Indi Sorry to hear about your aches and pains - maybe it's time to take it easy and try a different gym routine?

Hep Looking forward to hearing how your scan goes later too!

Lillian The Andrex wipes are great but the supermarket own brand ones are just as good. I have some doubts about how flushable they really are but they all claim to be! I just make sure not to flush more than one or two at a time to avoid any problems. I find they help to prevent any soreness from nipping to the loo a bit too frequently! Blush

Planet Sorry to hear that your move date is being pushed back. Hopefully you will have time to settle in before baby arrives.

Soda Congratulations on reaching full term! Such an exciting milestone! Not long now until you get to meet your baby.

Bunch I hope your first day alone with Atticus is going well so far.

Pyxie Wishing you lots of luck with househunting!

Pink Hope you manage to find some time to nap today. And fingers crossed that you and Shelb haven't got too much longer to wait now... Final countdown now for both of you! My NCT class seemed to suggest sweeps only work for 1 in 8 women? I haven't done any research though so I'm not sure. Fingers crossed you're the one it works for!

Miley Are you feeling less sick now?

Feeling sorry for all of you commuting on the Tube - sounds pretty grim!

Boring day ahead cooped up indoors and lying on the sofa to avoid hip/pelvic pain (woke up SO MANY times last night!) but I'm going to the pub with the NCT girls tonight for something to eat and my friend is picking me up to go out for coffee with her nearly 9-month-old baby tomorrow morning so plenty to look forward to! I just wish I was able to work - I should have another week left.

leoniethelioness · 24/08/2016 10:28

Thank you, Bunch! Off to Google...

shelbTa · 24/08/2016 10:46

Pink - shit, probably didn't update you guys from ages ago, my bad - my due date is actually 29th August!!!

X

shelbTa · 24/08/2016 10:46

Glad scan went well Leonie X

mayago · 24/08/2016 13:19

We had the 20 week scan yesterday, and found out we're on team pink! I'm absolutely over the moon - had the biggest smile on my face all day. I think my parents were rooting for a girl as well (their only granddaughter is almost 20, eek!) so it's a bit of a relief. Everything is fine with baby, and we even got to count her toes! Measuring 21 weeks, which is 2 days off. My due date is the 5th of January.

Stardrey that's an unfortunate situation with your BIL. I hope you're able to distance yourself from it and enjoy a relatively stress-free pregnancy! How does your OH cope?

Bunch those are the sweetest photos! I hope your day is going well with OH not being there.

I'm reading a lot about poo. I've not had an issue here so far - does it get more difficult as you get further along? I'm eating a lot of fruit, and simple carbs so the diet isn't wonderful.. The wet wipe tip is a good one, and I'll put a travel pack in my bag! I over bought for Glastonbury this year.

Feef I'm sorry to hear about the house. It's an unsettling time, and I have my fingers crossed that another one comes up soon!

Mmm Indi pasteurised brie? I might have to get myself to the shop to search. I really want a baked camembert and a french stick, but it's just me on my own and I'm afraid I'd eat the whole thing.

Sorry the house move has been pushed back Planeteer. I hope you're feeling better about it today.

Pyxie sorry your sellers pulled out! That's really crappy. Seems like moving house is more problematic on this thread. Hope you find another house soon.

Mylie I hope your latte helped! I tried that awhile ago with decaf lattes from Starbucks, but my body obviously couldn't be fooled.

Soda hope your maternity leave comes around quickly! I found it hard enough to get to 20 weeks before finding out the sex. I applaud your willpower!

Leonie that's a great face shot in your scan pic! Mine yesterday still looks a bit alien with massive eye sockets. I hope baby turns for you!

shelbTa · 24/08/2016 13:31

What a lovely scan may, congratulations!!

Pink - just lost a big chunk of plug, bout the size of two 50ps.

X

BunchOfBobs · 24/08/2016 13:51

Eek Shelb so exciting. I started to lose my plug on 39+2, gave birth the next day......WinkGrin

BunchOfBobs · 24/08/2016 13:52

Lovely scan May, adorable little feet Smile

shelbTa · 24/08/2016 15:02

I feel really emotional and exhausted bunch - did you feel like that? X

Mileymoocow · 24/08/2016 15:03

leonie I feel a bit better, just have terrible tummy cramps. I read constipation can really make you feel unwell so I wonder if that's the cause! Still no action but I'm making an awful lot of gurgling noises! Your scan photo is so cute - can definitely make out features!

may aw those teeny tiny feet! I can't quite believe you're 20 weeks, it seems like that has flown over! Hopefully for you, too.

bunch how is your day going?

shelb very exciting!!!! Plug is so grim but hopefully it means things are happening Grin did you have any blood with yours?

Pinklily1 · 24/08/2016 15:53

thats a lovely scan pic may. I'm glad the scan went well, and welcome to Team Pink! I haven't struggled too bad with poo, apart from a week or so at about 25 weeks.

Shelb, that makes more sense with your due date. I always puzzled how you were due the day after me but hit your weekly marks the day before me! I thought my maths was all to pot Smile That's so exciting about the mucus plug! Gross question but did it come out when you wiped? I keep looking on the toilet paper and in the toilet every time I go Blush

It's good that the induction is booked in for only a day after your due date, so even if things don't progress by them (hopefully they will though!), you know I'm less than a week things will be given a kick start.

We've just been out for a walk, about an hour and a half, so I'm hoping that might help things along.

BunchOfBobs · 24/08/2016 15:53

Shelb I did. The day before my plug went I kept telling DH "I feel different" and I super tired.

Day going fine thanks Miley. I've had 2 poonamis and been peed on but that's it** Grin. Lots of cuddles, 2 naps for me. Washed a load of nappies and all the towels we own. Prepped the resuseable wipes. All good here...... Until my parents rang.
Why are mothers so damn difficult. I think she's struggling with everything going on with Dad and she can't be here but her way of dealing with it is being a nasty cow to me. I was on the verge of tears but Dad stuck up for me so no doubt there's a huge row going on there now.
I've decided to just take a step back from mum for the next few days, in too delicate to deal with her moods. She's too bloody difficult sometimes.

HepKestrel · 24/08/2016 16:11

maya love those feet !

can safely say, my scan wasn't so impressive.... I actually had to ask the scanner-lady if there was anything there !! turns out, i am not at 13 weeks.......... i'm at 6 !!!!!! Shock

feeling a little embarrassed ! but she said she could see the heart beat. Grin So i have a bean !! Grin

so turns out:

i did skip two AF due to stress...... my bfn's (including blood test) were all correct, and i am just getting fat and not a bump Blush

right..... to the gym tomorrow!!!

so the bad news is that the fatigue will be here to stay for a while, and morning sickness may still hit me.

I am officially the worst at symptom spotting!

leoniethelioness · 24/08/2016 16:33

Oh, Hep - that's annoying but at least all seems to be progressing well? When are you due? Early May? xxx

HepKestrel · 24/08/2016 16:36

late april. - so at least we have more time to sort the house out.

don't think i can know more accurately than that until the dating scan?

And she definitely saw a little bean with a heartbeat.

another scan in 10 days ....hopefully i can see what shes looking at in that one!! she tried to point the heart out to me, i couldn't really see it. OH thought he could...

shelbTa · 24/08/2016 16:55

Hi

Glad it went wel hep - albeit a tinier baby than thought!

Bunch - totally get stepping back from any family drama, you've got loads going on what with newborn and stitches recovery/

Pink - yeah was when I wiped after a two hour sleep, otherwise bone dry. No braxtons today at all. Bloody hell 1.5 hour walk, that's incredible, you've done so well with your fitness the whole way through.

Waves to everyone.

X

mayago · 24/08/2016 16:55

Aw, Hep. I had an early dildo cam scan at 5+3 after a faint, and there was a blob with a flickering heartbeat. I had a private scan at 9 weeks when my parents were visiting, and the EDD given was a week off the dating scan. 12 and 20 week scans were consistent at least!

Bunch are you finding the reusables tiring? I was planning on starting after a month or so; once I'd figured out how to 'mum'. Although I live in hope, I don't think I'll take so quickly to everything as you have!

Thanks ladies; it finally feels like I'm growing an actual human! I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow, so finally past the half way point! I have a feeling the next 19 weeks are going to be more interesting Grin

I should probably tell my employer I'm pregnant now. I work mainly from home, and I've managed to cover it well up until now.. I'm terrified as we're an office of 4, and my assistant is already on maternity leave. We've had issues with her mat cover, and I've had a shitload more work as a result. We'll probably end up returning at the same time as she's taken the whole year, and I'm only planning on 18 weeks Confused

BunchOfBobs · 24/08/2016 17:05

Maya to be honest I'm not the one who's been dealing with it until recently. But DH hasn't complained. It's just one wash load a day and when the amount of nappies drops off we don't have to wash them that often.

Hep glad you saw a heartbeat if smaller than expected.

Feefeefs · 24/08/2016 17:28

That's a lot of stress bunch!! Are DHs parents around? Poor you with the poonamis! My friend used to eat slightly spicier food for a few days if her baby was constipated and always worked well! Not sure if that's in line with the advice/ recommendations though!

Hope you find something too pyxie! So frustrating isn't it. We're not selling our flat we're going to rent it so feels like it should all be straight forward! But it's just not! 2 more viewings on Saturday.

Very excited for bake off pink! I feel a bit sad!

Glad you've got some nice activities planned leonie is your pain any better with the rest?
Scan pictures are lovely! I think the sweep stats are always a bit variable as they are quite poorly tolerated.

Ha ha cute feet may! Congratulations on little girl. Thanks for the good wishes. I've not had any constipation as yet but diarrhoea occasionally. Where I work (NHS) You have to tell them 18 weeks before you're due to get your mat leave pay so better tell them sooner rather than later.

Eek shelbta!!

Glad you got to see your bean hep even if a bit smaller than anticipated!!

Danni89 · 24/08/2016 18:18

Glad you're managing well without DH bunch.. I'm very much expecting to be peed on at some point Hmm

Glad there's a been in there hep although it's not as far on at you thought

Lovely scan pics may/leonie

Hope you guys are doing ok shel/pink

I am very much looking forward to bake off tonight.. Love it!

Midwife went well, everything seems to look ok. Found out if I do go over, my induced date will be 40+10 which means there will be a baby here by 21st sept... Yippee

Sodasoda · 24/08/2016 18:30

Urgh I'm so hot and grumpy! Nobody gave me a seat on tube tonight until a man actually shouted 'would someone please give this beautiful pregnant lady a seat!' Bit embarrassing but come on, don't be dicks people! Angry

My feet are so sore and swollen - pic attached!

Going to let DH run around after me while I watch bake off - big fan here too!

Good news on scan leonie and may! Sorry you're not a bit further along hep but a heartbeat is a great sign. EDD not very accurate that early - I had a couple of early scans because of bleeding and every time the date changed until 12 weeks.

Is anyone doing perineal massage? I think pink mentioned you were doing it? After bunch and her stitches stories I bought some oil today and am game! Any errr tips are welcome! Blush

I also got some arnica tablets - recommended by friends for post birth healing. You're apparently supposed to take them before labour and afterwards. Who knows if they help but my head has been in the sand about giving birth for too long!

Thread #10 - TTC#1 Grads Thread - Babies Ahoy
Sodasoda · 24/08/2016 18:37

Re constipation - I was doing ok until I was put on iron tablets at around 16 weeks. They prescribed me lactulose at same time as the iron tablets so I knew it was going to be bad. I just feel so gross all the time!

BunchOfBobs · 24/08/2016 18:43

I CANNOT wait for bake off woohoo.
DH is home, we survived.

Aww bless that man soda. Utter sods for it taking that though.

Haha soda though remember my stitches aren't from tearing but from an episiotomy. No amount of massage could have stopped that happening. I forgot to take my arnica until 2 days postnatal. Swollen feet been there, it does go down really quick afterwards at least. They give you some proper sexy compression stockings in hospital.

Sodasoda · 24/08/2016 18:50

Well done for surviving bunch you're doing amazing!

The midwife advised me to wear flight stockings 'under my trousers' to help my feet. Errrr - it's 30 degrees! I will not be wearing trousers never mind tight socks as well!! Angry

mayago · 24/08/2016 19:38

I'm also excited for bake off! I've never followed it properly before, but decided it's a must this year. One of the previous winners lives around the corner from me.

Bunch my OH hasn't warmed to the idea yet, so no way would he be washing nappies. He's really queasy on the idea of poo going in the washing machine; he has a lot to learn! His mother had three under 18 months in cloth nappies at the same time, and she was a single mum at that point! Shock

Feef legally I have until the 24th September to alert my employer so I'll qualify for paid mat leave. Fingers crossed for the viewings on Saturday!

Soda your poor feet! Does drinking more than usual do anything for swelling? I can't imagine flight socks would be very comfortable, even if you could ignore how they look!
