Nice shopping SBS!

FriendlyGhost · 18/09/2016 17:55

Love all the toys Sparkles
I would definitely recommend the NCT sales. I got quite a few brand new things when I went to one near us like packets of vests. Also depending on the area you can get some good brands. I got some stuff from Boden, Monsoon and the little white company for dd for an absolute bargain price.
I'm so impressed about the potty training. Dd is 21 months and is nowhere near ready. She does tell us most of the time if she's going to do a poo or has done one but she's certainly not reliable. I'm going to wait for next spring/summer so I can put her in the garden while she's learning!

Ladies, are any of you getting really bad pains in your ovary area? I've been getting them for a few days thinking about calling midwife if they persist but don't want to bother them X

Evergreen17 · 18/09/2016 19:19

Kellz I do get some pains down there but hoping it is all the stretching and moving.

Piano you know me so well! After looking at them we've decided to get a Bugaboo Bee! We are going to wait to see if we can get a deal at the expo even in a few weeks. In the end there are a few features that make it more friendly for people who don't own cars vis-a-vis the i-candy which tipped it for us.

I went to the expo website today to check the dates and I saw a banner for the new i-candy mi-chair. I almost wet myself its so good looking. Our kitchen / family room area is fairly midcentury modern so it would fit it so well in that part of the house. No idea how much it costs though.

Had a glorious day-- DH and I went to pop Brixton and ate amazing Japanese dumplings and then went to cinema in Dulwich to see Hell or High Water which we loved. Since 6pm though we've been hitting the baby chores hard as we'll be busy pretty much every weekend from now until the end of October. I also realised Nubie has failed to deliver 3 items which is really poor form. I love their stuff but they clearly have some issues in fulfilling orders correctly!

Does anyone here know how to hang a mobile?

divadee · 18/09/2016 21:20

I have got my consultant appointment tomorrow morning. I'm hoping he signs me off for a home birth and also will give me my last cervical length scan at 24 weeks so that I can hopefully relax.

LondonGirl83 · 18/09/2016 23:50

Good luck divadee

Shellbell0403 · 19/09/2016 02:52

Having some rage issues just now... DH snoring and it's woken me up TWICE!! Now took myself to the couch with a duvet before I get done for murder!!

twocatsandatoddler · 19/09/2016 07:31

London I just googled the mi-chair and it's gorgeous! It would look perfect in our new extension (that we're planning to build next year) as our house is 1930s but we've mainly got mid-century furniture.

On the subject of high chairs, I'd like to put in a shout for the IKEA antilop. Cheap as chips, but so practical! It's genuinely the best one we've used, and it was under £20 for chair, tray and inflatable insert to keep smaller babies nice and snug. Not that there's any point buying high chairs before the baby arrives, as they won't use them for about 6 months.

Mysterycat23 · 19/09/2016 08:44

Evergreen I have that exact poncho in my Ravelry faves Grin was debating whether to try it! After so many positive comments definitely will now. Scan tomorrow - hope baby is in sensible position to find out if I can start on a bright pink poncho or not?! I'm not gender biased, just have a skein of gorgeous bright pink fluffy yarn in stash Blush Good luck to everyone having scans today.

LondonGirl83 · 19/09/2016 08:48

Twocats as beautiful as it is, I didn't see a price for it so I'm assuming its $$$. We'll see when they finally launch it how much it costs but I like that you can keep using it as a kids chair etc after the high chair phase is over.

Mysterycat23 · 19/09/2016 08:51

Good luck today divadee
Shell we have been sleeping separately since about 8 weeks in, combination of my nausea/sickness at random times and him snoring.. I do miss snuggle time but there is no point us both exhausted before baby even arrives!

LondonGirl83 · 19/09/2016 09:11

Good luck mystery and anyone else having scans today.

Shellbell0403 · 19/09/2016 09:36

Good luck with the scans today ladies xx

GinIsIn · 19/09/2016 09:36

Good luck with the scans!! Had a complete stranger grab the bump in the coffee shop this morning - eurrrghhhh! Angry

FriendlyGhost · 19/09/2016 09:39

We also have that highchair twocat. It's brilliant. It's also useful that a lot of restaurants have the same one so dd will sit in one when we're out. That Mi-chair looks beautiful. Annoyingly dd can climb out of styles like that so I have to stick to styles that cage her.
Good luck for the scans today. I'm on the countdown to mine now!

twocatsandatoddler · 19/09/2016 10:05

friendly I love it. I don't know why restaurants would have anything else, as it's cheap, stackable and easy to clean. And DS hasn't quite figured out how to get out yet. If I ever open a café (always been a secret ambition!) I'm going to get a load of Antilops.

Evergreen17 · 19/09/2016 10:19

Twocats what is the high chair for?
Oh my I know nothing
Mystery we should get all future projects here for votes Grin
Ahhh scan tomorrow!
I am so jealous
We are going to see a nursery today, the nerves!

Fenella what?! A stranger touched it? I only want DH to touch it to be honest but he is freaked out by the alien inside.
Thanks for the tip on the IKEA chair. On my list now. Smile

twocatsandatoddler · 19/09/2016 10:33

Evergreen it's for the baby to sit in when you start weaning them. I wouldn't worry about it for now as it'll just take up space until the baby is 4-6 months. We bought ours when DS was about 5 months old I think. It is brilliant though.

My scan is tomorrow too! Didn't find out the sex last time but will this time. I'm excited!

kikisdelivery · 19/09/2016 10:34

Good luck with your scans today ladies! Friday for me.... last thing too, which is really annoying. This week's going to drag.

I had such an anxiety dream yesterday about it - same as 12 week scan build up. I keep internally fretting about something bad being found - like others have said I keep thinking this'll be the appointment where they tell me I'm a big fraud and it's all gone wrong! Step. Away. From. Google. Kiki....

Evergreen17 · 19/09/2016 10:57

Ahhhh
Good luck with scans today!!!
I cant wait for mine!!! Still 11 days to go Sad

LondonGirl83 · 19/09/2016 11:21

Twocats how long do babies tend to use high chairs for before they switch to booster seats at the table.

I worked at a nursery as a summer job when I was still in school but that was entirely with toddlers (2+) and none of them used high chairs (though we did have kiddy sized tables and chairs for them to eat at. I'm just wondering how long highchairs last for.
