Hiya!

Ok we need suggestions for date and location. Perhaps a weekend would work best for us all, since some of us won't be on leave with weekdays free till May, and by then some of us will be lolling in just-given-birth bliss with new baby...

Location: somewhere near Waterloo station? Or how about Richmond Green?

Just ideas...

PIL coming on Sat.

I'm going to find out what time they plan to arrive and if I can come in and meet you lot, even for an hour and then come home and see them, then I will. This was arranged first.

I could be home by 2ish, so not the end of the world if PIL arrive at lunchtime.

Will update later in the week.

scootermum · 12/02/2007 11:29

Im still coming!Im making a day of it as well and gonna do a bit of shopping and meet some mates in the evening for a drink as well.A whole day in London sans dd and dh-not had one of those for ages!

Juicylucytoo · 12/02/2007 11:40

JellyBellyBump · 12/02/2007 12:42

Yep, still in.

Work has been mad for the last couple of weeks so I haven't had any time to read any posts but I promise I'll read up on all of them so that I'm fully up to date by saturday.

cinnamontam · 12/02/2007 13:24

Excellent...maybe to make it a bit easier for everyone we can do a quick summary so none of us have to trawl back through threads before Sat.

Scootermum-2nd dd due on 24th May, dd 1 will be 17 months by then.Orginally from Derbyshire, moved to North London 5 yrs ago then Hertfordshire in Nov 05.Intending to take one months leave before the baby arrives and then 9 months after.(Will have to go back to work but dont wanna!)
Am hoping all dd 1s newborn stuff is safe in the attic and not covered in Mildew or something-so have not bought much for new baby and hoping not to need to really, though missing all the exciting shopping this time round..(but have still got 3 sleepsuits so far..)

scootermum · 12/02/2007 17:47

Poor dh forgot to mention him, married 2.5 years also, met at school but I was going out with someone else then so didnt get together till uni..

twelveyeargap · 12/02/2007 17:53

TYG - Having 2nd girl. Due May 19th. Married to DH almost three years, known him er, 5, or is it 6 years?

Planning home birth with lovely midwife, inflatable pool and DH for support.

Finishing work on March 30th, taking full year's maternity leave. No intention, as yet, to actaully return!

JellyBellyBump · 13/02/2007 09:32

JellyBellyBump - named after favourite sweets, which is probably why my midwife notes say active baby

1st bean (boy), due 27th May, I'm Dutch, moved to (SW) London nearly 10 years ago, married DH in April last year, been together for 9.5 yrs

Finishing work mid April just after Bank Holiday weekend. 33 days left in the office !!!

Not sure about the birth thing as DH tends to nearly faint everytime he steps into a hospital. (he's not very good with blood either)

Jessvh · 13/02/2007 10:16

Hi Guys, Im new to the forum, Im due 28th May with my first, and have just relocated to Ealing from Huddersfield. Is there anyone in the west London area?

cinnamontam · 13/02/2007 10:29

Hi Jessvh - I'm in Putney so definitely your side of the world. Can you come this Sat?

BefnalBub · 13/02/2007 10:42

I'm coming along too!!! - just back from Berlin - love flying with bump - was given 'priority' seating

Hmm, some history...Originally born in Nepal, of german mother/english father, I've lived in quite a few places but have happily settled in Bethnal Green, which I love (hence befnalbub). I'm 32, DP is 35. Been together 13 yrs - since Manchester Uni, where we met.

First (very active) bean.

Due May 26th, finishing work probaby mid-may and will take 7 months off - planning to go back in January 08. Just bought myself a loola travel system off ebay but thats it so far...apart from already visiting the local nursery

Jessvh · 13/02/2007 11:23

Hi Cinamonton, thanks for the invite - I am actually visiting my sister who had her first baby 5 weeks ago - it will be the first time I meet them, and Im sure I will get all the gory details . I would love to try again another time though..... bit of background to me, Im 28, been with my boyfriend for 8 years, and am planning to finish work end april, and probably take about 7 - 9 months off. Am finding pregnancy a weird and wonderful world, and feeling grossly underprepared!

Minipop · 14/02/2007 16:02

Right sorry to have to inform you all of this, but that Waterloo Hovel you're all going to has been hit by a very freak and localised typhoon. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

However, the good news is that you can all come up to Norfolk instead. And that's much better isn't it? No nasty London and the teashop's lovely and quaint.

Again, apologies for the disaster that hit your little den of iniquity, you'll be well taken care of here. I'm expecting you all by lunchtime.

Scooter- are you really thinking of coming up to Norfolk? Shout out if you do, mini-meetup def. in order. Where you thinking of going?
