sparkles I had zero morning sickness or any other symptoms really. But we are having a girl! Also her heartbeats not super fast either (another wives tale). My 20 week scan is next Wednesday-14th I think.

I got the cutest teddy bear yesterday at our gender scan. Plays our little princesses heartbeat. Think I will have ran the battery out myself by the time she arrives lol x

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 04/09/2016 21:51

I have a dream genii and despite giving it a good go, I just find it too hard and uncomfortable between my knees to be able to sleep. I've just been using a small foam cushion pad between my knees and hugging my pillow vertically, soooo comfy! A lot more flexible too when turning over unlike the DG which ends up on the floor every night...

jpclarke · 04/09/2016 21:56

This thread really moves fast, I went back to work last week after 3 months off and I have been up to my eyes. Kids not too happy about me being gone, my 21 month old has decided to start waking 5-6 times a night to comfort feed and I am just exhausted. But with this pregnancy I had a scan last week and everything looks great. Definitely have a baby bump now too, and finally told work last week too. I need to try and catch up on this thread now and find out what has been going on with everyone.

Evergreen17 · 04/09/2016 22:29

Anyone having some mildish stabbing pains that come and go very low down?
Almost like contractions but mild? Just started today Sad
Not too strong
17 weeks tomorrow

GinIsIn · 04/09/2016 22:44

Evergreen - have had stretching pains, sharp pains, bending over pains, random twinges... think they are all normal pretty much. I wouldn't worry!

FriendlyGhost · 04/09/2016 22:56

I have a dream genii. I need to start using it because it's the only thing that stops me sleeping on my back.
I've also been having stabby pains low down if I get up or move too quickly. I remember them from last time so completely normal I think.
I'm so impatient to find out the sex now. My scan's on the 23rd which feels like ages away. At least I have a midwife appointment this week finally after postponing it last week. I'm looking forward to hearing the heart beat!

Ginger06 · 04/09/2016 23:30

Hi everyone, few weeks absent and it's thread 7 wowww we are doing well here.
Tomorrow is my 20 weeks scan I'm counting the hours to find out if baby is ok and what I'm having, it's my first pregnancy so getting very worried wish me luck

Bisquick · 05/09/2016 00:22

I've been having those too Evergreen but think they're just growing pains as others have mentioned. And yes, I definitely feel them more when I get up after having been sitting for a while etc.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and good luck to all going in for their 20 week scans! Still have 4 weeks to go for mine, but feeling a bit more cheerful after yesterday's moping about the 16 w appointment.

Evergreen17 · 05/09/2016 07:08

Thanks Fenella! They have gone away so as long as they come and go I wont worry too much then.

Wouldn't it be great if there was more info available for us? Midwife gave lots on booking and then nada.

Friendly mine is on the 30th. Counting the days

MATB1 form anyone? According to my midwife they cant give it before 25weeks. So they will give it to me on the 3rd of November appointment.
But I have to give it to work before the end of the qualifying week which I think is the week before then.
Why cant they give it sooner? Will I miss on maternity leave and pay because of this?

Bisquick I think from now on I wont expect much from appointments so I dont end up crying like on the 16th week one.

twocatsandatoddler · 05/09/2016 07:23

evergreen I'm not sure about that either. Last time I moved hospitals after my 20 week scan so I saw my community midwife at around 21-22 weeks and I asked for it then, so they definitely can issue it before 25 weeks!

This time my next appointment to see her is 28 weeks as its my second pregnancy, which is later than work need my MATB1. I'll have to ask work whether they can take my word for my due date until 28 weeks, otherwise I'll have to call the community midwives and ask to pick it up from the GP's surgery before 25 weeks.

divadee · 05/09/2016 07:57

Morning lovely ladies.

Uugghhhhhh is all I can say this morning. I'm tired and feeling rough and it's back to work after 8 weeks off. As I spent the first 6 weeks being sick all the time it doesn't feel like I had a summer.

20 week scan next Monday. So excited for that.

twocatsandatoddler · 05/09/2016 08:13

Exciting that all the 20 week scans are coming up! Mine was supposed to be next week but I'm on holiday so it's on the 20th - only just over two weeks to wait so I'm sure it'll fly by, but it would have been nice to tell family in Holland the sex while we're visiting them.

Dreamingoutloud7 · 05/09/2016 08:38

Morning ladies.
Feel rubbish this morning, had the worst nights sleep and bad dreams. Seems like we're all feeling it this week!
Gender scan next week and I can't wait, I keep changing my mind over what I think it is...

evergreen I've had those on and off for a few weeks I think, definitely putting them down to stretching as a few days later my bump has a little growth spurt!
My mw said matb1 forms can be given after 20 weeks, no earlier. But definitely before qualifying week otherwise what's the point?

Readyfortwo · 05/09/2016 08:53

evergreen our MatB1's can be issued at the 20wk scan so might be worth asking there. Otherwise your mw or GP can both do it at any point after that. You should also push back on your work though, the requirement is to inform them before the qualifying week (which doesn't necessarily mean you have to supply the matb1 then) so just make sure you've sent them an email confirming your pg/due date in writing & explaining that your matb1 will be issued at 25wks.

Mysterycat23 · 05/09/2016 08:54

I was told mabt1 form can only be given after 20 week scan. Maybe they give it later just due to paperwork being passed between hospital and midwife? Evergreen if that's standard in your area, your work will have experienced this before and can be told nicely to just wait a few weeks?! Pretty sure they can't refuse any of your maternity rights just because hospital/midwife causes delay....

Ginger good luck today!

Twocats scan date buddies! It seemed ages away and suddenly is really soon. Eek! They changed due date to 2 Feb at 12 week scan, do they change it again at 20 weeks?

FriendlyGhost · 05/09/2016 08:58

I'm sure I had my Matb1 form in plenty of time last time. I would tell them you need it before 25 weeks Evergreen and see what they suggest. I'm at the same hospital so I'll ask on Thursday and see what they say to me.
I just came on to ask if anyone else still feels completely exhausted the whole time. Sounds like some of you are though! I know I'm up during the night feeding dd but I was exhausted last time too. I'm veggie so I wondered if it was my iron levels but apparently not. Last time I was less tired after having dd and being up most of the night feeding than I was pregnant and it looks like this time is going to be the same. So much for the second trimester energy levels!

toBurpOrNotTo · 05/09/2016 09:20

Good luck with the scans ladies!
I'm booked to have mine in October, so it's still a long wait for me.

Dreaming the dreams and nightmares are plaguing me as well. Mine seem to be like a never ending low budget Hollywood movie, filled with suspense, action and what not. I blame the hormones and not Netflix binging Wink

What are you ladies snacking on, in between meals or even otherwise ? I'm still quite nauseated at times, and the one thing that seems to help is apples with some salt sprinkled on them. But don't know how long that will work for me.

twocatsandatoddler · 05/09/2016 09:42

mystery we're not just scan date buddies, we're due date buddies too! They won't change due date again after the 12 week scan - I think the most accurate time to date pregnancy is something like 11-14 weeks, as there's not much variation in size at that stage, but in the latter half of pregnancy babies can vary so much in size (which makes sense given how different birth weights can be) so they can't use size as a predictor anymore.

Friendly yes I'm exhausted! I've been more tired in the last few weeks than in the whole first trimester. This time last time I felt great. I think it's having a toddler and never getting enough sleep, but if it continues for another couple of weeks I'll call my GP and ask for an earlier blood test so they can check for anaemia. It's been slightly better the last few days actually so I'm hoping it's going to continue to improve.

Shellbell0403 · 05/09/2016 10:22

friendly yes I'm exhausted! Not sleeping properly through the night! What I would do for a good night sleep lol!

ever we get the mat1 at the 24 week mw app.. I'm sure it's fine though.. when do u need to notify your work? My 20 week scan is the 29th this time! Your my due date buddy 😙

17 weeks today! Going to my gender scan tonight... so nervous!!!

SkyLucy · 05/09/2016 11:33

I'm exhausted too dreaming - hardly any sleep last night due to awful dreams, worries, multiple loo trips and weird twinges! I think we might have to move bedrooms - we sleep on the top floor but the loo (and baby room!) are on the first floor. My head is saying 'move to the spare room' but my heart loves our little loft nest!

Interesting to see the Matb1 form info - my MW said I'd get mine at my 24-week appointment, which is a day before I have to notify work. Just checked our policy though, and I can give HR a leaving date and supply the Matb1 form within 14 days. Just got to decide when to go...!

Shellbell0403 · 05/09/2016 12:33

Got pains in my stomach today 😑

longingforsun · 05/09/2016 13:21

Is anyone else not feeling any movement from the baby, I'm 19.3 and not felt anything yet, my husband says I'm lucky as I've had no symptoms throughout, my bump is plane to see but that's it, I forget most of the time that I'm pregnant. Last time I had all the symptoms and movement from around 16 weeks

longingforsun · 05/09/2016 14:16

Whoops *plain Blush

divadee · 05/09/2016 14:22

Well I had my risk assessment this morning. And they have put me on shorter hours and office based. Driving me mad!! I'm kind of a doer and fixer at work so being curtailed it hard. Nice that I have more time off (and still getting full time wages) but I'm also a stubborn bitch and don't like to feel I'm letting my staff down and feel like people are telling me what to do.

Although when I was standing this morning my cervix did not feel good.

ChozzleopsTheThird · 05/09/2016 14:52

I've had my MatB1 for weeks and I'm only just 16 weeks. Strange the different rules in different areas.

Unless I'm wrong in thinking that the card is the MatB1?
