Gorgeous jumper Evergreen
Ragdoll I used the close caboo for dd when she was small. It's a lovely stretchy wrap which has the advantage that you don't have to tie it. When she was about 4 months we moved onto an ergo baby 360. It's great for baby hip positioning and has several carrying positions. DH and I still use it for dd at 21 months. It's also designed so that the weight of the baby is carried on your hips so it will take the weight off your back. I think it's similar to a manduka and a Tula. It's worth going to a sling library with your baby to work out what suits you as different slings suit different people and different builds. Some have weighted dolls so you can try before your baby is here.
Congratulations on the scans ladies. Mine is a week today!

SBSparkles · 16/09/2016 17:56

Awwww evergreen that jumper is gorgeous!!! Did you make it?

Readyfortwo · 16/09/2016 18:40

Hi ladies,

Glad to hear scans are going well.

Just wanted to reassure those with bad backs, I too suffer terribly with my back (and have done since a car accident 15yrs ago). Was really worried last pg that I was going to suffer, hence I was so careful with pram choice & making sure I got a drop-side cot etc. I continued to see my chiropractor throughout my last pg & actually found that the relaxin that's released to help your body expand made my back feel better than normal, rather than worse. I do recommend seeing a chiropractor or equivalent as soon as you're recovered from birth tho as my hips/back were put out of alignment by the pg & if left untreated that would have caused no end of problems!

It was me with the map London, carpet gets fitted next Friday & then I will attempt to put it up! Fingers crossed it looks as good as the pics.

Is anyone else struggling massively with being extra clumsy?! I've broken 3 glasses this evening, fallen over twice and stubbed my toe on the wall. I could cry with irritation right now!! Sad Angry

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/09/2016 19:43

fenella my pregnancy book.mentions that you might lose your natural grace and elegance. Husband guffawed at that bit. It's true though!

GinIsIn · 16/09/2016 20:38

notta but I didn't have any to start with!! Sad Confused

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/09/2016 22:11

You're screwed then. Like me. Smile

Naschkatze · 16/09/2016 23:40

Congratulations on healthy scans and reveals!

Still 3 weeks until mine but I'm holding out (was convinced I'd book another private one in between.)
Pretty sure I'm feeling movements now; it's become clearer over the last week. I think I've felt the odd mini kick like an elastic band being pinged! It's very strange!

No clue about prams/pushchairs/buggies. If anyone would like to enlighten me on the meaning of those terms that would be a start?! Blush DH has been 'researching' (he does this extensively for any purchase) and thinks the oyster max is affordable and meets our requirements. Does anyone have any opinion on them?! I'll do my research on mumsnet as I'm certain you're all far more knowledgeable than google!

Evergreen17 · 17/09/2016 08:57

Sorry late for the sling talk
I got a bubba wrap second hand on ebay. I like that it goes over both shoulders as I have a bad back and it will keep baby and me warm in winter Smile
Kikis I got in the bike the other day and it was hurting too down on lower bump area
Marjory congrats on the girl news Smile
London I love knitting, it is my hobby. Makes me happy Smile
I started a second jumper, really fluffy one and more yarn ordered!
Mystery show those projects Grin
This one I am making now is so easy!!
Shell I feel like kicking or something moving but not everyday and only like one movement but it might not be the bubba at all! Maybe they could be described as jolts too
Yes I am finding out hopefully on the 30th of September.
I already told my family that I hate pink and I wont be having pink for a girl Grin
Scottish congrats on boy
Yes Sparkles I made it Smile it is so small it didnt take too long

ever love that jumper and the gat is super cute, I'm a big fan of knitted clothing. Can't knit myself but know a lovely lady who has told me if I buy the wool she will happily knit for me!

I've got my scan on Monday at 3.30, day will go fast anyway with the other little ones haha. I'm gonna post a picture on here for you all to have a guess as we aren't finding out but I'm already curious lol.

I'm gutted, last night I was woken twice with awful cramping in my right leg. Only started around 30 weeks last time so I'm not impressed at all! Anyone else had the dreaded cramps?!

divadee · 17/09/2016 12:09

Oh dear. Just scared my other half something chronic.

We were really laughing at something and suddenly I got the worst cramp like/stitch pain on both sides under my bump. I have never had pain like it (besides labour!). So my laughing turns into crying and yelping! He's panicked wondering what the hell has happened and I'm there still trying not to laugh but crying in pain at the same time.

A quick google reassured us both its all normal but scared the life out of him!!!

Evergreen17 · 17/09/2016 12:20

Mystery that is tooooooo cute!
Fluffy one super easy. I am waiting for more yarn to arrive then will post pics as I advance a bit. Free pattern too Grin

Evergreen17 · 17/09/2016 12:22

Keeping up scan so soon!!! Smile exciting
Nice to have someone to knit for you!
Diva I think my other half mostly ignores my aches nowSad

LunaPatuna · 17/09/2016 14:02

Hi everyone - have just joined and my hazy morning brain struggled to keep up with this thread! Will tackle the previous ones later.

I'll be 20 weeks as of tomorrow and 20 week scan on Monday, my first pregnancy and it's been surreal so far, still can't believe what's happening in there! Pretty overwhelmed & bewildered by the whole thing, have been avoiding messy spare room & buying anything so far.

Bump has just started to appear and will be sending my 1st pair of ASOS over bump jeans back, band burst after 2nd wear!

SBSparkles · 17/09/2016 14:18

Welcome. Luna Smile I'm so impressed with all you knitters! I can barley night a square (I could make a patchwork blanket!!?) and am so jealous! My mother in law is knitting me a cot blanket and might move onto more complicated things afterwards.
I bought a ticket on the hormone express today it seems. I feel like I want to burst into tears but not sure why. Also got a headache and feeling down and fed up!! I slightly cheered myself up by buying teeny tiny boys clothes!!! Am also feeling really dizzy and lightheaded!? I had to go into wethers on my own and eat a fry up. Oh the glamour!! Grin

SBSparkles · 17/09/2016 14:19

Those socks are just too tiny and too cute!!!!

Hi Luna, I think we're due date buddies Smile 5th Feb!

The knitting is looking amazing! I can't knit to save my life and so will see if I can find a lovely handmade stall near me to pick up a few.

LunaPatuna · 17/09/2016 15:26

Hi ScottishSnowFlake! Ahh nice, when I told my boss I found out his wife is expecting at roughly the same time too! Hope you've been well :)

ScottishSnowflake · 17/09/2016 16:01

I've been good thanks Luna, how're you feeling? We had our scan yesterday and it was lovely to see the little one again

FriendlyGhost · 17/09/2016 16:38

Welcome LunaSmile
I'm so impressive by all this knitting. My mum went knitting crazy for dd and is knitting again for this one already. I love homemade jumpers.
I made my first baby purchase yesterday-a new changing bag. I decided the one I've got won't be big enough. Cant wait for it to arrive now!

divadee · 17/09/2016 16:56

evergreen can I ask where you got that pattern from for the fluffy jacket? My mum has said her friend will knit me one as I love it!!

Ragdollmum1985 · 17/09/2016 17:15

Love the knitted jumpers! My brothers girlfriend is brilliant at knitting and already started on some things for the baby.

Sparkles looking at all that cute baby stuff just got me really excited Grin

Friendly what changing bag did you go for?

FriendlyGhost · 17/09/2016 18:03

I got this one Ragdoll www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/skiphop-forma-backpack-changing-bag-d4184.html
I already have a pacapod which is great but I find that the pods take over the whole bag and I will need more room for extra clothes etc with two. I tend to just use one of my pods in a normal rucksack at the moment so I'm hoping this will be a better solution.

Wonderlust123 · 17/09/2016 18:40

Confusion strikes again! Sleepsuit / pramsuit / bodysuit / babygrow (am I missing any?!)

What is the difference? My plan is to get gender neutral things to start (no outfits). What things clothing wise are actually needed? (And are half of these more or less the same thing?!)
