sazzybee · 12/02/2007 17:44

Ooh sausages!

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 12/02/2007 17:53

Hello pinkranger I wasn't here at the beginning but I think you popped in not so long ago as well with some news iirc?

Well I'm off home in about five minutes but I doubt I'm getting any sausage....

.... because we're having chicken for tea tonight!

(What did you think I meant!?)

muppetisacat · 12/02/2007 17:54

We should all be ordering battered sausages at the moment judging by how our dp/dh's are acting.

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 12/02/2007 17:59

Lol muppet!

Right off home now.... only twelve working days as of tomorrow!!!!

Booboobedoo · 12/02/2007 18:10

Funny you should say that. I am in fact off to the Fish & Chip shop now. Battered sausage for me. Mmmmmmm.

Hi Pinkranger! How's things with you?

I've only got 3 weeks to go now - it's flying by.

Went for the hospital tour this afternoon. Having been reassured by my friend that the labour ward at Kings was 'really nice', I was a bit disappointed. It's just a hospital ward. Horrible lighting, no frills and you're not allowed to open the windows in case mad women throw themselves out and the hospital gets sued.

And the room they showed us smelled of wee.

If this birth goes ok, I'm definitely having the next one at home.

foxabout2pop · 12/02/2007 18:14

Yeah but was it fresh wee or stale? Kings has got a brilliant reputation BTW, so don't let the wee put you off!!

This sausage talk - well you must all be very hormonal

foxabout2pop · 12/02/2007 18:14

Hi Pinkranger

Booboobedoo · 12/02/2007 18:17

Smelled a bit stale tbh foxy [hmmmm].

It's a tough smell to get rid of, but it was not reassuring

AmieR · 12/02/2007 18:23

Kitty - YAY on the scan front, I'm so pleased for you!

Are you able to share your secret baby weight gain diet? Tho I saw my Mum today and she said "Oh you are a lot bigger now" I only saw her last wednesday! so maybe Little Pele won't be so Little... find out thursday I guess!

All this talk about sausages is making me hungry. Never had a saveloy, but big fan of battered sausages.

I actually had sex last night! Poor DH was a little shocked at my advances but I was forgetting what it was like and to be honest.. I have no idea whaen we'll get to do it again!

I think I could have picked a better night tho as he had a job interview frist thing, quite a way away and mumbled all day yesterday about must having to get an early night...

kiwibella · 12/02/2007 18:43

bloomin 'eck... there have been like a hundred posts since lunchtime!! I've been sleeping and thought I would check in while dinner is cooking .

I'll be back - can't keep up at mo!! But, sounds like good news for you today Kitty... yay .

morocco · 12/02/2007 18:58

chat chat chat you lot

hiya pinkranger, good to hear from you, how's things?

good to hear dh's sister has a clue, rosy, and you might yet make it to the hosp together. how is mil?

great news kitty on weight gain (one of the few times we get to say that kind of thing ) I think dd is going to be those kind of proportions, I remember on her scan her head was 50 percentile and her tummy 90th - big fatty lol!

mortgage sounds good fox, so theres still some good deals out there. I reckon it's upwards all the way with interest rates from now on

b hix are insane today

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 12/02/2007 19:00

Amie I'm very at your sexploites. Excellent news that your mum thinks you've grown. Do you think you have ?
My baby growing techniques was to make sure I sat down and ate something really healthy at least once a day e.g. lots of fish, fruit, veg, nuts and seeds and I tried to do as little physically as I could. I also spent half an hour a day listening to my birth cd and slept whenever I could. Who knows, that might have nothing to do with it, but at least I tried!!

Hello pinkranger, thanks for popping over. Hope everything's going ok with you and the preg?

The rest of you are a load of mental, sex starved sausage lovers. As I said I love sausages and I am sex starved and mental.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 12/02/2007 19:03

Talking of dirty hospitals. After I had dd1 I was lying in a side room , looked up at the ceiling and there was dried blood splattered over it.. The mind boggles. It was quite a high ceiling too.

LunarSea · 12/02/2007 19:31

fox - I'm not expecting anything in the way of a sendoff, because

  1. they're all men, and probably wouldn't think of it
  2. I work from home most of the time so they don't see that much of me
  3. I don't even get a card last time and if you get nothing for your first one, it's hardly likely you'll get anything for your second is it?
I might gamble on taking them out for a drink at lunchtime on my last day in the office though and see if anything comes of it!

Amie - are you splashing on Thursday?

pinkranger · 12/02/2007 19:50

Im well everyone , had my 12 week scan today and everything is good so only 27 more to go!!!!!!

Cant belive how time has flown bye and you all already to drop in the next few weeks - so exciting! xx

Jaysecond · 12/02/2007 19:51

Go Kitty!! great news to hear bubba has put on weight, you have to watch those quite ones!!! you must be chuffed now!

chips and gray. mmmmm i was on about having that for my dinner tonight but DH is really poorly so cant go out to fetch, now i would go normally ( if i had to ) but the freelander is in having a major service and wont be back tomorrow and i cant drive DH car on account i cant get in it! So i have had to settle for sausages and mash, but i am still going to have gravy with it!
Rosy, i think its a Savoy thats a 'breed' of cabbage!

Well my scan was fine, the placenta has more than shifted out of the route my boy needs to make his grand entrance, its now a good 10 cm away! They took measurments to 'size' him also, and OMG hes off the frigging scale! apparently he is currently weighing in at just over 8 1/2 lbs, with way everything above average, including head circumfrence and length! At this rate he is set to go over 10lbs ouch!!! Anyway we will see, i have to go back in two weeks for another growth scan, too see if hes grown much more!

Amie at you having the big lurvin last night, good on you, there is NO WAY on earth i could manage that right now, it takes me about 10 minutes just to turn over in bed, i would hate to think how long it would take me to reach anything more pleasurable!!!!! hehehe

Hey Pinkranger, i remember you from the start, hope things are going ok for you, keep in touch

Well DD is feelling a bit better, her antibiotics have kicked in and hses starting to eat again, i was getting worried as its been a week since she ate properly, but i guess it takes it time when they are so small. Bloody viruses they are everywhere, fingers crossed they now leave us all alone for a bit!

Boo nice to hear that you at least still get a tour, my hospital here, doesnt do them anymore, no idea why, when i asked i was given a 'its one of thoses things' answers - crap if you ask me!

Hi and hugs to everyone else, hope the BH arnt troubling you too much and all the bags are packed... not long to go now!!

Jaysecond · 12/02/2007 19:56

xposts ranger, glad to hear the 12 wk scan was all good! keep it going!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 12/02/2007 19:57

Wow Jay, that's HUGE, better get on with the old perenial massage .

Pinkranger, that's such good news, you must be really relieved now

divastropwantstodrop · 12/02/2007 20:00

amie-well done for managaing the deed.i'm not sex starved, just finding it very hard work atm due to worry about my lack of bladder control

i genuinley desire saveloys.to eat.

hi pinkranger, hope everything is going ok for you

divastropwantstodrop · 12/02/2007 20:07

pink-xposts,congrats on your scan.

jay-ouch indeed

i want another scan now, nobody's mentioned the size of the baby to me and the mw hasnt written my fungal height on my notes for weeks.hopefully somebody will tell me something on thursday.

Jaysecond · 12/02/2007 20:28

Awwww Diva, i think you should just ask your MW about the fungus height, or indeed, get your DH/P to measure it for you, do you have MW on Thursday or is it the Hospital? Although i have to say its not all THAT nice to know how massive this blighter could be, its a bit scareyto be honest.......

morocco · 12/02/2007 20:50

good about the placenta, jaysecond - what a whopper though!

hope all babes are doing better and less sniffly, there's loads of nasty bugs around atm

LunarSea · 12/02/2007 20:53

Mossy - one you'll appreciate.....

I had ds and his friend in the car today, taking them to a sports/bouncy castle session at our local sports centre, and they were talking about Dr Who. Now ds has never watched it, although he's obviously picked up a bit from talking to the other boys at school, whereas his friend was obviously a bit more conversant with it.

friend "I'm a cyberman"

ds "well I'm a garlic"

The mind boggles - I can't help thinking of some kind of comedy sketch with a vampire, and a giant garlic bulb trundling towards them and saying in a semi-syntheisesed voice "I am a garlic"

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 12/02/2007 21:17

Jay - glad tour scan went well and am very of your placenta having moved to 10am away (mine is moving but still only 3cm away)

LOL at the "I am a garlic!"

exterminate

off to me bed now, but not for what Aime had last night
