Hiya!

Ok we need suggestions for date and location. Perhaps a weekend would work best for us all, since some of us won't be on leave with weekdays free till May, and by then some of us will be lolling in just-given-birth bliss with new baby...

Location: somewhere near Waterloo station? Or how about Richmond Green?

Just ideas...

cool, didn't think we'd heard from her in quite a while! I was thinking that anyone who doesn't have to rush anywhere, we can go over the bridge to Gordons by embankment which is lovely and has and outdoor bit! I love that place . It'll be too busy at 1 though and I don't think you can reserve.

cinnamontam · 24/04/2007 12:32

I've just emailed her - hope everything is ok. Will let you know if i hear back

cinnamontam · 24/04/2007 12:33

Anything outdoors sounds great. Do they have shade for Ella in case it's very sunny?

Juicylucytoo · 24/04/2007 12:35

OK, so far we are 9:

Juicylucytoo
Twelveyeargap
Aprilmeadow + Ella
Befnalbub
Juliewoolie
Jellybellybump
Scootermum
Cinnamontam
ShowofHands (??)

Notsolilkel??

I'll go ahead and book a table for 1pm on Monday 30th May in my name (Molly) and see you all (and anyone who fancies it) there!

Waterloo kitchen+bar

Juicylucytoo · 24/04/2007 12:37

whoops took so long to type, missed all the posts! Shall I book??

ShowOfHands · 24/04/2007 12:39

I might have to bring DH. He can beggar off and wander round the shops but he's off work and I can't navigate the city on my own. I'll end up in Spitalfields, crying and shaking. I'll never get back to Norfolk and Mathilda will be sold into London slavery. How do I get there? I thought Waterloo was a battle.

ShowOfHands · 24/04/2007 12:40

I've got a clam card or whatever it's called.

BefnalBub · 24/04/2007 12:48

SOH do you come in to liverpool st station? there is a number 26 bus that goes straight to waterloo and stops there so you can't miss the stop!

Gordons does have umbrellas, but as I said don't think we'll be able to reserve anything but we could try ;)

Juicylucytoo · 24/04/2007 12:50

This SHOULD work:

waterloo kitchen

From Liverpool st westbound with central line to Tottenham Court Road. Then Northern Line southbound straight to Waterloo. Look for the Waterloo Road exit.

ShowOfHands · 24/04/2007 12:50

The tube? The tube? What if I die? Or get stuck in the doors? Or fall down an escalator?

Hot, dirty, nasty, haunted tube.

madeindevon · 24/04/2007 12:55

poo. i wish i could come to this but still working. strangly.....right next to liverpool st tube!
do let me know if you have another one!

BefnalBub · 24/04/2007 13:26

I'd love to do one this side of town since I live one stop from liverpool st tube! Spitalfields have that lovely felafel shop....

Juicylucytoo · 24/04/2007 13:58

SOH - Bus sounds like a much better plan. No stairs and a bit of sight-seeing while you're at it!

We'll arrange an East End meet soon. Assuming we can fit one in before we give birth

cinnamontam · 24/04/2007 14:33

Borough Markets is supposed to be lovely as well

I really don't mind where we go. I have alllllll day to get there on the bus if I can't be assed with the tube

BefnalBub · 24/04/2007 14:46

where is everyone coming from on that day- if you let me know I can try and find an outside venue thats suitable to all?

twelveyeargap · 24/04/2007 16:13

Me. Coming from North London - will travel. Am halfway between a Picadilly and Northern Line station so can get to anywhere really.

scootermum · 24/04/2007 21:27

Im coming still!Have boked childminder-it will be my first day out in London sans DD for, well since she was born, not counting lunch hours etc..Im coming from Ware, into Liverpool st station..dont mind where we meet though as am coming in early to go shopping 'up west' first..SOH can meet you at Liverpool st if you like-if you arent happy re getting the tube solo?

cinnamontam · 26/04/2007 09:12

What does everyone think? Should we stick with the same place? It's certainly easy to get to and the food was pretty good.

cinnamontam · 26/04/2007 09:13

Forget Borough markets - they are only open Thurs, Fri and Sat

Juicylucytoo · 26/04/2007 09:39

I don't mind. I'm coming from East London too, but Waterloo is pretty easy to get to for me.
Don't mind if we stick with the Waterloo Bar, unless someone can think of somewhere outside that's easy to organise.
It's supposed to be 23 deg C on Monday.

scootermum · 26/04/2007 19:17

Does anyone have the st address for the Waterloo gaff-I am bound to get lost..

23 degrees?-god alone knows what garb I will ensemble then..none of my maternity clothes are suitable for warm weather...

aprilmeadow · 26/04/2007 19:35
