Leonie, i got a tankini from JoJo Maman Bebe which I have packed. I've also packed a bikini from Asda. Not entirely sure why I think I need two, but hey ho Hmm

Its good that you have no possible overlap of names!

Bunch, woo hoo for the muff viewing Grin. Has your tummy gone down or is it still about the same size? I've no idea how quickly 'bump' goes. How are you finding sitting down with the stitches? I may get some tea tree oil in just in case.

Soda, hope the NCT class tomorrow is better than last weeks. I was pondering a bikini wax but am managing to tend to my nether regions still so I'm not going to brave a wax I don't think. I used to have them regularly but haven't had one for about two years so I don't think i'd be used to them anymore.

BunchOfBobs · 13/08/2016 20:22

Pink it's gone down loads, it changed throughout labour which the midwife and DH had fun giggling at. It's a proper jelly belly. If solid I'd say 5 months preggo but I could probably squish it down not to be seen too much - not happening of course, I live in underwear and pjs. In the hospital though I did manage to knock a hug of water over with my "bump" as I forgot it was still there.

I find its good to change between sitting and laying else it all stiffens up, I have a donut cushion though which has literally saved my life.

leoniethelioness · 13/08/2016 20:36

Woohoo, Bunch!

We looked at the Sleepyhead in John Lewis today. Does Atticus like it? How does he fit in it? Are they safe for overnight sleeping?

Will look in Jo Jo Maman Bebe. Someone else has mentioned Mothercare to me too.

Soda We've got our last class tomorrow too. Just took two co-codamol for the first time - been trying to get by on just one - in part in anticipation of the pain I'll be in tomorrow from sitting down all day!

No sign of my niece or nephew. Sister's boyfriend has been sent home for the night too so she's feeling a bit anxious. Nothing really happening yet other than backache and period pain.

PotatosMum · 13/08/2016 20:37

After this conversation the Hoover will now be emptied immediately if I suck up a spider -shudder-

Sounds like stabby foof is a good sign. Good! I just can't wait to get this baby out so I can do things like bend over again!!! Confused

Bunch I find it immensely reassuring that you can see your foof so soon lol. Hope the stitches feel better after you bath.

Soda I'm with you on the burning feet. OH did most of the work today but I feel like I did Confused

Good luck for the NTC class. Hope it goes well Smile

Pink I'm jealous of you being able to tend your nether regions. I can barely reach mine forget about seeing it Blush

DSSs room is about half finished and I've just been told that he might be moving in next weekend... I had hoped it would be delayed until a couple of weeks after Potato's born. I'm a bit nervous about it to be honest but I was the one who agreed to it in the first place and it makes sense for him to move in before the end of the holidays. Just means no more prancing around the house semi-naked... Only joking, I don't prance Wink

Potato - I can't see them, but am just very carefully shaving and hoping to avoid any mishaps. Its definitely not neat though Blush.

Leonie, they've sent him home? Presumably they will call him back in if things start happening?!

Co5mo · 13/08/2016 20:55

Hurrah for the visible muff Bunch.

Strategically placed mirrors and an electric muff tamer in use here. Not as tidy as it would usually be but acceptable enough.

BunchOfBobs · 13/08/2016 20:56

Bath was bliss.even had a brave moment and had a look at the carnage below. I look as I always did. What the actual F?! I thought it would be inside out or something. I can't even see my episiotomy, neither can DH. I'm amazed and chuffed.

My boobs are almost bigger than my leftover bump now, I think I look more like I did at 20 weeks. Just lower and very very soft.

Atticus has been asleep in his sleepyhead for the last 2 hours Shock. It's amazing. Yes they're safe for overnight sleeping Leonie. He's currently next to me on the bed in it Grin hope your sister has an easy night of it.

leoniethelioness · 13/08/2016 21:12

Pink Yes, they'll call him back then. I think she's on a general maternity assessment ward so it's not a private delivery room where he could stay. One of the other mums to be apparently has no teeth, keeps coughing and DSis has seen her outside smoking. 🤔 She's just got period-type pains and not much else right now. The midwife will check on her about half nine so hopefully there will be some process with the pessary. Apparently the pessary can stay in for 24 hours so I'm guessing it's a slow release thing. I think she's a bit worried as she has never had to stay in hospital overnight and there are lots of unfamiliar sounds.

Bunch Please let me know your verdict on the Sleepyhead tomorrow! And awesome news about your nether regions - I've not seen mine in ages. Even looking below the bump in a mirror is impossible. I've just developed faint stretch marks at the bottom of my bump but I can't inspect them properly at all... Probably for the best!

IndiX · 13/08/2016 21:28

Bunch amazing news of your bits! That's so reassuring that you look the same as before, I definitely have a bit of a stitches phobia though! So good to hear Atticus is feeding and sleeping better, I hope it stays that way.

Grooming wise I'm still ok shaving atm, however it's getting a bit harder to do it in the shower due to the angles andBlush. I find the bath much easier to manoeuvre.

Leonie your poor sister, hope things start happening soon and her OH can get to her ASAP.

I didn't go to spin today, I ended up catching up with a few friends and their babies. Was a nice afternoon even though at some points I did slightly zone out with baby talkConfused

Danni89 · 13/08/2016 21:30

Good to hear good things about the sleepyhead so far bunch and yay to seeing foof and belly going down

Hope the 2nd part of your NCT course is enjoyable soda/leonie

36 weeks tomorrow- got a feeling these last 4 weeks are gonna draggg

IndiX · 13/08/2016 21:34

Btw thought I'd share a positive birth story..a girl I know went in to labour last night at 11pm ( on her due date), waters broke at 3am and baby was born 3.30am this morning. No pain relief and no stitches!

HepKestrel · 13/08/2016 21:40

Hi, can I join?
Joined the TTC thread in Feb, and still a bit stunned with my bfp this week. No idea how far gone I am. Possibly 12 or even 16 weeks. Multiple bfn including blood test since last "AF" in may.

Haven't thrown the pee-stick away yet ( is that grim?), as it is the only evidence I trust that the blood test was wrong.

Danni89 · 13/08/2016 21:45

Omg that labour story sounds amazing indi.. If only we could all be that lucky

Welcome and congratulations Hep!! So are they sending you in for a scan to find out exactly how far along you are??

Pinklily1 · 13/08/2016 21:51

That sounds amazing Indi! I'll have one of those births please!

Welcome and congratulations Hep! Don't worry about keeping the pee sticks. I'm almost 38 weeks and still have one of my tests GrinBlush Have you not had a period then since May?

Has anyone in the later stages had periods of feeling really spaced out? I had a banging headache this morning and like I was totally detached from reality, it was very strange. I've been fine all afternoon though.

AudreyBradshaw · 13/08/2016 21:53

Been so busy this weekend, catching up on the thread now. So many exciting happenings going on.

A dog bit my bump, ouch. Small puncture marks, big scratch and I think it's going to bruise, looked worse before I'd cleaned it up. My Dad says if it goes manky he'll take me to a&e in the morning. Should I be concerned? It hurt like balls. Still stinging.

HepKestrel · 13/08/2016 22:05

Thanks pink danni
Yes, last AF was may, but it was a lighter than normal and my our timing with DTD was so bad that month, that I am suspicious it may be IB.

Have first appt next week. Was the earliest appt available. Don't know what to expect, but don't think I'll have scan at first "booking" appt? This is all new to me.

Have already needed new bra and can no longer wear belts with my jeans....

Ouch starky , sure its fine, but best get it looked it to make sure no infection.

leoniethelioness · 13/08/2016 22:09

Hi, Hep!

I have two of mine too. 😶😶😶😶 My mum has given me lots of childhood photos and records, etc. including my first pair of shoes and her pregnancy test. I thought it was weird but quite cool, this first ever acknowledgment of me. Mine are shoved in the back of a drawer but I should put them somewhere. I'm coming up to 34 weeks.

Co5mo · 13/08/2016 22:16

Ouch. Audrey if you weren't pregnant and it wasn't you bump I'd say don't worry but I think if I were you I'd ring NHS 111 now for advice. It depends how bad it is but you may need antibiotics to stop it becoming infected and if you've not had your whooping cough vaccine yet you might need a tetanus shot (the whooping cough vaccine has tetanus in it too). Just one question... how did that happen???

Hep congratulations. DH binned my one and only positive pissy stick a week ago (at 30 weeks). He couldn't quite believe I still had it but I think it's quite common for us to hang on to them.

I'll book a labour like that thanks Indi

Any news from your DS Leonie? I have a multiple mirror set up in our bathroom to be able to tame my muff. DH moved them yesterday...don't think he'll be doing that again.

Canters15 · 13/08/2016 22:36

I don't know why but it hadn't occurred to me before now that my foof would disappear! When should I expect this to happen? And hurrah for seeing yours again bunch! I'm sure the rush of love will come soon, and it's quite reassuring to hear that it hasn't happened for you immediately, I think it is very normal for it to take a while.

Disappointing afternoon at the scan, baby had his face squished up against my anterior placenta so couldnt make out anything. We've to go back in 2 weeks to try again, but feeling a bit disheartened now, plus the sonographer was quite rough. It's only 13 weeks until I meet him though!

AudreyBradshaw · 13/08/2016 22:47

It was my cousin's dog co5mo it got over excited, barged me and headbutted me in the bump but then jumped up again and scratched me and bit me on the second bounce. I can't see it really because it's on the underside of my bump but it's sore. Ive had a shufty in a mirror but i get the feeling that's it will be ok. That's really awesome advice, thank you, I'd not thought of nhs direct! And I never knew that about the whooping cough vaccine!

Ni4444 · 13/08/2016 23:06

Bunch the padsicles sound interesting! Where on earth did you hear about that idea?! Let us know if it works! Very relieving to hear that all is looking good down below! 👍

Ni4444 · 13/08/2016 23:07

Ps hi Hep! Welcome to the grads! Grin

Ni4444 · 13/08/2016 23:09

Ps Audrey that's such terrible luck to be bitten, and on your bump! Hope you get some reassurance from 111 and that it all heals up quick xx

Planeteer · 13/08/2016 23:20

Guys!!! I'm so sorry for having gone AWOL for blimmin' ages. Crikey I have loads to catch up on.
Bunch, what truly fabulous person-making skills you have, Atticus is a total poppet. So happy for you!

Quick roll call, and then I will get reading and try to catch up. Hope everyone's doing ok.

Planet, 30, 31 weeks today with a little girl who is going to be a feisty one if the amount of late night discoing is anything to go by. Currently averaging about 4.5 hours of sleep a night and counting down to maternity leave starting! (5moreweeks5moreweeks5moreweeks!)

Sodasoda · 13/08/2016 23:27

I'm quite a regular waxer pink so maybe not as painful for me. I had a reaction to cream when I tried it ages ago ( not pleasant) and I never fancied taking a razor to those parts....

Sounds painful Audrey! Perhaps ring the midwife?** Hope you're ok.

Glad you've been taking it easy indi

hope your NCT class is good tomorrow leonie.

Congratulations hep!

Sorry you had a disappointing scan experience canters. Naughty baby! Hopefully they're in a better position for you next time.
