I cant see mine...and its getting to a stage where its that long I'd be embarrased to go and get it waxed.. plus since becoming pregnant it is sooo much more painful to have it waxed!!

Maveta - if you are still here.. is it easy to get from Mallorca to Menorca? Mum and I are thinking of taking a break in Sept with the little one.. was just wonderinghow close it was and wheat the links were like, if its ok we could arrange a wee meet up!!

maveta · 02/02/2007 11:04

Emmymummy - Yeah well I have to crane a fair bit but it didn´t require as much contortion as I thought it would.

Having said that, it´s probably a good thing I can´t get a good angle on my handiwork - here I am all proud and probably looks like I hacked away at it with a blunt machete!

maveta · 02/02/2007 11:08

Hey GMM - what a fabulous idea! Menorca is about 3 hours away on the ferry I think but probably only 40 mins by plane and not very expensive for us I don´t think as we get 30% discount on travel between the islands as residents. I´ve never been and dh and I want to have a break around then, were thinking of Ibiza where my boss has a flat. Could work out really well... keep in touch re. your plans. How exciting!

Emmymummy · 02/02/2007 11:11

Oh am all now. I want to go to Menorca too!

geordiemacminx · 02/02/2007 11:14

It just shows how naive I am... I thought half an hour on a little boat or something!!!

Will keep in touch, we are hoping to get a wee villa or something, by then the little man should be old enough to travel, and hopefully it wont be too hot... I also faniced malta for its spa hotels, but since mammy will probabaly be paying she gets the final say so I think it will be menorca!!

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2007 11:22

Me too, Emmy!

Ouch to having that "thingy" (sorry, couldn't think of anotherword .... ) burned off - Yes, definitely get some chocolate sweetheart!

Emmymummy · 02/02/2007 11:32

When do you go on your hols CD?

Emmymummy · 02/02/2007 11:41

Grrrrr at dh - he's just phoned to say he's playing rugby tomorrow. Great - as I say we're having wardrobes built at the moment, so upstairs is a bombsite and we'll need to get everything back in its right place and all the clothes put into the new wardrobes this weekend. Hey, but it's OK, just sod off and leave it to me and Emily.....

nuttygirl · 02/02/2007 11:45

Pants....got breast pump but no instructions (advert said instructions included) so will have to email seller to see if they still have them.

v of all you people planning holidays.

1becomes3 · 02/02/2007 11:47

Bollocks just checked the E3 and it is only for a baby and a toddler or 2 toddlers!

There is just not a tandem out there that is suitable for 2 new born.

Looks like i will have to settle for a side by side one with the buggy pod, and just hope that all the doorways I need to go through are big enough.

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2007 11:48

Hopefully going to Bonny Scotland for a week beginning of March. DH poss booking place tickets this morning - How exciting! 1st holiday we've EVER had since having the sproglets!!! What about you hon? Grrrr! and to your DH sodding off and leaving you - Grrrr!

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2007 11:51

I mentioned that about the P&T yesterday 1B3 - really sorry honey - Can't anyone on any of the twins type threads help you out? I know the P&T Twin pram is fab; but not really what you are looking for. I am also having a bit of a quandry about prams as I'll have 3 under 3.5 and DD1 doesn't walk ANYWHERE and sleeps in the pram in the afternoon still ..... Thinking the Buggy Pod on the P&T might be the way forward for me .....

geordiemacminx · 02/02/2007 11:51

nutty girl - check the manufacters website... you can usually down load instructions from there... I did this for an old television that I was giving to my granddad..

CD.. Whereabouts in scotland are you visting?

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2007 11:57

Going to stay on shores of Loch Lomand, 40 mins outside Glasgow - not a clue what it is called -

nuttygirl · 02/02/2007 12:01

GMM - what a great idea, I've now found some (although strangely only on the american site not the uk site!). Thanks .

Bramshott · 02/02/2007 12:02

1b3 - how about a tandem where one seat is suitable from 3 months, and then use a sling for one of the DTs for the first 3 months? Or all they all from 6 months only. Does seem mad that there isn't the perfect buggy for you out there somewhere.

Arggh, running out of time now, back later on!

xxxxx

geordiemacminx · 02/02/2007 12:04

Ooh its lovely up there, dp and I usually go up about once every couple of months.. there is an outlet village type place with some nice places to eat, and aquarium and park type activities for the kids... its only about 1/2 and hour away from WO and I!!

You'll have a lovely time!!

1becomes3 · 02/02/2007 12:07

It does seem as though all the front seats are suitable from 6 months.

I could stick DD in the front and have one DT in a sling but how hard is it going to be to push a buggy while carrying one in a sling and having DD out with her reins on pulling me all over the place, all after a c-section?!?

Mind you I don't think I will leave the house for the first 6 months.

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2007 12:11

1B3 - LOL! Bless you honey - there will be a solution - we'll all keep racking our brains for you - You'll not be the 1st parent of 3 under 2. [hugs]

Perhaps we should meet up while we're there Geordie?? Oooooh, it does sound lovely - never been to Scotland before!!

twinkle183 · 02/02/2007 12:14

hi 1becomes3 my friend has just had twins and also has had dd who is about 2yrs old!! She got one of those twin two tandemn pushchairs from jane with matrix car seats and stuck a buggy board on the back and we go out all the time.. but unfortunately it came at a price!!! I hope that this helps!!!

Have got a terrible pain across my belly this morning - it feels like bruising but am not sure.. any one got any advice???

Other than that we are fine and a dandy this end, finally got over my ear infection/flu/chest infection has only taken me a month!!!

Can't wait for the next few weeks to past

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 02/02/2007 13:07

Hiya loves.

Everyone sounds on fine form today - it must be the sunshine!

Emmy, hope your shoulder is ok - sounds nasty. Keep on taking the chocolate "medicine"!! Also grr to your dh. My dh is the same - organising days out/weekends away with his mates. It drives me mad, as sometimes he doesn't tell me what he has arranged and I find out through looking at his emails! He really doesn't seem to be taking any interest in the fact that I am pregnant this time around, and the fact I am exhausted, working 3 days a week blah blah! Sorry, went in to rant mode, but he is really pissing me off at the moment.

Maveta, absolutely amazed that you can reach your lady garden. I am finding any movement of any sort difficult, so hats off to you!

GMM - pmsl at the vision of you this morning!

I hate maternity clothes too, particularly trousers. I am finding the over the bump ones squish my tummy and give me heartburn, yet the under the bump ones just fall down. Useless and obviously designed by men!
I have been wearing underwired bras all the way though and did with dd. Are we not supposed to? Oops!

Hello to everyone else. At work, and am actually busy today, so better get on!

1b3 - cannot believe you cannot get what you want buggy wise. Madness. I will do some digging as I like digging (I know, I need to get out more!) and see what I can find, if anything.

CD - Loch Lomond is lovely. We lived in Milngavie, just North of Glasgow, for 3 years, and spent many a weekend there.

Emmymummy · 02/02/2007 13:39

SOL in underwired bra shocker!!! The general advice seems to be don't wear u/w bras but stick to soft shapeless tit-slings that make your boobs look crap. Obviously a rule devised by some nasty hag who wants us to look as hideous as possible when pregnant.

geordiemacminx · 02/02/2007 13:41

I have a couple of non wired ones to wear round the house but certainly wouldnt go out in them... would frighten small children, and be the laughing stock!!

Emmymummy · 02/02/2007 13:48

LOL GMM. I must be some sort of sucker as when I went to get measured up for a bra when I could no longer squeeze into any of my normal ones, I got positively told off by the measuring woman for even suggesting anything with underwires. I daren't wear anything that clings tightly to my boobs as they look so shit in my maternity bras.

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 02/02/2007 14:01

pmsl at this boob sling talk! Oh I am such a rebel! Do we know why we aren't supposed to wear underwired bras? Was that a rule dreamt up by a man? Mind you, they would probably suggest peek a boo bras with tassles on and crotchless knickers!
