Mmmmmm.... blue veined forbidden cheese - lovely!!

Eids... that's where it all starts you know, one moment she's nicking cute shoes, the next she's hotwiring cars and running protection rackets!!

Diva thanks for the info re: bh, feel a bit more "normal" now!!

My morning has not got off to a blinder I have to say. Put the dogs out back and one of the pets - I suspect Ziggy - has managed to get a chicken carcass out of one of the bin bags. Arthur got his jaws round it and did not want to get it back, had to chase him around the yard! Anyway I finally got it from him, and then when he got in, he decided to show how annoyed he was by having a wee over the kitchen floor!

Ah well at least when I'm on mat leave I should be able to walk 'em in the morning instead of the evening and get rid of some of that early energy!

Amie I really hope it does snow here.... loads of other places in the country have had snow and the national news always goes on about how the "whole country is covered in snow" and we never get any... maybe today's the day?

3rdtriMOSSter · 08/02/2007 06:41

Oi foxy stop it with your snow! We don't have any here yet... I'm still waiting!

LunarSea · 08/02/2007 08:08

We have about 2" - and the meeting I was supposed to be going to has been cancelled because the other people don't want to travel. It's right by the M1 ffs, and it'd take a lot more snow than this for it to actually settle on there. Wimps!

Ironically dh and ds are off skiing this week, and I think we've had more new snow than they have. Shame it wasn't next week when ds will be here and off school as we have a fab sledge in the garage (like this one - only my dad got it for £5 at a car boot sale!)

3rdtriMOSSter · 08/02/2007 08:15

IT IS SNOWING IN LIVERPOOL!!!

Lunar that sledge looks absolutely brill!

sazzybee · 08/02/2007 08:32

Was woken just before 6 with the sound of the cat being sick on the bed

Tons of snow in NW London. I'm not going to antenatal classes - all the tubes are down and I thought I was going to fall over just taking the rubbish out

I am tempted though to throw the cat out into the blizzard

bethoo · 08/02/2007 09:03

sazzybee - do not go there with vomiting animals! why they insist on being sick on the living room carpet instead of taking that extra step onto the kitchen floor i do not know! my male cats eats to fast then brings it back up! i swear he is anorexic!
well 37 weeks tomorrow and still yet to pack my bags!

did not see dp last night as at work a water main burst on him so he was working soaked. he seemed quite gutted when i said just to drop the stuff off at his mums as he replied he wanted to see me and see how i am! shame he has not been there throughout this whole pregnancy!

Rosylily · 08/02/2007 09:34

We are very disappointed here...absolutely no snow! We've been reading 'the snowman' everynight recently, ooh it would be such fun with the children if we had a heap of snow! Lunar that sledge looks great!

It's actually milder here today than yesterday, though I still had to jump start the car. Once I've popped out this baby I'm going to walk everywhere and get fit!

Diva glad you liked the cheese, I'm quite excited that I've learnt how to do links! Foxy, if I can do it anyone can so come on it's your turn!

Very funny that all you guys have disgusterous pets it's good practise for you

Eidsvold I hope you get a rest, it's awful not getting a good sleep.

bethoo · 08/02/2007 09:38

it is amazing how i can handle doggy poo yet the thought of baby poo freaks me out!

Rosylily · 08/02/2007 09:40

Bethoo, just wait til you are presented with the meconium (sp) the babys first few nappies are full of it, it's like sticky tar!

foxabout2pop · 08/02/2007 09:45

Rosy - you can do libks? Am I the only one left who can't??

DD woke this morning, looked out of the window and coooed "Mummy, is it Christmas?"

Mummy immediately visualises credit card statements...

Rosylily · 08/02/2007 09:56

Fox, you can't even type 'links' (tease tease)

sazzybee · 08/02/2007 10:10

DD woke this morning, looked out of the window and coooed "Mummy, is it Christmas?"

Aww - that's so sweet! How old is she?

My BIL set the alarm clock early this morning so he and my nephew could go and build a snowman before school.

Kids + snow are ace

Piffle · 08/02/2007 10:11

Morning fellow expectees
Oh today heralds the start of the lovely round ligament pain which radiates down your inner thighs and makes one or both legs collapse suddenly or go into cramp like spasms.
Add to that a young lad inside who has learned to bounce fro the top and then try to claw his way out down below - the nerve shocks are most unwelcome.
Feeling lightheaded again today, kinda like if you're hyperventilating, midwife appt tomorrow so will mention it then

Grabbing quick 5 mins as dp is working from home (yes we have lots of snow) and is off making tea HOORAY!

sexkittyinwaiting · 08/02/2007 10:13

Hello all, I'm trying to read your news when I can but our internet is truly rubbish and I don't get a link most of the time. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon.

Rosylily · 08/02/2007 10:20

Piffle I'm getting a bit of that too! (not long now, not long now...)

Booboobedoo · 08/02/2007 10:35

We've got beautiful snow too! Woke up to a couple of inches (fnar, fnar), and it's still coming down all thick and feathery. Lovely.

The dog loves it. You kick it up into a big spray, and she jumps about in it madly.

I've been getting that ligament pain when walking, coupled with the feeling that my fanjo's about to fall out. My bump has dropped at the top by about an inch, so I'd guess he's getting ready to exit. Isn't that quite early for a first baby to start engaging?

I watched Relocation last night Mossy - DH and I are addicted. You're sort of of torn between feeling sorry for them when they don't get the place they want and it gets all emotional, and thinking at the same time 'YOU LUCKY, LUCKY BASTARDS!'.

Hope you all have a lovely morning. Don't fall over in the snow!

Booboo I had never seen it before, I'd only ever seen the p*sstake they do of it on Dead Ringers, so I had that in the back of my mind, I thought it was funny!

From what I have read first babies engage sooner, whereas subsequent babies engage later, and sometimes not even until you're in labour. So 36/37 weeks might be about right!

Dh has taken the afternoon off (he works in local government, so he gets flexi time ) he says he is going to sit at home eating toast and reading a book, but I know he's going to walk the dogs and watch them in the snow ! Anyway I've sent him to hunt for any remains of that chicken carcass in the back yard, don't want the pets choking on bones!!

Rosy I am practising on the pets. The dogs are nervous of my "ahem!!" voice and I have swaddled Ziggy in various blankets.

As for poo and sick and wee... Bethoo I'm with you I don't give it a second thought so hopefully it won't be too bad when I'm faced with it constantly from a baby... but I'm probably deluding myself, after all, you can't use a plastic freezerbag to pick up baby poo!!

Piffle sorry you're not feeling so great, if dp's working from home can you lie on the couch watching the snow out of the window and get him to run around after you?

Sazzy kids and snow are cute aren't they? I can't wait until Bertie has his first snow and I can dress him up in one of those suits like the Michellin (sp?) man!!!

AmieR · 08/02/2007 10:52

Morning All - Dog was not impressed with me this mornign, dragging him round the park in the snow! He looked so miserable!

Much happier now tho, as he's curled up in a ball, snoozing in the warm.

Fearing my for my safety as DH is constructing the cotbed as I type.. you should hear his language!

Is Phil Spencer on that housing program? I got a thing for him! LOL not a major one... just a little bit

Little Pele has been wriggling well since the slow spell on tuesday and headache has gone too! thankfully. Just ache like heck now and I too have the falling out Fanjo sensation!

LunarSea · 08/02/2007 10:53

I can't focus on work today. Usually it's really quiet here, but today there are all the kids in the street out playing snowballs/building snowmen/sledging. I've lent them ds's sledge so it least it's getting some use, even if he's not here, and have just been out for a while as I wasn't getting any work done anyway. If it carries on like this I won't be able to go out tonight as planned anyway, so I can always catch up then.

bethoo · 08/02/2007 11:00

Mossy - was thinking the same, imagined picking up baby poo armed with a poop bag! they are a godsend! i think i will have to get one of those michelin man type snow suits as it is predicted minus 14 in March!
Amie - one of my dogs was almost balancing on one front leg this morning as he did not want to stand in the slush bless him! had to force him out the house then when he came back in he sat by the front fire whcih was not even on! sometimes it is like having two 2 year old toddlers already! just hope there will be no surprises for me when i get home! the other one was less scared of the snow and was skidding all over the kitchen floor from running in from the garden at full speed! well that is it, i am now on a roll talking about my boys so i will halt it there!

bethoo · 08/02/2007 11:02

Booboo - you are lucky, mine has not engaged yet and stating to think that he will never as he seems quite happy in there liquidising my insides! sometimes i think he has dropped as i feel pressure on my bladder at times (he knows when i leave the house!)yet my bump is still quite high!

foxabout2pop · 08/02/2007 11:24

Lunar - going out tonight? You have so much energy, I admire you

Mossy - foxes got into our bins and spread dirty kids trainer pants all over the lawn

"Lawn" sounds a bit posh does it not??

I love relocation Boo, it feeds my fantasy about a "better life". My Mum told me on Sunday we could buy a 4 bed family house in Wiltshire for £250k !!!!!! Imagine it eh?

Rosy - I'm so humiliated!

Piffle, I get those feelings too - achey inside legs, heart pounding in my ears and very breathless. And not just when I watch David Tennant either!!

foxabout2pop · 08/02/2007 11:25

Sazzy - DD is 3.5 aqnd made of pure pink marsh mallow

LunarSea · 08/02/2007 11:34

Fox - I don't often get to go out, but having been on my own all week I'm starting to need to talk to somebody!!! Have just watched a delivery van get stuck outside, and then 4 guys trying to push it all go flat on their faces. Shouldn't laugh really!
