New thread because the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts mark.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yeah Mossy, you could could try lying down at work under a fan with just your knickers on You never know they might just let you start your mat leave early !!!

I like most haunted except it's stupid as they always say "What was that? Did you hear that" and you think "no you stupid fart, I didn't hear anything as usual 'cos you never stop talking "

Booboobedoo · 31/01/2007 08:41

Morning!

Happy birthday for yesterday Kiwi - hope you had a lovely, relaxing day.

Kitty, sazzy, Amie: sending 'grow' vibes to your bumps. Foxy: sending 'move' vibes to your placenta. (Weird being in 'communicaiton' with someone elses placenta ). Callie: sending 'love' vibes to your Jordi. Any news?

Everyone else: gets general 'have a good day vibes'. Am feeling hippy after last night's antenatal classes. They really are very good: they're helping me to feel much more positive about the birth.

Last leg of the tax return today. It's a complicated one this year.

On a good note though, I've got my maternity cover sorted - hooray! Last teaching day next Monday: can't wait.

Going to have a fantastic R&R day at my Mum's tomorrow. Soooo tired.

EDD 3/3
35+3
Boy

Leoladyofleisure · 31/01/2007 08:59

Muppet, that is really wonderful news for your friend! Wonderful that she is pregnant, it doesn't matter how!

Moss - I am now 34+1. EDD is 12th March but they won't let me go that far because the babies share a placenta there is too much risk of it failing. I still have a very unsettled belly and last night had some period pain type contractions again and a wierd unfamiliar uncomfortable feeling down below, I have a feeling that it's not going to be long now before the babies arrive. I just want to get as far as seeing my consultant on Tuesday to discuss the birth though so taking it really easy.

I got my chocolate yesterday , we drove to SILs to have dinner and pick up DS, stopped at a petrol station on the way home. I finished a bar of toblerone in bed this morning for breakfast !

Sazzy, the anxiety doesn't go away after the babies are born, it is maybe not quite so constant as when you are pregnant though.

sazzybee · 31/01/2007 09:03

It's sunny - hooray! Even though I am in the office, sunshine is lovely.

booboobedoo - so glad you've managed to find someone to do your maternity cover. Must be a huge relief.

Thank you for the bump growing wishes but I don't think it needs them! My bump is now measuring 40 weeks Still - it has only grown 2 cm in the last week rather than 4 the week before so I hope it's slowing down ...

We had a fire drill yesterday and my boss was so horrified by the amount of time it took me to get down 6 flights of stairs and up the ramp to the assembly area, he's told me to work from home.

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 09:10

Sazzybee, what a great idea, perhaps I could set off the fire alarm in our building! Maybe then they'd reduce my hours even more!

(Chance'd be a fine thing!)

It's either that or Kitty's idea of sitting in my undies and nowt else in front of a fan...

Leo, toblerone just makes me think of Alan Partridge!! "And I don't mean a small toblerone. I mean a medium one."

Booboo congrats on getting your maternity cover sorted, it must be a weight off your mind!

My nausea has been making a bit of a comeback the last few days, but at least I've not actually been sick so far... keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way!!

bethoo · 31/01/2007 09:13

sexykitty/AmieR - you both have got this far, i am sure it is just a minor glitch as babies grow differently. keep smiling. and you are being looked after and monitored.

MOst Haunted - i bet it would not be quite as effective if they switched the lights on!

Rosylily · 31/01/2007 09:19

Booboo, brilliant news you got cover sorted, no wonder you sound chirpy, you can relax for a bit soon!

I too had spotted the bad, bad woman thread I didn't even recognise Harry at first! It was so funny though.

Leo, gosh you are probably going to have your babies soon are you ready? How exciting!

Where is spongecake? Have a slight niggle in my mind since you said your braxton hicks were hurting? How are you???

How cheering to hear about the couple with fertility problems conceiving on their own, it really is magical how 'life' can conquer all!

Eids lol at you stripping to your knickers to get cool!

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 09:33

Morning all

LOL at the sideways on 3 shape

Am eating a crunchie bar BTW.

I wish someone else's DH would cuddle me, as mine is really getting on my bluddy nerves!!

Have told him he's useless. He's deaf and will neither wear his hearing aid, nor register disabled - so people try and have a conversation with him and them assume he's thick, as he gives them daft answers after mis-hearing what they've just said. DD gets so frustrated at him not hearing her that she ends up in tears when trying to tell him things.

I just gave him a bollcking down the phone in front of my work colleagues but am in such a mood I don't even care

1973magpie · 31/01/2007 09:34

Morning All,

Callie - good luck for jordi's x-rays, when will you get the results? Hope all is well, you have already had enough to cope with so far.

Mossy - that's great news for your friend, it's funny how often that happens, when people go for IVF or decide to stop trying, then they get pg

Muppet - good luck with the acupuncture. Have you tried sitting backwards on a dining chair, leaning on the back of it? I have been told never to lounge back on the sofa too, as DD1 was posterior, and that's supposed to encourage the baby to lie in that position. Also, have you googled optimal foetal positioning, as apparently there is lots of info out there on how to get baby to move into the 'correct' position for birth?

Dolly - hope your chat with the consultant re the cs went well.

Eids - I like the sound of it being hot enough to lie in front of a fan after a shower - it's freezing here this morning

Kiwi - Happy belated birthday for Monday

Foxy - sending you more placents moving vibes.

Boo - glad to hear that you can relax now you have sorted your maternity cover out.

Leo - nearly there! Good luck with keeping the wrigglers in until Tuesday

Sazzy - excellent news about the home working.

Bethoo - Hi, hope all is well with you?

Sorry if I've missed anyone out, it's so hard to keep up with all your news when I'm only on here occasionally at the moment

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 09:36

Mossy - can't you start a "naked David Tennant" thread?

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 09:42

Naked David Tennant.... Mmmmmm....

Only problem is that the naked Daniel Radcliffe thread started with some photos of Daniel Radcliffe (almost) naked. (He's trying to shake his Harry Potter image by starring in a raunchy play and they were the publicity shots).

Afaik, there aren't any similar photos of DT.

Are there?

Rosylily · 31/01/2007 10:04

Moss, much as I love DT I saw a naked chest piccy of him in a trashy mag and he looks much better with clothes on unfortunately! He looked a bit concave and weedy. But his face and personality are still sexy (trying to soften the blow)

sexkittyinwaiting · 31/01/2007 10:18

DT is weedy, not manly imo, not like my tv boyfriends

Foxy, why won't your dh wear his hearing aid? Is it a pride issue? How did he react when you told him off?

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 10:31

Kitty / Rosy, my dh used to be concave and weedy, when I first met him he was dead skinny, the epitomy of geeky!

Actually, talking about Harry Potter, imagine Ron Weasley with glasses and you get the idea!

He's a bit chunkier now though, mind you he's still too proud to wear a size 34" waist and squeezes into his 32"!!

sazzybee · 31/01/2007 10:32

Does anyone else feel a bit wrong perving over Harry Potter or am I very badly repressed?

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 10:41

I think the idea is that he is trying to shake off his clean cut image by starring in a play with a very adult theme, and the publicity shots for the play are such that they are trying to emphasis his burgeoning (sp?) sexuality.

So they're quite raunchy, but it's a bit uncomfortable, because when you look really closely at them, you can tell he is still only quite young.

So your initial reaction is "phwoar" and then you think, "oh hang on a minute, he's just a kid!"

Give him a couple of years though, and the twelve year age gap won't matter as much

sazzybee · 31/01/2007 10:58

I'm a bit older than that though. I feel guilty

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 11:02

Here is the thread from yesterday I think everyone felt a bit guilty when someone said "he's the same age as my son!" or something!!!!!

Rosylily · 31/01/2007 11:13

Is he 17? That is 2 years older than my eldest and I can say that I don't fancy Daniel he's just a pip squeak though I can appreciate he's a handsome young chap. Do I sound like a grannymush at all?

I usually find people who are odd in some way appealing. Before I met dh my couple of exes were no oil paintings much to Dh's disgust as he was proud of his good looks but I was oblivious, I was more interested in his good cooking Anyway now he is a 36" waist and proud of it!

Fox I feel sorry for your dh though he probably couldn't hear you anyway

foxabout2pop · 31/01/2007 11:18

Mossy - naked DT alert!!!

Go over to the Meet Ups - Acton to Sunbury thread and take a look at the link Paddlechicks has posted of DT!!!

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 11:18

Lol at you caring more about your dh's cooking than his looks Rosy

When I first met dh I thought he was gay, he had bleached blond hair and was really skinny in tight-fitting clothes, and he had a man-bag! Thought he was lovely though, and I made it my mission to find out was he / wasn't he!

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 11:18

Foxy will go look now!

sazzybee · 31/01/2007 11:23

he does look yummy though

and naked DT too eh? this place is great

AmieR · 31/01/2007 13:04

I read a while ago that Daniel Radcliffe was going to be in a play where he rides a horse naked and enjoys it a little bit too much!

When did that happen? Puberty is such a funny thing! The next Harry Potters are going to be an interesting watch :D

Well today I'm not holding things together so well... I have god awful aches in my knees and ankles which kept me up most the night, then my lower back started to join in with the assault and I feel so fed up, we also had tears before bedtime last night, DH doesn't understand when I say I'm just crying, nothing in particular just a peak I reach every so often, and need too, and usually feel better for, but not today.

Also got into work as I said I would for today, to do a particular job, gave 5 day warning that I was coming in to do this job so would need everything done for it... has it been done? NO!

... now my printer is not working at all

sexkittyinwaiting · 31/01/2007 13:19

Oh Amie, more hugs to you you poor thing. Would piling more pillows and duvets on your bed in the evening help. I actually sleep on top of a pile if pillows, a trick I learnt a couple of pregs back and it does really help, even if it doesn't stop the aches, you'll feel more comfy
