New thread because the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts mark.

i was wondering if you were still hanging on leo

to those who have had a c-section in the past-i thought you werent allowed to drive for at least 3 weeks after??i saw my freind today who had a her section the tuesday b4 last, driving her car

been to the mw this morning.my bp was fine(its so strange),the baby is still posterior though and now 2/5 engaged(although she said it will probably still pop in and out).

LunarSea · 09/02/2007 11:51

Moss - yes it'll be purely from home, and reduced hours after Friday 2nd March.

Diva glad your bp is okay, is there still chance for your lo to turn around? If so... get scrubbing those floors!

Lunar I suppose that's not so bad then, not sure I could do it though! Still at least it means you can have more time off after the birth.

AmieR · 09/02/2007 12:10

I saw that tv prog Kitty! It was a huge bump!

Diva - We were told last week at parentcraft, it was 6 weeks before you could drive again after a CS and to make sure your insurance company knows etc... Glad your BP is behaving!

I've got a dentist appointment this afternoon and I really do not want to go out the house! Will have to dig out my I AM PREGNANT CARD as I don't think I have to pay for dentist treatment do I?

Lunar - your van updates have been tickling me! I wish it would stop snowing now though! LOL

divastrop · 09/02/2007 12:17

moss-the mw told me i should get a yoga ball thingy.i will at some point.i think the baby is unlikely to turn if the head stays engaged, but its likely to come back out again apparantly.

longinglily · 09/02/2007 12:24

Ok big girls

I've been practising links all morning and done no work!

3rdtriMOSSter · 09/02/2007 12:26

Where do you get those yoga ball things are they online?

Amie no you don't have to pay to go to the dentist, I was going to go recently but I forgot all about it (honest).

Oh did anyone see that programme about the really clever kids last night on channel 4? Dh and I watched it gobsmacked.

1973magpie · 09/02/2007 12:27

Have got broadband back yippee!! Hopefully it will carry on working now the engineer has gone

Diva - good news about your bp, long may it continue, hope the lo turns around for you.

Mossy - have got used to SPD and crutches now, it will be weird when (if?) it does go as soon as lo is born

Lunar - I think that you are amazing working up to your due date, even without the SPD I think I would have struggled working for the last couple of weeks. At least as Mossy says it means you will get more time off afterwards

Leo - that's great news that you are holding onto the lo's still, must be a hell of a weight to carry around though, I'm finding my one lo enough of a burden

1973magpie · 09/02/2007 12:29

I think I got my yoga ball for about £12 from Argos? You can get them from the natural childbirth trust as well I think, but they are about £30

Booboobedoo · 09/02/2007 12:32

Diva: DH came home with a yoga ball for me last night. Bless 'im.

I certainly don't speak like the Queen, (although my Grandma maysherestinpeace sounded exactly like her. In fact, I get all soppy when I hear the Queen's voice. Same pitch and everything). I've lived in London too long for that.

Lunar: I'll probably have to keep doing paperwork at home up until the birth too. It's the price I pay for being self-employed. Wouldn't change it for the world though. No boss - lovely.

Rosy: checked your cheese thread. You are now a pro at links.

Magpie: I did go to Bangor! I was there from 94-98. It's such a fantastic place! I nearly ended up staying there, but missed my family too much in the end. Coming back to the Smoke was a bit of a culture shock to put it mildly.

I used to spend a lot of time in the Greek Taverna. Was it still open when you were there?

Leo: you're doing brilliantly with those twins! You must have a lovely healthy body. They're obviously thriving in there.

Kitty: I thought I was having BHs, but now I'm not sure if the tightening isn't just the baby wriggling under my ribs. How are you s'posed to know?

Foxy: any chance of you getting an afternoon nap?

Good luck at the osteo Laidback.

Mossy: my Mum said that when she was pregnant women stopped work 2 months before they were due. That would've been lovely...

Was supposed to meet my antenatal class girls for lunch today but
a) I've got too much paperwork to do
b) I can't really afford it.

Bum.

Suppose that's a good reason for staying at work longer. Cash.

Anyone heard from Rainbowgirl?

Booboobedoo · 09/02/2007 12:35

Amie: I wouldn't worry about finding your prescription card. I'm guessing you look pregnant by now .

Mossy: you can buy pilates balls in any old sports shop really. DH went into a dodgy discount sports shop on Oxford Street and got mine for £7.99.

rosylonginglily · 09/02/2007 12:56

I think I'll have to keep this name for a bit as it aptly describes me...longing for baby to come, bored of being pregnant, and then I'll be longing for sleep...

Leo it's getting really close for you now, you are doing brilliantly!

Magpie I hadn't realised you were having to use crutches My spd is getting slightly worse now, don't know how I would cope if it got really bad though!

It would be great to hear from Rainbowgirl I hope she's ok...

Rosylily · 09/02/2007 13:02

Now I've noticed I have lost my profile page, wondering if it reappears with old name....

Rosylily · 09/02/2007 13:04

Yep...

AmieR · 09/02/2007 13:14

BooBoo - I kept looking as I knew it would be somewhere, but in true pregnant mashed up brain stylee I looked in the same place about 4 times, didn't see it, then on the 5th trip to that place... THERE IS WAS!

I knew I wasn't going mad, but I am prone to throw things out like that... like my tax return form... which thankfully they owed me money so was exempt from the £10O fine... glad I stopped being self employed a while back, I'm just not organised enough with paperwork!

oh.. and why am at a dentist that is a 30 minute drive away?

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 09/02/2007 13:46

Rosy I'm with you... I have changed my name to emphasise my fedupwithwaiting-ness!

Magpie welcome back to the land of broadband!!

Rosylily · 09/02/2007 14:27

boredMossy, how did you change your name without losing your profile? Flippity sake I only just got the hang of links and now I'm technically baffled again!

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 09/02/2007 14:35

When you change your name, then you go into your profile bit on "my mumsnet" and there is a section called "profile mover" and you can select the profile from a previous nickname.

Go on, do it... you've mastered links already, step outside of your comfort zone, feel the fear and do it anyway!

rosylonginglily · 09/02/2007 14:50

I can't go into my profile it says no such page once I change name stuff it...my profile is boring anyway!

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/02/2007 14:51

I'm going to do that too. Want new name , don't know what though.

boredwithwaitingforminiMOSSY · 09/02/2007 15:00

Ah Rosy but you've your picture with half your head cut off in your profile!!! Bring it back bring it back!

Kitty whatcha gonna be now?

divastropwantstodrop · 09/02/2007 16:20

moss-if there is a home bargains near you they have yoga balls for £3.99 atm

i keep meaning to look at them and see what kind of pump you need but every time i go into town my mind goes blank.good job i live in the town centre otherwise i'd be fed up with the time wasting by now.

divastropwantstodrop · 09/02/2007 16:22
