had the sensitive eyes, hopefully it clears before you see the midwife on Thursday!
I'm with you all on the relaxed birth plan, i just want a happy and healthy baby to take home and am happy blank out the labour from my memory if need be! I'd like to go to the birthing centre (midwife led) and have a water birth (next to the main labour ward), with as much gas and air as they'll give me. I've heard it's amazing! I need to stay 'low risk' for this at my hospital, so fingers crossed I do!
However, if this doesn't happen for whatever reason I'll take the advice of the medical team around me. I'm unsure about epidural (heard a story yesterday from my husband about an epidural which went wrong), but I suppose if I can't take the pain then I'll go down that route.
I met with our birthing options team a couple of months ago as my midwife had noted I had anxiety about the birth and have had a tour of the hospital and good chat which helped loads. I've got a meeting with them again in a couple of weeks to prepare a birthing plan....
Oh for my stats - the key one EDD 30/12/16. I will try and compile a list of us all at the weekend.
I can't believe there are so many of us in 'team yellow'. Everyone seems shocked that we haven't found out (I did take a lot of will power and I'm still tempted to find out!!)
