Hiya!

Ok we need suggestions for date and location. Perhaps a weekend would work best for us all, since some of us won't be on leave with weekdays free till May, and by then some of us will be lolling in just-given-birth bliss with new baby...

Location: somewhere near Waterloo station? Or how about Richmond Green?

Just ideas...

Can't upload any photos, they're all too big and I don't have any software to change the size, so I shall have to remain anonymous until my bump gives me away tomorrow

See you all at 12pm!

BefnalBub · 16/02/2007 20:18

I know what you look like!!! By the way, when I uploaded my huge photo it auto downsized it for me....

scootermum · 16/02/2007 21:01

SOH-DH has now booked to go to North Yorks-but as soon as im on mat leave I would love to come for a day to see you-have car, will travel..

The table for tomorrow is under 'Tam'isnt it?Though I dont suppose there will be many tables full of pg women in there!

See you all at High noon..

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 16/02/2007 21:53

Ooh Scoot, come and see me! I'll show you the veritable delights of North Norfolk. We have fields and trees. And twice a year the sun comes out and I take my librarian's cardie off.

In all seriousness, when your mat. leave starts I would be happy to waddle round with you for the day. I know some nice teashops with even nicer cakes.

scootermum · 17/02/2007 13:09

Hi all,

Just a huge apology for not making it today.Dh called about 10 minutes after id got on the train to say he'd put his back out lifting dd up and couldnt move, so had to get off and come back.He is currently lying down on the floor and whinging.
So much for my big day out.Trying not to be annoyed with the man, but am so dissapointed that am failing badly with the not showing it..

Hope you all had a lovley time and count me in for next time..

lots of love
scoot

SOH-19th April..Have a look in you diary..Where do you live, as in nearest town so can look it up on AA and see how long it will take to get there..

ShowOfHandsWithStubbleRash · 17/02/2007 13:25

Scoot, poor DH and what a shame for you.

Not doing anything 19th April (well am at work really but have two weeks of holiday left so can book the day off. In fact was thinking of taking the two weeks after Easter off anyway). I live outside of Norwich (Thorpe St Andrew) but we don't have to meet in Norwich if you prefer somewhere else. Just yell if there's somewhere you fancy.

Hope DH makes a speedy recovery!

scootermum · 17/02/2007 13:34

Ruddy man-he will doubtless be off work and unable to lift a finger for weeks.

Will have a look on AA in a bit and see where wil be best.19th is my last day though so it would be more like 20th or the week after...

BefnalBub · 17/02/2007 17:35

Sorry you couldn't make it Scoot & TYG. It was lovely to meet you all - sorry I had to dash after only an hour - was really jealous as that food looked yummy! How did the rest of it go? AM, you are a very patient mummy! JL let me know if you fancy doing a mini meet up in Befnal.

lets do another one soon!

aprilmeadow · 17/02/2007 18:38

BB - The patience ran out soon after you left!!

Scoot & TYG sorry you couldnt make it today.

JL, BB, NSLK, JBB & CT - was great to meet you all. Would love to do another one, minus child!

Got 12 KK from the station! J was asleep by the time i had finished choosing and slept most of the way back.

notsolilKel · 17/02/2007 19:28

Just to say it was loads of fun (and delicious too, yum...) meeting up with you all today! So worth the effort! Scoot sorry to hear your emergency news. Puts a spanner in the works tho, as we were planning to tell you off - and TYG sorry you couldn't make it either.

AM thx again for the P&T demo - should have you on film instead of those wanky useless women! And your DS was a total gem, considering! My DS is a nightmare if he misses his nap!!

Let's defo plan another -- if it works for anyone else, I'm free from 23 April till, well, hopefully 25 May...

aprilmeadow · 17/02/2007 21:41

Maybe i should charge when i do my demos! It took me 5 mins to show what that woman takes 5 days to do!

Juicylucytoo · 18/02/2007 17:07

Was lovely to meet you all girls. Sorry you couldn't make it SOH / TYG. Here are my planned days off in April / May, so maybe we can arrange a meet one of these mid-week days:

April 23rd or 30th
May 4th, 8th, 9th, 14th or 18th

Obviously if there's a better date when more people can do it I'll try to swap one of my days off.

Befnalbub - yeah, let's do a mini-meet in the East End sometime soon.

JellyBellyBump · 18/02/2007 19:28

Evening all,

Finally managed to kick DH off the laptop.

It was great to meet up yesterday. SOH & TYG shame you couldn't make it, hopefully we'll all meet up next time.

AM thanks for the demo. I'm working hard on talking DH into buying a P&T.

My ML will hopefully start just after easter so any dates after that would be good for a mid week meet up.

Off now to the May 07 thread to read up on the last 2 days...

scootermum · 18/02/2007 19:53

What were you going to tell me off for?!

Im off after 19th April so would love to come if there is a second meet up-though would prob have to bring DD.She's never been into central London so that would be an experience!

aprilmeadow · 18/02/2007 20:39

I still have 6 KK's left!!! They are just so yummy [dribble emotion]

I finish work on the 13th April (day before my birthday) when i will be 37wks 1 day.

scootermum · 18/02/2007 20:42

There were KKS at the meetup?!!
(Scoot throws herself on the floor and has a tantrum)

ShowOfHands · 18/02/2007 20:44

Oi one of those KKs is mine.

notsolilKel · 18/02/2007 22:12

Let's see, I'm flexible after 23 April - shall we say Monday the 30th?? I think we should bring KKs to the next meetup. It will be like one of those feeding frenzies they show on Attenborough specials, where the giant schooling ball of tiny fish is eaten up by highly overexcited sharks, or something......

SOH maybe we can lure you down from Norfolk if we lay a KK trail heading south for you

OP posts:
scootermum · 19/02/2007 08:31

Monday 30th works for me..

Was also wondering if anyone fancied doing that mile for Maude thing on May 12th, (assuming not giving birth of course-might bring the labour on if anyone is over due by then!)
Perhaps we could do it on Hampstead heath?

I think im going to do it, and dont mind doing it on my own, but would rather do it with some other people who know what im actually doing..Also if its nice we could have a little picnic afterwards?Or during-lets face it if I have to walk a mile that near to term I will need some sustenance on the way..

cinnamontam · 19/02/2007 09:37

Hi guys,

Took me a while to find this thread again. Having some issues with my brain!

Was lovely to meet you all and your lovely bumps - looking forward to doing it again. I start my maternity leave on April 30th so the timing is perfect for me.

Scoot - I'll be in the walk on the May 12th with you. Any exercise at that time will be welcome I'm sure.

AM - Jack was lovely and did extremely well on Sat. You should be proud. Glad you got the KK's, I completely forgot about them and would have walked straight past while looking for the right platform so I could get home. Have to go through Waterloo station tonight on route to a friends birthday dinner so will definitely get a couple

BefnalBub · 19/02/2007 13:56

oooh - not sure when my last day is, but if its lunch could come and find you on the 30th. Definitely up for the heath walk too! or would that be waddle...

JL - my email is [email protected] if you want to IM me re BG meet (don't really check the email on it that often but will if you don't use IM)

ShowOfHands · 19/02/2007 14:26

I might just come down to meet you all- KK trail not needed, gingerbread trail absolutely necessary.

I am all for doing the Mile for Maude too. Don't think there'll be one in Norfolk as there are only 7 people in total living here and 5 of them are tractors.

Cinnamon did I post on here saying I like the Cat Empire and Robert Jordan too? I may have forgotten to, I can't remember what day it is atm. Failing miserably at being a librarian too, ordered the same book three times in the last week.

[eejit]

cinnamontam · 19/02/2007 14:33

SOH - how did you hear about Cat Empire? I've lost count of the number of times I've seen them live. They are playing in London soon and all the tickets sold out!! So pissed off. Might just go and hang around outside and see if I can get 1 anyway.

notsolilKel · 19/02/2007 15:51

LOL at tractors SOH...

OK so whereabouts should we meet on 30th for lunch? Same place nr Waterloo??

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 19/02/2007 16:46

at containerloads of gingerbread. Ooh can you imagine. It's like confectionary porn in my head atm.

Saw the Cat Empire at a folk festival Cinnamon and absolutely bloomin' loved them (oddly the only other good friend I have who likes them lives up the road from you and is a Management Consultant. He's not pregnant though.)
