Cross post with you Cosmo. Sorry it didn't go as well as hoped today. Its good that you are going to have regular scans though so they can keep monitoring baby's growth. Did they say why baby might be on the smaller/shorter side?

PotatosMum · 15/08/2016 20:08

Bunch sounds like you got the best of both worlds with the parents Smile

Lisa my OH can nap at the drop of a hat too, I have to be utterly exhausted.

I like Quinn for a girl or a boy, I don't think it's too out there at all.

Leonie I can't believe your sister is only 4cm. Here's hoping things speed up a bit.

Shelb I had a couple of BH this morning then nothing until they started up again about an hour ago and I've had a few since then.
How are your period type pains, still hanging around?

Elle glad all was well with the midwife Smile

FIL has gone now, OH helped finish off the dinner and dish up. I'm still pooped and curled up on the sofa. Bed time soon I think.
FIL has stopped insisting on doing stuff for me thank goodness but he was lecturing me on not mowing the lawn until just before it rains or apparently I'll kill all the grass... FILs grass has been taken over by wild flowers and weeds so I'm a little reluctant to trust him. Confused

There's no obvious cause they can see on the scans Pink. Everything is the right shape and each bone is generally in proportion. The most likely cause is just the baby no being very tall but they need to monitor him to check he keeps on growing. There are other more worrying potential causes but we wouldn't know if that's the case until he's born. On the positive side, we got a 4d scan on the NHS.

PotatosMum · 15/08/2016 20:14

Cosmo fingers crossed baby is fine. When's your next scan? How many weeks are you now?

Pink congrats on 28 weeks tomorrow. That makes 3 of us at this stage Shock with you on the, every twinge making you wonder.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's the two week wait all over again! Hmm

Pink I'm feeling a smidge better stitches wise hopefully that's the antibiotics working, but I feel more drained overall.
I'm in shock too with how much weight was water and baby etc.

New will have been induced by now if nothing professed on its own due to risk of infection after waters have gone. Positive thoughts being sent your way New. I've been thinking of you all day.
This time last week I was in early labour and contracting every 9mins. Gosh it flies by!

Co5mo they're doing the right thing keeping an eye on you both. Woop to the 4d freebie.

Not only does he look the snuggliest most gorgeous thing ever but also look at the coordination! And all done from bossing people around from my bed Grin The love of monochrome is strong Smile

Thanks Potato. I'm 31+4 today. Next scan is on 8th September so just over three weeks away.

shelbTa · 15/08/2016 20:21

Hi everyone

That can't be easy Cosmo as all - keep us updated.

Pink, potato - felt crampy all day but mainly just RESTLESS!! Like crazy restless - I've been for four walks today, four. Feel like it could be a long few weeks for us three, definitely two week wait again!

X

leoniethelioness · 15/08/2016 20:24

Co5mo Hope you and baby are OK. Glad they're keeping an eye on you.

DSis is now 8 cm so through drip seems to have accelerated things in the last few hours. Maybe a niece or nephew by midnight! My mum thinks 16.8.16 would be a nice day to be born though, lol.

leoniethelioness · 15/08/2016 20:26

Bunch Atticus looks so cute in his Sleepyhead. Not sure I quite understand how baby will fit in it as he grows though. It looks very snug. I like that you can have him on the sofa next to you.

Danni89 · 15/08/2016 20:29

He is the cutest bunch! Loving the coordination

Sorry to hear your growth scan was a bit of a nightmare cosmo, but glad you're booked in for more scans to keep an eye on it

potato the old owners defo sound dodgy, such a pain you've had to pay out for British Gas tooAngry

Really excited to hear about new!

I'm only 36 weeks but been having period pains on and off for 3 weeks now- they're not braxton hicks are they?

Pinklily1 · 15/08/2016 20:33

Bunch, he looks so cute and funky in that outfit Smile

Patience is not one of my strong points Potato and Shelb, so the next two weeks are going to kill me I think.

Comso, fingers crossed for your next scan. Its good that its not too far away.

Leonie, that's good progress, hopefully she'll have a baby today!

PotatosMum · 15/08/2016 21:17

Bunch he looks adorable!!!

Cosmo hopefully your scan in three weeks will show everything catching up. They do change a lot in a really short time and at least they're keeping an eye on it. A lot of the time they just monitor to be on the safe side. I'll keep everything crossed.

Shelb restless might be good. Some people get a burst of energy just before labour to help with prep... I definitely do not have that! Smile

Shelb, Pink Nice that there's 3 of us doing the wait within days of each other, misery loves company Wink

Leonie yay for sisters progress Smile

Dannie could be BH. Do they happen mostly when you're sat or lead down? My early BH felt like period pains.

Loving the misery loves company comment Potato, so true Grin

Pinklily1 · 15/08/2016 22:15

Quick question, for those who are using exercise/ pregnancy balls, are you just rolling from side to side and back and forth on them, or are you meant to bounce as well? I'm not finding mine massively comfortable Hmm

LisaTheSimpson · 15/08/2016 22:23

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the honest responses about the name. It's more positive than I thought, so I'll have a think about it and ruminate on it a while...

Bunch - Atticus looks so cool in his monochrome and orange stuff! Love how coordinated you are. Also, amazed by the 15kg - that's awesome, and I hope you feel so much more comfortable for it (once the stitches are better, obviously).

Fingers crossed for a niece or nephew soon, Leonie! Your poor sister sounds like she's having a bit of a time of it.

Hope everything goes ok with the next scan, Co5mo. Is your OH short as well, or just you? Sounds promo

LisaTheSimpson · 15/08/2016 22:23

.....Sounds promising that all the proportions are right, though.

(Sorry, hit 'Post' too soon)

Danni89 · 15/08/2016 22:31

I'm sort of doing a combination of everything pink, my OH must think I look mad lol

shelbTa · 15/08/2016 22:54

Pink - I'm doing a combination too. Are you on mat leave now?

It's so hot!!!! I'm hungry, hot and restless Blush

X

PotatosMum · 16/08/2016 06:28

Morning ladies, how are you doing today?

Pink I'm more of a bouncer on my ball.

Leonie any news on your niece/nephew?

Hope New is ok, wonder if we'll be seeing pictures of a new thread baby today Smile

I was woken up by period type pains in the top of my bump but they seem to have gone now. Potato has been informed that she's not to make an appearance today as I'm having the Internet installed later. Without it we don't even have TV Confused

Pink, Shelb how are you two feeling this morning?

Co5mo · 16/08/2016 06:41

Thanks everyone. DH os 5'9 so not really short but not tall either Lisa. I've kind of resigned myself to a labour ward delivery now - can't see us getting away with the midwife led unit if there's any risk baby might need support even if it is only very small.

Any news Leonie?

Itching for an update from New.

leoniethelioness · 16/08/2016 07:37

I have a nephew! 8 lbs 9 oz. Born in theatre this morning due to a forceps delivery and presenting himself as back to back. Sister lost quite a lot of blood but said she has been well cared for. She sounds very positive and relaxed on the phone, and delighted with her new arrival. Welcome to the world, baby Isaac! I can't wait to meet him now xxx

shelbTa · 16/08/2016 07:43

Morning! (Since 5am...)

Congrats leonie!

Potato - yeah keep your legs crossed until you have broadband!! Ok thanks, just very nauseous and have back ache and some kind of cold coming - it's got to be a uti, at midwife this aft.

Mileymoocow · 16/08/2016 08:03

Morning!

pink I have an ear and throat infection Hmm I have antibiotics to take and I know they're safe but I still feel guilty for having them. Thanks for asking Smile

What are people doing for back ache? I can't get comfortable with mine at all. Standing hurts, sitting hurts, lying down hurts...

Congratulations leonie!! Well done to your sister!!

bunch I love his monochrome! He has got to be the most stylish little boy eye 😍

Mileymoocow · 16/08/2016 08:05

Eye?! That was supposed to say ever. Not impressed with my phones software update - typing is hard Angry

shelbTa · 16/08/2016 08:07

Miley - walking and getting on the bouncy ball thing really helps my back. That and moaning!!
