Morning ladies. Welcome mrs and any other new people I may have missed!

diva have you looked in Mamas & Papas? I got a gliding crib in a lovely oak from there, they might have similar in a cot bed perhaps.

I felt a couple of somersault type moves from baby last night! It's always such a shock as I haven't felt much in the way of flutters just recently but then suddenly get this big movements out of nowhere Grin I can still remember the first time I felt one of these with my first baby, I was sat on my chair in my classroom teaching and I nearly fell off my chair, it felt like an electric shock Shock

Bump @ 19 weeks.

Feeling lots of movement now. I'm up a lot during the night needing to pee-I'm assuming baby is pressing on my bladder. Feeling like a whale, sore hips and yesterday when I was walking I had a pain right on my pubic bone. All this and apparently baby is only the size of a mango at the minute! Confused

CinderellaFant · 11/09/2016 10:29

Oops forgot bump

Hi Mrs and other new arrivals.

We had our wedding barbecue yesterday (6 months since we had small family wedding) and had a good time but boy it was tiring being on feet all day making small talk!

Anyway, I'm upset with my family, my aunt and cousins. I asked my mum a few weeks ago to tell my aunt in person about me being pregnant as I wasn't keen to tell her myself (lots of personal stuff going on, cousin infertility etc.) and I thought she'd appreciate it rather than a text, we're not that close so don't chat on the phone, and obviously she would tell my cousins as always happens with family news, engagements, etc. Anyway aunt couldn't come to party but all cousins did, and my mum, and NONE of them acknowledged me being pregnant the whole day! I felt like I couldn't say anything as they knew I knew that they knew (iykwim) and it was weird if I made an announcement. Everyone else knew (because of word of mouth, as I assume is normal) and was asking me about it around them but none of them said a thing, not even my mum. She said they're annoyed I didn't tell them in person. I haven't seen them for months, they never call or text me and just act like the victims and make me work for any normal communication when we do. Now my aunt wants to call me "for a chat" urgh! It was a lovely day but they just took the shine off it for me and make me feel bad about being pregnant. Should I feel bad? I don't know what to say to her, apologise for being pregnant? I don't think so! Families!!

Those of you looking for cheap baby items. I got my cossatto travel system off a website called online4baby. Its hit and miss, some stuff being extremely cheap and others a little more expensive then some places. The delivery service was amazing and no problems at all. Definitely worth a look, we saved around 200 pounds on the pram x

GinIsIn · 11/09/2016 15:01

Oooh good tip keeping - we want the cosatto too. Did you go for the giggle?

SBSparkles · 11/09/2016 16:00

Piano that's crazy of them to ignore you! I told everyone on Facebook except grandparents! I even called my brother ( he lives in London) I think they are massively overeacting!
Evergreen and London I thought my moods were fine but now I'm back working it's made me feel tired and emotional!! Went for a little walk today and I just feel shit. Really tired, crap and exhausted. Fe hot as well like the wY I do before period starts. I think hormones must be raging a bit. I'm worried I'm too tired from teaching - I do test every night and haven't worked at all this weekend!! Lying in bed now with curtains draw and a tub of pick n mix sweets ( I'm such a child) Smile

Who was on about the cosato giggle? We've got that one - it's ace!! Going to assume it soon x

SBSparkles · 11/09/2016 16:02

Assemble not assume. Ah ignore my other typos please. My phone is trying to ruin my life.

GinIsIn · 11/09/2016 16:03

Sparkles - that's the one we are planning on! Which print did you go for?

SBSparkles · 11/09/2016 16:32

I think it's called toodle pip! I saw a woman with it in town yesterday and it looked so smart. I like that it's so light and has three wheels so it's really easy to move around. Got it half price at Mothercare....

SBSparkles · 11/09/2016 16:35

Divadee we're getting the next to me crib - the one you clip onto your bed so it's like co sleeping but not in same bed. You can put the sides up and have it as a little cot as well.

Shellbell0403 · 11/09/2016 16:46

sparkles we are getting the snuzpod and then changing to a cot

divadee · 11/09/2016 17:20

Well we bought a travel system today from mamas and papas. No cot bed yet all too expensive the oak colour ones. The travel system was the zoom and for the pushchair, carrycot and car seat was £299. Happy with that price as I know I will want a lightweight fold up umbrella pushchair at about 6-8 months.

Now searching for an oak cot bed at sub £300 incl mattress. Gahhhh

LondonGirl83 · 11/09/2016 17:30

Piano I haven't told anyone until I've seen them face to face. I'm not announcing on Facebook. I think if you haven't called me or seen me in months, how can you be cross that I haven't told you? Perhaps, I'm a bit harsh though but DH has taken the same approach. Either way, there reaction, at an event you are hosting was beyond unreasonable. Not to congratulate you and essentially give your pregnancy the cold shoulder is churlish! I can see why you don't see these people much.

I am thinking of the snuzpod 2 as well. Will switch to a cot. I am a bit behind in all my shopping though I did stay up late last night picking out practical storage / changing stuff for the nursery which makes me feel like something was done. Also, I did the painting in the nursery!!

Shellbell0403 · 11/09/2016 17:36

diva defo try babies r us. They have gorgeous cotbeds in and also oak ones. All very reasonable! I seen a lovely sleigh one but changed my mind...

People who have bought prams... ur not keeping them in the house are you? I know it's an old wives tale/superstition about not keeping them in the house...lol. I will be storing mine at my mums until required haha

divadee · 11/09/2016 17:48

Thanks shell will have a look on there now.

Although I haven't bought anything until today and now going a bit nuts!!! Just bought the perfect prep machine and tommee tippee bottle starter kit on Amazon deal of the day!!! If you spend over £60 on baby stuff and use code BABYGC16 you get £15 off as well.

GinIsIn · 11/09/2016 17:49

Sparkles I have fallen in love with the pixel print but am worried it's maybe a bit OTT.

We are planning on going for a snuzpod too.

SBSparkles · 11/09/2016 18:36

Any tips on best reusable nappy??

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 11/09/2016 18:54

fenella yes the giggle 2. We went for the firebird one. I think we paid around 279 pounds and it comes with the carseat! It comes with everything, the carrycot, seat unit, caeseat, change bag, raincover etc. Everything is in the firebird except the carseat which is plain black. The carseat is actually a joie but is compatible with the giggle 2 . we have a joie myrus though already that the carseat is also compatible with so it was actually a selling point for us as I can use that if I'm out with my mum as the giggle won't fit in her boot. Its definitely worth a look!

divadee · 11/09/2016 19:00

shell if you are buying that (I did earlier) and use code BABYGC16 spend £60 and get £15 off.

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 11/09/2016 19:03

We nearly went for pixel! Fell in love with firebird though and as we aren't finding out liked how unisex but not plain it is. Pixel also unisex though!

I can say to that it is fab. I've been using it now and then with my youngest and its amazing, best pram I've ever had.

divadee try the online4baby website I swear I don't work for them I'm sure they have oak cot beds and you can add a mattress

My parents are getting us the cot and we're getting the co sleeper one. I've coslept with the others and loved it but my youngest has a habit of sneaking in our bed so I'll feel safer knowing baby is in the cot but still cosleeping. We have put the kids in a toddler bed as soon as they can walk (eldest was 11 months, youngest 9) .By the time baby is ready for the toddler bed we already have our eldest will go in the top bunk bed and youngest in the bottom so its not worth us getting a new big cot

SpinALittleFaster · 11/09/2016 19:51

We have now ordered the second seat for our travel system. Apparently Uppababy are doing a massive price rise in the next few days and it'll be going up 25%, so we decided just to order it. Won't pick it up until January as there's nowhere for it to go at the moment.

I'm going to get a next to me crib. We had a rental bednest last time and I loved having the co sleeper with the ability to tilt. It felt really flimsy though so going with the chico this time.

GinIsIn · 11/09/2016 20:14

Is anyone else finding bending over/forward increasingly uncomfortable? I know some us had a moan about pain a thread or so back, but eurrrghhhh.

GinIsIn · 11/09/2016 20:16

Half way through the sodding house move so there is a LOT of pending over to pick stuff up. It's making me very moany! Grin
