You looked lovely miley 💐🍦👑

shelbTa · 14/08/2016 16:05

You look ace miley! X

Planeteer · 14/08/2016 16:14

Eeek new!! This is v exciting. Can't believe the babies are starting to arrive. Hope you're feeling as relaxed as possible and that little one doesn't keep you waiting long. Can't wait to hear exciting updates.

Miley you look flipping gorgeous!! That colour is brilliant on you. I have a wedding next sat and am hoping a hastily bought maternity dress from Jojo Maman Bebe will do the job. Did you cope in heels yday?

Audrey I reckon go get looked at just in case. Always better to be told 'go away you're fine' than risk anything. Hope you're not too sore, you poor thing!

Potato reckon you're next in the baby queue. So flipping exciting!

Feefeefs · 14/08/2016 16:26

Yay new!!!

Oh bunch sorry about your stitches hope it clears up no bother!!

You look great miley!

You next potato!

I'm having an enforced lazy day but finding it difficult to not feel guilty about it! Should be doing something...

Tried knitting but messed up! Now need to unpick 3-4 rows Sad

Danni89 · 14/08/2016 16:35

Yay good luck new!

You look great miley!

Newmrs22 · 14/08/2016 16:43

Saw midwife who confirmed waters had gone by looking at my pad. That was reassuring as I had slight irrational fear is been wetting myself Grin

Baby seems happy, but I'll have to go to labour ward tomorrow morning unless labour has properly started for more monitoring, antibiotics and possible induction. Not keen so hoping things progress naturally before then.

I've still got period pain and back ache. I'm assuming when contractions start I'll know Wink I'm attemping a little nap just in case I don't sleep for a while.

potato they went this morning about 10 mins after getting out of bed. I don't think I felt a pop. I was just sitting eating my breakfast.

Bunch sorry to hear about your stitches!

Newmrs22 · 14/08/2016 16:43

Miley you look lovely!

Mileymoocow · 14/08/2016 17:16

Aw thank you all! Very sweet.

planet I did manage a couple of hours, but changed into flats approximately 10 minutes after this photo was taken!

new yay for definite waters and that you're not incontinent!

IndiX · 14/08/2016 17:32

Miley you look so gorgeous! And I don't think you look fat or swollen.

New hope things start to get going soon! I'm so excited for you.

Bunch I'm sorry to hear about your stitches but at least you'll be on the mend soon after antibiotics.

Just back from the baby shower. Am I the only one that finds baby chat/small talk really boring? I find myself zoning out a bit and doing a stupid fake smile/laugh. Maybe I'll be more in to baby talk when I actually have my own. Apart from that it was a nice afternoon, the mum to be is 3 weeks ahead of me, she has a perfectly round beach ball Bump...I don't have a round Bump at all. More of a gut. Everyone was commenting how nice her bump was and I got the odd 'oh well you're very... neat' translation 'you just look a bit bloated/chunky'Hmm she did look lovely though and her family and friends were nice, I'm now stuffed with afternoon tea so going to have a lazy evening with DH on the couch.

leoniethelioness · 14/08/2016 17:34

Good luck, New! xxx

HepKestrel · 14/08/2016 17:53

miley you look amazing ! (plus, your a real person ! Wink)
New good luck!

Mileymoocow · 14/08/2016 18:26

Haha hep yeah I'm outed good and proper now! A lot of us have instagram, if you have it feel free to post your name if you're comfortable! We like to do a lot of baby posts!

indi I don't mind the baby talk as much but it definitely gets tedious hearing the same thing over and over! I had a lot of cuddles off my cousins little girl yesterday and all I heard was "it'll be you soon, get the practise in", "get her nappy changed", "you're a natural" etc etc! Your bump sounds like mine. OH described it as a mountain with 2 titties sitting on the top!! How rude Shock mine does start under my boobs though so he is right.

Pinklily1 · 14/08/2016 18:39

Eeek, New, just catching up on today's thread and I see your news - so exciting! Hope you are feeling ok and that baby makes a speedy entrance. Silly question, but if there was no pop, how did you know your waters had gone (this is what i'm bizarrely most worried about!). Were you clearly wet? Sorry for personal questions Blush.

Potato, I know what you mean about just wanting to get on with things now. You're next in line, then I think I am, but who knows when we will all pop Grin

Sorry to hear about your stitches Bunch. Hopefully the antibiotics will work quickly. I'll have a look at sleep bras.

Miley, you look lovely! I'm so impressed you wore heels at all! If I make it to the wedding that i'm meant to go to the day before my due date, i'm pretty sure I'll be wearing flats.

Feefs, i can't even cast on. I'm fine once someone starts it off for me, but I just have never mastered the beginning bit Hmm

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 18:47

Miley you look lovely.

New thanks for the info Smile I hope you progress naturally over night!

Indi yup, I find baby talk very dull. That might change when I have one of my own but one of my friends excitedly offered to get together for baby talk the other day and I just thought, nope, nope, nope -polite smile-

So, lots of BH today and my back is really aching. I had to go for a nap at 4 and only just got up again. So tired Sad

Mileymoocow · 14/08/2016 18:58

potato could it be??? No...no, I must jinx it. But it certainly sounds promising!!!!!

pink they were a tad painful and I'm sure I looked like I'd poo'd myself the way I was walking (my centre of balance has quite clearly changed) but I'd had that many alterations done I couldn't bare to ask the seamstress to take any length off the bottom as well! It's a shame for it to have to basically go straight in the bin but it'll never fit anyone else I shouldn't imagine. If I was a day before my due date there's not a chance in hell I'd be in heels.

shelbTa · 14/08/2016 19:01

Indi - yeah it was one of my biggest annoyances with the pregnancy to be honest, a constant carousel of chat, same questions, same answers.

Get your head down again potato - get all the sleep you can!

I'm very very restless today, and nauseous.

X

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 19:14

I don't think it's anything to get excited about ladies, I'm sure it's nothing interesting going on. But I am just making dinner then I'm going straight back to bed!

Poor OH is hanging DSSs mural all by himself. He's worked so hard and I've been next to useless Sad

Shelb hope the restlessness and nausea sods off for you or maybe it's a symptom Wink

How long should a first booking appt take? I grabbed the earliest one available, but it means we will late to a family celebration.... And we don't want to tell them why we will be late ...

IndiX · 14/08/2016 19:25

Glad it's not just me who is bored of the baby small talk. Don't get me wrong I love chatting about it on here because we're all new to it and all in the same boat but I reeealllyyyy don't want to hear about other people's unwanted nightmare labour stories, their advice on sleeping/teething/feeding routines or told to 'get rest while you can' etc. Sorry rant over Grin

Potato I really hope things are going to get going for you soon, get to bed and chill. OH can cope with some diy/decorating alone I'm sure Wink

Hep my booking in was about 30mins and the mid wife was about 10 mins late. I'd give yourself 45mins tbh.

Feefeefs · 14/08/2016 19:38

The "rest while you can" chat really annoys me indi like obviously I've not been through it all before but I can understand the basics of it being horribly tiring and anxiety ridden but someone repeatedly telling you the same stuff is very tiring.

Not great at the baby chat either.

Mileymoocow · 14/08/2016 19:46

The "rest while you can" annoys me, too! Imagine actually being able to rest comfortably? Do these people not remember being pregnant?!

Newmrs22 · 14/08/2016 19:49

pink it was pouring out. Literally running down my legs. What I didn't expect is that it is still coming Out every now and again now! I've used about 6 maternity pads today.

Canters15 · 14/08/2016 19:53

Eeeeeek new!! Good luck, hope labour starts soon and all goes smoothly.

Sorry about your stitches bunch, sounds painful.

miley you look gorgeous! Not frumpy at all.

Yes I feel the same way about the baby chat. I like it to a certain extent then I just get really freaked out. I am hoping my nct group will be people like me who want to talk a bit about what to do with the small people but have other interests too. I feel a bit afraid of losing myself by having a baby, have seen it happen to other people and don't want to ever stop being who I am now. Bit deep for a Sunday evening!

Went for a lovely walk this afternoon to a place I liked to do a 2 hour hike pre baby...last did it about 10 weeks ago and am amazed at the change in my physical state, could only manage an hour, was so short of breath and got a couple of what I think were Brixton hicks! So we retired to the pub Grin

leoniethelioness · 14/08/2016 20:17

Final NCT class today done. One of the girls is going to start a WhatsApp group for us once the course leader circulates our numbers. She's encouraging us to find a day to get together before baby and stick with it afterwards. One of the girls is having such a difficult pregnancy - fluid loss, etc. Makes my PGP pale in comparison - it's awful but not dangerous to the baby. Been lying on my side on the sofa since we got home. DH has made me a hot water bottle but my coccyx is so sore and my pelvis so achy.

No signs of my niece or nephew. Induction sounds like a lot of waiting around. She had a pessary yesterday at 2, a different one at 2.30 today, but nothing yet. She's waiting to find out if they will break her waters or if they are going to stop the interventions and give her a rest day tomorrow. Either way it doesn't sound like she's going home until the baby arrives and the induction means she's now classed as high risk so baby needs to be monitored by a heart rate monitor throughout labour. It all sounds like a nightmare to me but they must think it is for the best with her worries about movements and general anxieties.

leoniethelioness · 14/08/2016 20:19

New Think I'll pick up some more maternity pads then...!
