Congrats and welcome Hep!!

I'm the sleepyhead is incredible. I've just had to wake Atticus to feed him as my boobs are killing me. I've been asleep 3 hours, DH 2 because he stayed up watching the athletics. £125 worth every penny!!!!!

Ouch Audrey hope it's okay.

Ni i bought a heartstrings umbilical cord tie and when I told her about the birth she recommended them. The cooling relief is amazing but obviously doesn't last all that long.

Sorry you're disappointed canters hopefully next time baby won't be using your placenta as a pillow.

shelbTa · 14/08/2016 05:23

Ouch Audrey, sounds nasty. Agree with ringing NHS

Bunch - yey to it working!! It looks so tiny the 0-8 month one though, I had visions of mine being too small!

Waves to everyone.

Uhhh, think I've got yet another uti - lower backache and nausea, my usual symptoms, are here.

X

shelbTa · 14/08/2016 05:57

Oh - and whoever talked about Soreen on here recently damn you - I'm now eating it by the tonne it's so delicious!!!!

X

BunchOfBobs · 14/08/2016 07:17

Sorry Shelb would be me.
*

  • Just had another 2 hours sleep and me waking him for a feed though he was stirring.

Honesty it's amazing, all hail the sleepyhead!!

leoniethelioness · 14/08/2016 08:21

And me. I have it for my second breakfast. 😶😶😶

ElleSarcasmo · 14/08/2016 08:43

Thanks so much for the cot pictures Bunch, that's exactly what I was picturing. We have a wooden frame bed so the zip ties would probably work ok here too. If not I guess we'd end up with a cot after they grow out of the snuzpod/next to me so it wouldn't be a waste. Definitely buying a sleepyhead too! Am I right in thinking you can just pop them on a sofa in the sleepyhead without a Moses basket?

Congratulations and welcome Hep! You must be in shock Flowers

Mmm want some soreen now Shelb! Hope you can get your UTI sorted quickly.

Sorry about your scan Canters. Hope you're not too disappointed and the two weeks go by quickly.

Thanks Soda, we don't need to lug it upstairs but I am a bit weedy. We have been offered a travel system for friends so may not need to buy one but I'd still like to pick one out in case we do.

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 09:01

Bunch that's great news about your bits being back to normal... Must be slightly odd having people so interested in your foof Shock

Leonie I hope things go well with your sister and she doesn't find the hospital stay too distressing.

Danni congrats on 36 weeks. I can't speak for anyone else but for me yep, the last few weeks have gone on and on and on Sad they also get increasingly uncomfortable and nerve wracking as you start to worry about everything being early labour signs... So err, yeh, cheery times ahead Confused

Indi can I order one of those 4hour labours with no pain please? Grin

Welcome Hep of course you can join Grin they'll probably discuss dating at your booking in appointment next week and decide then what to do. Some of the tests are time sensitive so if your in any doubt push for a dating scan.
I still have my positive pee sticks from 9 months ago and have no inclination to throw them away Wink

Pink keep an eye on the headache and spacedoutness and if it keeps coming back get up to MLU as it can be a sign of preeclampsia.

Audrey oh no! I'd call the midwife about the dog bite. They'll probably want to put you on a Monroe for good measure.

Canters yup, enjoy your foof while you can see it, I can't remember when mine disappeared but it was ages ago. Sad
Sorry about the scan disappointment but at least you have another to look forward to.

Planet yay to nearly being on mat leave Grin

Shelb no to UTI Sad that sucks!

Right, must get up and support OHs painting efforts by sitting on a chair in the doorway talking at him Grin

Co5mo · 14/08/2016 10:01

How's the bite Audrey?

Soreen is calling from the cupboard right now. Must stay strong!

Baby washing day today. Now to see what I've actually bought and what I still need to get or knit. Now to work out how to hang teeny tiny clothes on a washing line.

IndiX · 14/08/2016 10:02

Morning ladies,

I know I want to sign up for the 4 hour labour. I found out that this is her SECOND easy labour (she already has an 18 month little boy) and she's really pretty. I think I hate her a little bit...Grin

Hep congratulations!!! Any questions ask away.

Bloody hell Audrey! Yeah maybe call the midwife, I'm sure you'll be fine but always worth giving them a ring.

I'm really interested in the Sleepyhead now bunch! I might have a look on eBay and see if there's any deals to be had. I'm borrowing a Chico from a friend but I've heard a lot about sleepyheads. I might have a look online.

I have my friend's baby shower this afternoon, she is due 3 weeks before me. If she goes over by a week and I get my c section a week early we'll basically have babies on the same daySmile
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday

Feefeefs · 14/08/2016 10:34

Glad to hear about the SPD/PGP being gone bunch and will have to look at this sleepyhead! The reviews online are very good. That's reassuring too about looking the same down below.

Eek new! Hope thing get going for you!!!

Congrats on the new phone leonie!! Hopefully helps to keep you entertained!

Sorry about the pain indi I've been a bit quiet on here as hips, back, pelvic pain very back this week think because we've been doing more running around with the house hunting etc. Trying to have a relaxing weekend.

Lovely pics stardrey.

Sorry about your hips pink but at least you know you've got an end in sight!

I would be annoyed by that too potato

We're not having any more planned scan either ni I didn't enjoy my early private scan and NHS ones have been so much nicer and better so just sticking with that. I don't mind not seeing it yet as getting plenty of kicking!!

Very exciting hep!!i still have two pee stick and 23 weeks now! Blush

Pinklily1 · 14/08/2016 10:58

Sorry to hear the scan was disappointing Canters. Hopefully baby will be better behaved for the next one.

We haven't had a scan since 20 weeks either. Getting very excited to meet baby soon Smile

Potato, pre-eclampsia did cross my mind. I feel fine today but will keep an eye on it. I've got a midwife appointment on Wednesday so I will mention it then too.

Bunch, it sounds like the Sleephead thing is working a treat! Does Atticus sleep much during the day?

I forgot to ask - did your nursing bras fit when your milk came in? I got fitted at Mothercare and told to go a cup size up, but just interested to see if what you bought before Atticus arrived fitted ok?

Audrey, how's the bite? Was it a big dog?

Indi, enjoy the baby shower!

Hi Ni!

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 11:24

Gah! I feel like I'm back in the two week wait Confused every time I get a BH or a funny feeling in my tummy I start wondering if it's labour starting.

Quite honestly I think I just want to get on with it now Hmm

Newmrs22 · 14/08/2016 11:25

Sorry for the me, me, me post but... Waters have gone! Slight period pain and back ache but no proper contractions yet. I'm waiting it out for another couple of hours then have to go in for monitoring. Midwife said if proper labour hasn't started after 24 hours they recommend induction because of infection risk. Eek!

IrregularCommentary · 14/08/2016 11:31

Oooh, that's so exciting New - another thread baby! Hope it all properly starts up quickly for you.

IndiX · 14/08/2016 11:38

Omg good luck new!! I hope things get moving quickly.

AudreyBradshaw · 14/08/2016 11:50

Omg another thread baby! Good luck new 👍🎉💐🍦🎂🎊

And potato I have a feeling you're going to in labour really soon! All the little niggles must mean something!

I've also heard wonderful things about the sleepyhead! And such good news about the spd disappearing bunch

Baby was the same for ours canters face on to the anterior placenta, kept having to jiggle over, we only have a few good pics. The video was worth it though.

Welcome hep have you considered maybe booking a private scan for this week just to see if you can make any sense of dates? How exciting!

It was only a small bulldog pink flat face but sharp teeth and claws lol. Bite looks like it's settled now but the scratch is sore! And it's bruised. Tried midwife earlier but no joy. Going to set my dad on the task as I haven't actually told dh yet ad I fear he'll hit the roof with panic and he's currently sparkout asleep. Hmmm.

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 12:16

New OMG, OMG, OMG!!! So exciting!!!! jealous Wink

Audrey I'd get yourself up to the maternity day clinic. Trust me, they'd rather you did than not.

Newmrs22 · 14/08/2016 12:41

Nothing much yet! Definitely no proper contractions just period pain. I have to ring up the midwife again in an hour. Just trying to chill out and eat and drink normally. Hoping things ramp up soonish

BunchOfBobs · 14/08/2016 13:07

Pink he just sleeps and eats. I got nursing sleep bras in the end so just sized small, medium.m, large so I could wait until milk came in and I'm mobile enough to go get measured.

Eek new that's so exciting!! How did your go? Mine went with a proper pop and gush.
Eat lots and nap nap nap!! You don't want 3 days of no sleep. So excited for you. Atticus will have a thread friend Grin

Turns out I've opened my wound a smidge (though no need to restitch) and potentially have an infection. My stitch pain the last 2 days has been much worse- that shouldn't happen and after midwife checked me over she spotted the gape. Stronger pain killers and anti biotics are on their way. It makes me feel so much better knowing the pain isn't normal. I was in tears after today's shower Sad but I'll be fixed soon woohoo!!

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 13:07

New keep us updated, I'm sure im not the only one coming on every 10 minutes to see how you're progressing Grin

Hope things start moving for you soon!

LaraG13 · 14/08/2016 13:10

Oh how exciting - good luck new!! Can't wait to hear your updates.

Thank you so much for the updates and honest info bunch. I've found them really reassuring and helpful. I'm really glad things are going well for you. And I'm definitely getting the sleepyhead!

Sorry to hear some of you are in pain - leonie, indi, feef. I've just started getting lower back pain this week. It's going to be a long 10 weeks ahead!

Welcome and congrats hep!

PotatosMum · 14/08/2016 13:17

Bunch sorry to hear you have an infection, and you were doing so well Sad hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick and you'll be feeling much better soon.

New do you mind me asking when/where your waters broke? I read that if they go first it's most likely to be as you're getting out of bed in the night but I guess that yours went during the day?

Mileymoocow · 14/08/2016 14:47

Hi everyone! Been busy on here the past day! Will catch up but from what I can gather we have another little bubba on the way! Sooooo exciting new!!!

Yesterday was brilliant, everything went well. Got a bit fed up of the 'fat' and 'swollen' comments by the drunk people. Mostly my grandad and uncle Hmm but really enjoyed myself. Was on the go from 8am til 11.30pm so my back was sore and I was absolutely exhausted. Taking it easy today, I'm still really tired so I think a Sunday afternoon nap is on the cards Grin Anyway, thank you for all the well wishes and here is a photo of the dress as promised (you can't really see the panels either!). The bust was too big, the hips hung a bit funny but I was comfortable and that's all that counts when you're 32 weeks pregnant. I have noticed such a change in the shape of my face, however... it's so round and chubby! Shock
