Hi Notta. Hope you're over the shock now?

FriendlyGhost · 08/09/2016 19:51

Welcome Nottalotta Smile
This is my bump at 18 weeks. I think I'm brewing a monster!

LondonGirl83 · 08/09/2016 20:22

Welcome Nottalotta! When did you find out?

Nice bump Friendly

Naschkatze · 08/09/2016 20:37

Ok, a bit jealous of these bumps! I'm consoling myself by saying I'm a few weeks behind you all... (16 tomorrow). I'm just very conscious of looking a bit chubby at the moment! Although, DH did say today that I'm starting to "look pregnant" with the implication that I just looked fat beforeHmm Grin

Piano I've also realised that I constantly suck in stomach when standing. I've been trying to consciously relax so as not to squash baby!

London Do you know if it's safe to do regular Pilates at the moment? I've only been once before (usually a body balance person) but seem to remember it being a lot of core/abs work. There are no pregnancy specialist classes at my gym and reluctant to pay extra.

Welcome Notta.

Evergreen17 · 08/09/2016 21:18

Friendly! My bubba was 156 Smile Twins again Smile
Thanks for the info. I spoke to HR and they said that they are happy for me to give it to them after that 25th week app so I will do that.
I am going to be so so so anxious before the 20th week scan. I thought that after the 12 week scan I wouldnt worry anymore but hey who was I kidding?
I think my bump is a bit obvious now. It happened yesterday I swear. I had nada before. And I havent told my team yet. 17+3
Gumboots my iron is spot on and I have an iron fish. Google it. When you buy one you give one to a family im Cambodia Smile
Keepingup lovely bump. I have gained a bit too much already. 5kilos Sad

Evergreen17 · 08/09/2016 21:19

Oh! And I have cried today after work and yesterday got upset at work as well.
Just so emotional and sad at times and worried and paranoid and more tears

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2016 21:32

Ooh thanks for the welcomes all! I've known a few weeks, saw mw 28th July and she was adamant I was less than 12 weeks. I had only just started af again a couple of months before, and very irregular. I thought her dates were off though, as I know the rare occasions when we had dtd and I was pretty sure I wouldn't be having morning sickness 5 days after dtd! Although I didn't know it was ms at the time. So it was not a surprise to me to be further along, and I am happy with the pregnancy. I wanted a sibling for ds, and am getting on so it's all good for it to happen now.

My bump.is enormous! But I was a bit fat to start, and obvs it's a second pregnancy with not much time since the first!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 08/09/2016 21:32

How was the yoga london? I went to pregnancy Pilates last week, it felt OK, more appropriate for the bigger ladies but there were variations for the less pregnant ones. Is it part of your gym membership or private out of interest? Natsch maybe you could look for a video online and see if you can do it at home?

Those asking about MatB1 forms, I had meeting with HR today and she didn't seem too wedded to the 25 wk date, I double checked and she said they just need it as soon as possible to get payroll set up. Maybe that can take up to 2 months and they want to cover for early births. Anyway some firms may be different but it seemed to make sense to me. I should think 28 would be fine?

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2016 21:35

I told work yesterday and stopped disguising it today, my bump seems bigger already! Wore a maternity dress, which I thinks makes me look.more preggers.

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2016 21:40

The bump.

LondonGirl83 · 08/09/2016 21:46

Naschkatze I think you should ask the instructor and see what they say. There are certain things I think you aren't meant to do but pilates classes vary so much you might not do them in your class. In my pregnancy pilates class we still do core work. The main difference is we also do kegels and lots of squats (which apparently are also really good for your pelvic floor). Your instructor might be able to just modify one or two things for you in a normal class.

Piano yoga was great. I did yoga 1-2 times a week before pregnancy and I have to say the class I took was very similar to normal. Quite strong poses and moves, many of which I'd done before so I really felt like I was doing something. My area is a real nappy valley (Dulwich) so the pregnancy classes are part of my normal gym membership thankfully. I'm pretty sure the other local gyms are the same.

Evergreen17 · 08/09/2016 21:46

I will take a pic of mine in the morning. Nice pics here SmileSmileSmile

LondonGirl83 · 08/09/2016 21:48

Nottalotta nice bump! Not sure how you were disguising that!

I'm still hiding mine though I'm pretty sure everyone in my office knows now. I'll officially come out of hiding after the twenty week scan though my bump may out me before then.

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 08/09/2016 21:57

We just moved away from Dulwich area london it's the perfect place to be a mummy I'm sure! Although we're now in St. Albans and there seems as though there's a queue of pregnant badged ladies waiting for priority seats on the trains, there must be something in the water Wink

My pregnancy pilates class last week was £11 for 45 mins Confused, not sure I can justify that so would be good to know if the gym can accommodate you natsch

GinIsIn · 08/09/2016 22:02

We are moving out of London this weekend. I'm excited about it but I am going to miss the big smoke too! Bump pic... (18 weeks)

GinIsIn · 08/09/2016 22:02

Disclaimer: that was taken right after lunch so I look much bigger there!

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2016 22:05

Thanks London I've been fortunate in that a lot of people have been on leave, and I've also had 2.5 weeks off. I've been wearing things which have some sort of cover - a dress with a tie front, ruffly blouse etc. I think people don't really pay attention though. And like I said I was already a bit fat.

Such a relief to be in comfort now people know.

I tried to do pirates last pregnancy, but I live in a rural area, few pilates classes as it is and none that catered for pregnancy!

CeeCeeEnnEss · 08/09/2016 22:09

Here's mine at 18 + 3 in the morning. I feel fat!

Sunshineface123 · 08/09/2016 22:17

Great pics!! Love a bump shot! Here's mine at 17 weeks Smile

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/09/2016 22:24

ever 5 kilo is not bad at allz isn't that like 10lbs? I think that's about right at this stage. I've so far gained 6lb and I've been being really careful. I have one treat day a week but the other 6 days I'm on a limited (yet sensible) calorie intake. By this stage (19weeks tomorrow) with my second I'd gained around 24lb I think. I know by the end if my pregnancy I gained a total of 58lbs! I did lose it all and more after but it took me about 16 months and I just don't want to get to that size again.

Loving all the bumps ladies, so nice to see them growing! My bump is pretty big but its my third and I've not left very big gaps between any if them x

Blueskies80 · 08/09/2016 23:05

Wow loads of bumps! Mine has well and truly popped in the past week or so. Gone from being able to hide it to not a hope unless I have a scarf artfully draped. Have told colleagues at work now (boss has known for a while), also am into maternity clothes which seem to accentuate it.

20 weeks tomorrow woohoo! I might start taking a weekly photo of the bump now I'm half way. Haven't wanted to really do that due to the miscarriages last year but feeling so much more positive now.

Scan not for another two weeks, they do the 20 week scan at 22/23 at my hospital. Bit apprehensive about it but hopefully all will be fine.

Sleeping ok but wake most nights at 3/4 for the loo and then sometimes can't get back to sleep for an hour. Haven't had to get the pregnancy pillow out yet but not much longer I don't think. Holding off as we often get one of the children coming into our bed and the pillows take up so much room!

Someone asked about a shooting pain down buttock and leg, this is sciatica and I had it in last pregnancy (big baby) and it reappears often at the moment, I need to pick up my Pilates again to strengthen my core, but my teacher recently moved so have to find a new place.

Anyway better go! dc2 starts school nursery tomorrow, a big day!!

Naschkatze · 09/09/2016 06:33

Thanks London I will ask them. Hopefully it will be okay to do as I feel I need to get back into something!
The local antenatal yoga class was £75 for 8 classes and I wasn't sure I wanted to pay it.
I'll let you know Piano. I've been to other classes while pregnant (Zumba, Pump) and the instructors have been good at letting me know what I shouldn't do.

Happy Friday everyone!

Readyfortwo · 09/09/2016 06:46

I did non pregnancy Pilates at the gym right up to about 36 wks last pg nasch so I'm sure it'll be fine. They should just tell you how to adapt the exercises to suit.

kikisdelivery · 09/09/2016 08:41

Morning ladies! I am loving all the pics, and welcome to the new folks Smile

Does anyone else's bump seem to change shape/size throughout the day? I swear I wake up some mornings hardly looking pregnant at all, but then later in the day I end up looking bigger and more pronounced.

18 weeks + 1 today for me. 20 week scan is in exactly 2 weeks today and I am already building the apprehension. I've no reason to, but what with the bump not feeling that big, feeling no movement and a drop off of any particular symptoms i can't help but get the nerves Confused It seems to drag to each appointment!!

Shellbell0403 · 09/09/2016 08:52

Kiki I'm the same!! My bump seems tiny when I wake up and then increases slightly during the day! I get nerves before every appointment too!
