Thought I'd start a new thread before thread 4 fills up

bigfam that's so expensive! Phone them up and threaten to leave and they should reduce the bill. We've just left bt, and instead of paying £70+ a month we pay £25, plus £8 Netflix and amazon prime video.

South - that's odd. It should have worked as its intended for paying members? Glad you got it sorted in the end though. Looking forward to getting my goodies delivered now! Nice one on the baby monitor, I've not even considered one of those yet!

Bigfam - wow that's brilliant thank you for the heads up. I'm signed up to boots and asda baby clubs but not heard or seen anything about the events!
As for sky, we used to have it but it's all one huge cost like you say, we just have freeview now, a Netflix subscription (which can be cancelled anytime) and now the Amazon tv with prime can't say I miss Sky at all!

I know..... We've not even got all of the channels, quite a few of the football matches that dp watches end up on bt and we'd have to pay more to get those, most hd channels are locked still. It's ridiculous really. Then last week they actually went into our bank and took the bill twice so we ended up paying out £280, once they refunded it I removed our card info off their system so they couldn't double charge again & then they put up a bloody annoying 'please contact sky' pop up that interrupted programs every two minutes and wouldn't remove it til I added the card details back on 😠

I can't work out this free box thing. Not showing up!

I went on to the live chat because I was on my mobile and the offer didn't appear for me, so they applied it via chat.

I have added a few toys and a few other bits. I have emailed them now to ask. I saw the offer and I have been a prime member for 3 years in Jan. I'm just wondering if I won't be eligible as I'm on student prime?

Theaks, it says on the baby box FAQs:

You have to be a paying member of Prime (not in a trial period) to receive the box. Also, if you have prime and already have a baby wish list, simply add a few more baby items to the list and it should update.

Theaks, maybe add Amazon Family to your subscription as well (if this is possible?) I know I just had Prime to begin with then I added the Family part to it afterwards!

bristol I've been trying to work this out. The U.K. Gov website says your maternity leave is valid if you have the baby after the start of you 24th week - which to me means anything after 23 completed weeks (as then you're in your 24th week, or 23+2 for example) so I assumed this is when it was viable from, and have got a big market in my Calender for 23 completed weeks.
However on the Sands website it says up to 24 completed weeks of pregnancy it would still be counted as a miscarriage - which indicates it's not viable until after that? I know it's only a week different but it feels like such a significant milestone I've been desperately trying to find out.

Just heard on the radio this morning that Morrisons have a baby event on. Don't know how good it is though, will have to have a look when I get chance!

stupid Q, but where on amazon do you go to get a live chat with the customer support? I can't work out how to get my box to come up free either but would love to have one!

firawla have you created a baby wish list and added items to it? If you do that, it should display an option to claim the free baby box. If not, find contact us/help and it will bring up a search bar to ask your question, if you type in live chat it should direct you to an agent.

I know theaks they do take their time replying! It's like a slow form of torture, yesterday I kept seeing 'agent is typing' only for it to disappear without a reply, 3 minutes later I'd get a one word response. They did sort it....in the end

bigfam I did, but can't see anything coming up about the free claim. I'll have to keel trying it and then email for a refund if it doesn't work I suppose!

I left it with the bloke from Amazon. He reckons that it's an issue with the terms and conditions. Which sounds like I'm not eligible as I pay for student prime and it's not as much as the full. We will see x

I'm a Prime member. Never heard of the baby box thing though. What is in the box? May sit down with DH later to work it out!

24 weeks today. Been very disorganised so far. Managed to get some baby stuff down from the loft but it all needs cleaning and I haven't even started it. Not too worried about hospital bag yet though. Probably will pack one at about 32ish weeks which I think will be plenty early enough.

I've sent my MatB1 form to HR with my maternity leave starting at 39 weeks, so am leaving it pretty late especially since DD was born at 39 weeks but my work provisionally agreed that I could take about 3 weeks annual leave before this, but they haven't sorted it out yet. I think I need to pin them down this week to organise it. It's pretty chaotic there at the moment as 3 out of 4 of the senior staff are off sick, so it's one woman (who only started the job about 4 months ago) trying to do it all. So I do understand why it hasn't been sorted yet, but I think they really need to start to think about it, and (selfishly) I need a 'last day' date to aim for now in my head as work has been a bit of a slog recently and I'm knackered.

In exciting news, am now getting really clear kicks, and DH felt her kicking last night for the first time.

Hello everyone! popped away for about 5 seconds and there are several pages again, what a chatty bunch . The box thing says "unavailable" sadly - maybe just me. Where are you getting all these bargains from bigfam? I want to know who you know!

Totally breathless now - and getting a stitch about 5 mins after starting walking which is so frustrating as I love walking (is anyone else getting this?), and am such a fast walker usually. I normally sing and chat with DS1 all the way to nursery in the morning (only 10 mins! flat route!) but kept having to stop. Gah

kitkat I'm not exactly nesting either, though we are moving house in 4 weeks - suppose I should do something about that. Realised that once we're in the new house and after a bit of annual leave I'll only have 7 weeks left of work - going off at 36 weeks this time as SPD was bad from 35 last time and DS1 born at 38. Plus the house move will increase my commute.
