Mysterycat - so going to try that! Will do an M&Smission tomorrow....

CeeCeeEnnEss · 08/09/2016 12:28

If I relax my stomach I have a bump and it looks quite round. However, I can suck it in to almost nothing.

I'm getting a weird shooting pain down my left bum cheek from my hip - what's that about?

Shellbell0403 · 08/09/2016 12:36

Tesco have a baby and toddler event on 😊

FriendlyGhost · 08/09/2016 12:50

Midwife appointment today and I heard the heartbeat. 160bpmSmile
Evergreen the policy is to give the MatB forms out after 20 weeks. This is usually at the 25 week appointment but I was told I can have it any time after 20 weeks because I don't get an appointment until 28 weeks now.
My appointment was delayed for almost an hour because they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat for the lady before. Luckily all was ok in the end but it sounds like a pretty stressful time for all. That sort of thing absolutely terrifies me.

Workinzzz · 08/09/2016 13:22

Hello all, I went on summer hols around thread 2 or 3 so just catching up again.

Had my second scan today at 19+1 and saw baby's face Grin

Heartbeat was 157bpm and was amazing to hear, its so exciting now!!

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 08/09/2016 13:55

I realise I've been sucking my stomach in for the last 4 months (20 years...) so lots of people are commenting on how small I am. Even DH til I relaxed it and he was surprised! I think his face suggested that I've been living a lie since we met! (Oops)

And for those not feeling much, babies are apparently sleeping 90-95% of the time and have REM phases like we do so they probably don't move much anyway during those times. I've been drinking way more fizzy drinks than usual and usually notice a wriggle when I'm walking enthusiastically. Am 20 wks on Tuesday though and that's only been last couple of weeks.

SBSparkles · 08/09/2016 14:07

This is my bump at 19+5 - what do you think? Is it too small? I definitely had no stomach muscles before so not that?!

SBSparkles · 08/09/2016 14:07

Kellz92 · 08/09/2016 14:46

Hope youre all well

Shellbell0403 · 08/09/2016 14:50

Quick question... is anyone bruising easier? I seem to be coming out in bruises 🙈

PianoOnlyTheWhiteKeys · 08/09/2016 14:51

SB good bump! I wouldn't worry. The Ovia app says the baby is the size of a gameboy/hedgehog/courgette this week (19) so if you think they can fit in the bump then I don't think there's any reason to worry. I wonder if having wider hips, in my case, means there's more room inside rather than popping out so much?

Great news workin can't wait for our proper face photo!

GinIsIn · 08/09/2016 14:53

Shell god yes - me too with the bruises! It's the extra blood flow.

SBSparkles · 08/09/2016 14:58

Piano my husband said that to me just today!! I do have wide hips so it might be sitting in there! Smile

LondonGirl83 · 08/09/2016 15:20

SB that looks like a good size bump.

I also have a small bump. Some women don't show at all until after 20 weeks so I'm not too worried.

Have you been gaining weight okay?

SBSparkles · 08/09/2016 15:24

London not sure I've not weighed myself? Midwife didn't weigh me either?

gumbootsandjandals · 08/09/2016 15:24

CeeCee hip and bum pain could be sciatica or pelvic girdle pain.

Phonecall from the surgery today to tell me I'm (still) anaemic. No treatment advised but need repeat bloods in 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend any non-constipating supplements? I'm already taking Spatone. I can't get enough iron by diet alone.

CeeCeeEnnEss · 08/09/2016 15:32

Thanks gumboots, all of this is so new and confusing. Parts of me ache which have never ached before!

SBS your bump is the same as mine :)

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/09/2016 15:54

fenella you can wear control underwear when pregnant as long as its not to tight. I've double checked this both online and with my midwife. I often use one of the control suits that's like a swimming costume. Next and asda definitely do them as I have one from both. I wear bodycon style dresses a lot and just felt more comfortable in the control suits at first as they just smooth everything. I wore the size up so it wasn't holding anything in, just smoothing. I think it would work for you with the dress you described x

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/09/2016 16:00

Hubby felt baby move for the first time last night, getting regular movements now which is lovely. I was only just feeling baby flutter at this point with my first but am getting definite kicks! I'm 18+6 today. My bump is very obvious now but I love it now I look pregnant and not podgy. I lost a lot of weight before this baby so have been a bit self concious. I have been trying to keep weight off in a healthy way, have so far gained 6lb which I'm OK with at this stage. This was my bump the other day...about a week between the pics. Stripy dress about a week and a half ago, other a few days ago

GinIsIn · 08/09/2016 16:24

Thanks keeping!! That's actually a load off my mind!

Shellbell0403 · 08/09/2016 16:53

So... I have just eaten three milky bars... one after the other 🙈 how bad is that!!

Wish I was feeling movement... soon I'm sure

gumbootsandjandals · 08/09/2016 18:14

Shellbell I made strawberry and cream cheese muffins today. I ate two. I cut one up for DS who fed most of it to me. Gave one to DD after school but she decided she didn't like it (despite asking me to make strawberry cake last week) so I had to finish it.

LondonGirl83 · 08/09/2016 18:20

Since we are sharing bump photos 😌

17 weeks tomorrow!

I ate 3 poptarts yesterday- they are my first real craving. Childhood memories of the US come flooding back to me!

Of to try pregnancy yoga for the first time. Curious how different to normal yoga it will be. Pregnancy Pilates is very different!

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2016 19:38

Can I be a late joiner? Slightly unexpected second pregnancy. Ds is 13 months. Had the first scan this week, 19 weeks!!! Due 2nd of Feb, ish.
