AH!!! Bunch just spotted your pics in Instagram! CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a gorgeous, big, bouncy baby!! Can't believe the journey is ending for people...God it's been a long time since the original thread though!! I can't believe that paracetamol was so helpful adds paracetamol and throat sweets to hospital list

Oh and to check in to this thread...
I'm Ni, 34, 18+2. Really impatient to feel clear movement from little one, but delighted that 20week scan is just around the corner! Smile Loving the second trimester Grin

Pinklily1 · 12/08/2016 20:16

Sorry to hear about the rubbish nights sleep Potato and Bunch. Hope you have better sleeps tonight.

Indi, yeah for the poo Grin Sorry to hear you are in pain though. How is your ankle?

Miley, sorry to hear you were sick again. I wonder what prompted that when you've not had it for so long?

I feel slightly better today, although I felt very strange during the night. I've still got pains in my tummy but i think its wind Blush

Dannii, the nursing bra situation is stressing me out. I got measured at Mothercare and she put my in one cup size up from what I am currently wearing, but the bra felt like it was doing nothing. I'm waiting till I hit 38 weeks and then am going to order some from Figleaves as they have a better range and you can get some with flexi wiring which is apparently ok when nursing. I figure if baby doesn't take to breastfeeding, I can then return them for a refund as they won't have been worn.

New, it could be a sign! I've been poking much more than usual and wondered if things might be starting, but i'm only 37+3 so I doubt it Hmm

Mileymoocow · 12/08/2016 20:46

pink I have no idea! Just the one episode so hopefully it was just a one off!

indi thanks, I feel lads better. Sounds as though you're suffering though Sad sciatica is horrendous so I really feel for you.

Dress goes on. Makes me look incredibly frumpy but at least it fits! It's not about me anyway so I'm not bothered. Had nails done and a spray tan as a treat to make myself feel a little better. OH currently sitting complaining about the smell Grin it's better than my usual stink on an evening though. Done nothing but run round doing last minute things for tomorrow and am really feeling it - I'm so exhausted.

Hope everyone has a good weekend

Sodasoda · 12/08/2016 20:50

Thanks miley yes, I've got a stand in ring as my finger feels funny without my rings on now!

Potato urgh to spiders! I think I'm your situation id hide and sulk to be honest!

My friend has recommended bravado nursing bras - says they're super comfy. I think I'll see what they say in John Lewis when I go this week - I'll report back!

I'm looking forward to labour if it means I'll have lots of poos in the days beforehand! Grin Still pretty constipated but I probably manage to go every 2-3 days now which feels like a huge step forward.

Sodasoda · 12/08/2016 20:53

Ooh pic tomorrow of you in bridesmaid dress please miley! glad it fits ok in the end. I'm bridesmaid next weekend ( I'll be 36+2). I've tried my dress again and it's fine ( it's a maternity dress) but I have a strong worry that the matching high heels the bride wants us all to wear will be a no go for me as all I can fit my fat feet in is flip flops currently Hmm

PotatosMum · 12/08/2016 21:02

Ni yay! It's been far too long since anyone's posted a 20 week scan. Can't wait Grin

Miley so glad dress fits, it's a shame it's frumpy though. Have a fun weekend Grin

Speaking of rings. I'm quite miffed. The cousin I don't like has struck again... Not only did she announce that she was pregnant (must have got upduffed when she'd only been seeing her BF for about a month Hmm) a couple of weeks before me, and she's just given birth, again a couple of weeks before me but now she's just got engaged before me Angry I know I have no right to be cross about this but I'm going to be anyway. Oh well, at least everyone dislikes her OH -evil-

Mileymoocow · 12/08/2016 21:35

Some advice - if you're thinking of getting a spray tan in pregnancy...don't. OH just commented on my water retention in my lower leg (literally only said that he could feel the water and did they hurt) and I burst into tears ridiculous, I know. and now I have a streaky face!

Thanks ladies, I will post a pic tomorrow! Bride looks gorgeous so I'm happy.

potato I'd be pissed off, too! Just remember her life is irrelevant though, and you'll have your very own baby potato here soon!

AudreyBradshaw · 12/08/2016 21:40

On the mobile which is about to die so trying to catch up on thread but thought I'd share a couple of pics of baby from today!

Pinklily1 · 12/08/2016 22:03

They are fab Audrey!!

Sodasoda · 12/08/2016 22:24

Ah lovely Audrey!
*
Potato* I'd be annoyed too !

Does anyone else find baby getting a lot of hiccups? I find they have hiccups at least a couple of times a day. It's cute and I like it but just wondering how often others are experiencing it?

Danni89 · 12/08/2016 22:39

Thanks for the bra tips ladies, I'll ask when I go into Mothercare next week.

Lovely pics audrey!

Yes to loads of hiccups soda, calmed down from a few weeks ago though only 1-2 a day now

Pinklily1 · 12/08/2016 22:46

Baby probably gets them once or twice a week Soda. Only started noticing it at about week 34 though.

shelbTa · 13/08/2016 03:48

Insomnia.

Amazing pics Audrey!

Soda - yeah my gets them for about ten mins twice a day

X

IndiX · 13/08/2016 07:36

Morning,

Shelb I hope you got back to sleep!

Soda yeah I'd say Beanie gets them every day and they last for about 10mins.

Audrey those pics are gorgeous, isn't it the most surreal feeling knowing that baby is inside you?!

Miley hope you have a lovely weekend, shame you feel a bit frumpy but never mind. At least the dress fitsSmile

Potato yeah that would annoy me too. Once potato is here though I'm sure you won't give a toss about her.

Been up since 6.30, my dogs decided to bark at anything and everything throughout the night so that made for a bit of a crap sleep. Ankle is sore still, I wanted to go to spin this morning but DH and DM are nagging me not to. I know they're right but I'm getting a bit stir crazy in the house. Sciatica doesn't feel as bad so far this morning so hopefully I'm over the worst of it and it'll calm down soon.
Good news is my bowels are completely back to normal Grin I highly recommend oranges and peaches. I had 3 small oranges and 1 peach on Thursday and yesterday and I'm back in action!

ElleSarcasmo · 13/08/2016 07:46

Morning all!

Lovely pics Audrey! What a cute little nose. I'm guessing boy.

Potato I would be annoyed too. Hope you don't have to see too much of her.

Miley hope you're feeling ok now and that the wedding goes ok.

Lots of you seem to have Snuzpods-did you get them on recommendation? They do look gorgeous. I was wondering whether it would work to have a normal cot bed with the side down on the bed instead, has anyone done that? Maybe with a sleepyhead inside too.

Can't wait to feel baby hiccups Smile

PotatosMum · 13/08/2016 08:17

Morning all, how are you doing today?

Aww Miley you poor thing. I hope you have a lovely day today despite the stripes!

Stardrey woohoo!!! That is an actual baby!

Soda yep, Potato gets hiccups at least two or three times a day... She has them right now lol.

Indi take easy on that ankle. Better to go stir crazy now than to mess it up for years to come like I did with my knee.

So I'm 38 weeks today and Potato is apparently the size of a ukulele. I'm so happy but surprised I've managed to carry her this long, with all my complications and family history on both sides I was fully expecting her to be premature. OH is also really happy as DSS was premature and he was worried about going through that again. He is still however completely baffled by the concept that we're having an actual baby... Can't say I'm much less baffled myself though!
It has occurred to me that I really need to get my butt in gear now, set up the Moses basket and sort out the bottles and feeding stuff. Potatoes room is currently a dumping ground for her stuff and I need to make up her pram again as we took it apart for storage.

I slept better last night but must have still got up about 6 times. I was so tired that I fell back to sleep the moment my head hit the pillow though.

Glad I'm not the only one who would be irrationally irritated at the cousin. We don't see her often and i don't really care what she does. It's more of a "for f sake, stop pipping me to the post" kind of thing Wink

Sodasoda · 13/08/2016 08:31

Thanks for hiccup reassurance! I've just noticed it more and more over last couple of weeks.

Congratulations on 38 weeks potato!

Elle* not sure about a cot bed - think that would be a bit big (depending on your bedroom size) and might not be very secure if it doesn't attach to the bed. I've got a Chico next to me co- sleeping bed and was planning on using a sleepyhead in that. There's a few articles online which compare that and snuzpod so maybe take a look if you're interested?

John Lewis has delivered our pram and car seat this morning and I really want DH to get up so he can help me set it all up and have a play! Excited! Smile

Pinklily1 · 13/08/2016 08:35

Morning all

The Snuzpod looks good. We were given a moses basket, otherwise we probably would have got a Snuzpod.

I'm going to guess boy for Audrey too Smile

Potato, congrats on 38 weeks Smile. Not long now hopefully! I've just put all the moses basket bedding in the wash and am hoping to sort out a few more bits today in preparation for baby.

Indi, i'd give spinning a miss if I were you, you don't want to aggravate your ankle.

Miley, hope the wedding goes well. It looks like it will be a decent day weather wise for it.

I discovered yesterday that at my 40 week midwife appointment I will get booked in for an induction at 41 weeks if baby hasn't arrived by then. I'd rather avoid induction but like the idea that I have a maximum of three weeks left. I"m really struggling with sleep because the pain in my hips is so bad. Its fine getting to sleep, but from about 3am onwards I'm just so uncomfortable.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

Pinklily1 · 13/08/2016 08:36

Which car seat and pram did you go for in the end Soda? Its so exciting when they arrive!

ElleSarcasmo · 13/08/2016 09:15

Thanks Soda, I hadn't thought about it attaching to the bed Confused. I'll have a look for the articles now. I wondered about the next to me too as it can be used as a travel cot.

Ukelele Potato Grin! That is so random. Congratulations on 38 weeks!

Pink sorry about your hips, that sounds rubbish.

shelbTa · 13/08/2016 09:38

Morning ladies

Elle - yeah my friends recommended the snuzpod and sleepyhead (who comes up with these names?!)

Congrats on 38 weeks potato, feel like anything is happening?

Ok - when I get up for a wee in the night I have period pains and braxton hicks afterwards - anyone else?

X

BunchOfBobs · 13/08/2016 10:10

Elle that's exactly what we've got up, an IKEA Gulliver awaiting delivery of the sleepyhead today though. It's attached with zip ties and has a pool noodle at the side of the mattress to butt both mattresses against each other. It's working like a dream but he is drowned in it as its so big.

Potato that would massively piss me off too.

Audrey absolutely gorgeous!! Looks like you've got he button nose there Atticus is sporting.

Had a better night last night, LOTS of feeding but we were prepped for it so no really screaming. Milk appears to have come in and we'be got our latch down. Also he's slept since 4 and still sleeping now!!!!

IrregularCommentary · 13/08/2016 10:22

Indi - don't do it! I really screwed up my ligament falling down steps when I was 18. Didn't rest it properly and at 31 I still get niggles from it sometimes. Ligament recovery can really be worse than having broken bones so don't push it, you'll only make it worse for much longer.

LillianFullStop · 13/08/2016 10:31

Good luck on the scan Ni will you find out if you're team blue or pink? We need more team pink on the thread Grin

Lovely scan audrey!

soda yay for the pram and car seat! which car seat did you go for? DH is in charge of choosing one and he's got distracted and started choosing a car he wants instead Hmm

shelb yes to the period pain after a wee but mines not followed by BH. Then again I'm only 29+5 so maybe it will be added to the repertoire in a few weeks!

pink yay to 3 weeks or less - let's hope for less so you don't need to be induced!

FlowersFlowers to those with crappy sleep - I keep being told to 'get all the sleep you can now before baby comes' but seems the insomnia kicks in before they do!!!

YAY for the milk coming in bunch!!!! was little Atticus fine on just colostrum the first couple of days or did you need to top up with formula?

BunchOfBobs · 13/08/2016 11:09

Utterly fine lillian. He's lost 7.2% of his birth weight which they're really chuffed with, anything up to 8% is normal and they only hospitalise for 10%. He's still asleep, I think I need to wake him to feed him, that and I miss my cuddles.....
