kitty-what sort of helper is it you have?do you pay her,cos she sounds like shite.i mean, ffs,if a 30 year old bloke expected me to look after him when he was ill i'd tell him where to stick himself!

i was nearly in tears this morning, mainly due to money worries etc.when i feel like that though i hate if anybody asks whats wrong cos im scared of bursting into tears and looking like an idiot.i wanted to save it for my councellor cos she gets paid to listen to me moaning.

Happy Birthday Kiwi!

Kitty, I am so sorry to hear you are having os much stress with your baby. I haven't managed to read all your posts so I'm not sure what is going on but my thoughts are with you. Try, try, try not to stress it really doesn't help. And shame on your 'help' that she can't come and help you when you really need it. Do you have anyone else? It sounds as if you really need to spend some time doing nothing so your body can concentrate on your baby.

BTW, Tescos do fantastic babygros. They have poppers down both legs, I can't get anything even close to being as good as they are here. Highly recommended!

Muppet good luck with turning your baby. You know when you do the crawling around your bum needs to be higher than your shoulders. so staying still with your head down on the floor and wiggling your bum is supposed to be the way to do it.

Callie, lots of love to you and Jordi, I really hope they find they are wrong about Jordi's head and everything is fine. You really have been through enough already. Huge hugs.

Muppet, they won't let me go to 40 weeks, but I am hanging on for as long as possible and still hoping for a normal birth. If the babies decide to be born now they will definitely want me to have a cs.

chocolate - aaaah, I am desparate but we don't have any left in the cupboard (this is what happens when dh is responsible for hte shopping!), this means I have to get showered and dressed before I walk to the shop. Going to raid the cupboard and see if i can find a substitute!

3rdTriMossTer · 30/01/2007 13:41

Kiwi happy birthday!! Hope you get loads of prezzies from everyone, for you rather than for lo of course!

Kitty that guy sounds so nice, his dw must be one happy lady!!

Diva sorry you've been feeling upset.

Muppet good luck with your acupuncture.

Leo it's all getting a bit close now isn't it!? When is your EDD again?

Eids is there anywhere you could hire an air conditioning unit cheaply? I feel for you, I am boiling hot in our office so can only imagine how hot you must be!

Foxy that web site looks really good, will check it out properly later!

Bethoo glad your scan was okay, how great that you could have a little peek!

Diva lol at what you would say to your dp if he was pg. I also would love it if dh could get pg, just so I could say, "how are you today?" and he'd say "I'm really tired" and I could answer, "but you're always tired!"

Dolly I bet you're glad you've finally got that bleedin' tax return out the way!!!

3rdTriMossTer · 30/01/2007 13:42

Oh, Leo, I forgot to say. Chocolate is lovely but I can thoroughly recommend Nutella (choc / hazelnut spread). Not only is it delicious but it comes in a lovely sturdy glass jar, not a screw-on one, so when you've finished, you can use it as a tumbler!

YankeeFish · 30/01/2007 13:56

Wow - scans have not helped, have they? Causing more worries... Everyone just BREATHE..... okay. We will get through this.

All my thoughts & love are with little Jordi - hope to hear good news from CALLIE soon.

Muppet - go for the acupuncture - it is worth the attempt, no matter what. It will hopefully put your mind at ease that you are doing all that you can - and the LO probably just has own agenda and will turn when feels like it.

Kiwi- all the best for your birthday. May not be in the mood to celebrate, but it is important to celebrate yourself a bit - you deserve it, love.

Lets all just BREATHE one more time.... AHHHHH..

Positive thoughts going out to all today - seems like we need it

Happy birthday Kiwi xxxxxx When you are 33 and 1/3 you will be a 'long player' as in the old vinyl records!!

Piffle · 30/01/2007 15:01

Counting days! OMG!
it's funny on one hand how fast it has gone from + test at 4 wks to 33 wks, but thinking of a whole 7 more wks with 25 wees a night, backache, round ligament pain, piles, breathlessness, insomnia, leg cramps, carpal tunnel, itchy bump and extreme tiredness, leaky boobs...
7 wks seems like a lifetime
see I'm ever the optimist

and then on the other hand how little time I have to get organised

Hope everyone is ok today, my appendix scar (had it out at 21 wks)is sooooo itchy it's driving me nuts

AmieR · 30/01/2007 15:32

Happy Birthday Kiwi!

Callie hope the x-rays are all good for Jordi, thinking of you.

Kitty - Tesco's are fantastic for baby stuff... so reasonabley priced.

We're in the same boat with my LO (by the way I think I saw a willy! but couldn't be sure and didn't ask, my intstincts are still femail bundle tho!) Jnr is measuring small, just under the line for where I should eb at this point, so I've been placed under special assessment. Blood movement through Chord was OK tho, so that's a relief, but sonographer did point out how calcified the placenta was already.

I have a MW appointment this thursday but i doubt i will learn anything new, Scan booked in fro the 25th and appointment with consultatn who didn't notice this "situation" when I saw him 2 weeks ago!

Hope we're all well!

Slept like a log last night tho!

sexkittyinwaiting · 30/01/2007 16:44

Aime, when you say just under the line do you mean just below average? Mine is coming up as just on 10th centile i.e. just withing the bounds of a small normal. If he gets further behind he will go off the chart iyswim. You seem very chilled about things which is great I'm a nervous wreck

sexkittyinwaiting · 30/01/2007 16:45

Sorry, done it AGAIN I mean Amie

AmieR · 30/01/2007 16:59

Kitty - on my growth chart I have 3 lines going up the graph. I can't remember the terminlogy from my GCSE's maths!

I'm guessing that the middle one is the norm, the top line the upper and the bottom one the lower.. my latest measurements from the scan today measures just below the lower line.. so I'm guessing below average.

Its about 30cm when I'm at almost 36 weeks. But the graph looks bad esp as it was measuring big at 28 weeks.

I guess I'm a little more calm than you maybe because I've got no past experience about children and pregnancy and how things should go... therefore more ignorant!

I am worried of course, but I feel there is little I can actually do, but its been noticed now, and I'm being monitored accordingly.

Big hugs to you Kitty.

3rdTriMossTer · 30/01/2007 17:33

Piffle, sometimes it does seem it's gone really quickly and that I have eight weeks to go

Whereas other days I feel like I've been pg forever and ever!

Amie and Kitty, I suppose it's good that this growth thing's been picked up on and they can monitor you. But I do sometimes wonder if ignorance would be bliss, all these scans and graphs and measurements... scary!

Ladies I don't know if you remember last week me telling you about my friend who thought her IVF hadn't worked and then found out she was pg? They sent her for a dating scan to see how far along she is.

Five weeks. Which means.... it wasn't the IVF it was natural!!!!!

They're going to start doing the lottery from now on, given their ability to overcome ridiculous odds!

sexkittyinwaiting · 30/01/2007 17:49

That's really good news for your friend Mossy, she must be so thrilled.

Amie, that's just about what mine's on atm. I will have the placenta checked on the 12th.
I lnow there's nothing I can do really, which is what I find so very frustrating. Big hugs to your and babe

muppetisacat · 30/01/2007 18:51

Happy birthday Kiwi - i'm 33 too! Instead of 2 fat ladies (88) we are 2 pregnant ladies - definately the same shape as a 3 when i turn sideways.

Have booked acupuncture for next week - will let you know how I get on - may see if there's anything they can do for this pesky varicose vein under my bump - owww it hurts!!!!

Big hugs to Kitty and Amie - we're all sending you positive thoughts.

More positive thoughts to Callie as well (and to foxy's placenta!)

We're all doing really well and deserve massive pats on the backs just for lasting this long without ending up in a clinic somewhere.

DollyPopsOut · 30/01/2007 19:35

Happy birthday Kiwi . Hope you have a great day.

Callie, I am so sorry that you have had such scaring news about Jordi. I am thinking of you and really hoping that this is a false alarm. You are doing such a great job holding it all together, expressing, etc you deserve a medal. Sending you love, prayers and best wishes.

can't stop to chat tonight I am afraid as I have got to start work in a minute. I am chairing a meeting tomorrow so need to have a vague idea of what is going on. Plus I have got the consultant first thing so need my wits about me so I can argue my case for the CS if needs be. Wish me luck XXXX

sazzybee · 30/01/2007 20:41

Hi all

Happy birthday kiwibella - hope you're having a lovely day

Callie - so sorry to hear to hear that there's new worry about Jordi. You poor thing - I really feel for you. Thinking of you all

Kitty - glad you're feeling a bit better today. Nothing like a good cry.

I dunno - I just feel overwhelmed by the where you are on the line and measuring and scans. I am hugely admiring of all of you who have done this more than once - I can't even imagine going through all this again. I've never been so anxious in my entire life and I just want it to be over. I hope it gets better when the baby's born or I'm going to get committed!

bethoo - I haven't got round to getting the bras yet. Someone (was it you?) posted a thread on pregnancy about it and there was a lot of good advice on there (none of which I can remember of course!)

muppet - I might try the shining a light thing - I'll report back.

3rdtrimosster - that's great news about your friends. Nice to hear a bit of positive stuff - I feel like we need it today! x

divastrop · 30/01/2007 20:56

good luck with getting the cs,dolly.

my friend had her little girl by cs this morning, she's called caysie.
she is the playground friend who ive been comparing bumps and moaning with for the last few months so it all seems more real now she's had her baby

moss-thats good news for your friend

kitty-i dont know what your past experience is but my last 2 babies(and i think this one judging by how hungry i am all the time)have had massive growth spurts at 34 weeks.do you get a chance to rest?do your boys play with the lo's atall?

that nude harry potter thread cheered me up no end.its nice to know that women can be as bad as men when it comes to that sort of thing

divastrop · 30/01/2007 21:01

sazzy-IME as soon as the baby's born its like somebody has erased 9 months of your memory

the anxiety never leaves though, you just worry about different things as they get older.

sazzybee · 30/01/2007 21:32

thanks divastrop - that's very reassuring

Different anxiety I can cope with - I think!

eidsvold · 30/01/2007 21:42

oh bum had written a long post and it disappeared!!

Moss - my latest thing other than swaying in the hammock with a cool afternoon breeze - is to have a shower after lunch and laydown under the fan in my knickers and cool off - fabulous.
I don't mind the heat but the sapping humidity takes its toll.

Leo - can appreciate where you are coming from - when I had dd2 - I had a woman who was in for antenatal observation next to me and all she did was sleep - all day and all night. That was fine - the snoring like a chainsaw was not okay. So between her and dd2 who actually cried and demanded feeding ( unlike dd1 who did not cry for the first 8 weeks or so) I was a wreck - so glad to go home.

Must get earplugs for my hospital bag!!

sexkittyinwaiting · 30/01/2007 21:49

Diva I hope that's the caswe. You know after the amount of pregs I''ve had you'd think i'd be sensible enough and experienced enough to give myself a good clip round the ear.
This is a quick list of preg sizes and baby weights, which shows that you can't always tell AND they are all different
DS1 very large, everyone thought he would come early, born 4 days late 6lb 10oz
DS2 Smaller tum than ds1, born week early by elective section 7 1/2 lb
DD1 Boy was I fat with her! 17 days late 8lb 4oz
DD2 not really big atall with her 13 days late 8lb 2oz
DD3 I was HUGE with her 17 days late 9lb 2oz
DS3 not big, like dd2.....?
You just can't tell. Still I worry, silly mare that I am

AmieR · 30/01/2007 22:11

I think its a maternal instinct to worry.

I took my Mum to my scan today and she was asking all these questions, then showed her 40 years nursing experience by setting up the sonographers table!

I took her as I thought she'd be interested to see how technology has changed since she had my brother and I all those years ago!

She couldn't get over seeing the bones! Bless her.

AmieR · 30/01/2007 22:31

completely Off Topic - Most Haunted makes me laugh!

I'd love to go on it one time!

3rdTriMossTer · 31/01/2007 06:38

Morning all!

Kiwi I can't remember if I said happy birthday to you yesterday I'm losing my mind a bit! If not, happy belated birthday for yesterday!!!

Eids that sounds like a lovely way to cool down. I'll see if I can try it, now, I get at my hottest in work, I wonder if it's a goer there?

Diva I thought that nude Harry Potter thread was funny and then a Mnetter came along whose son was the same age and everyone scuttled off feeling a bit !!

Sazzybee I think the general consensus about bras was go to either mothercare or John Lewis to get fitted, iirc.

Amie I love most haunted it's hilarious. I do a wonderful Derek Acorah impression, but he's not on it any more!!!

The dogs are wagging their tails at me expectantly so I had better go and feed them... see yez all later!
