queenfee pretty sure I won't have my booking in appt until at least 8 weeks. It was either this week she could come out or after her leave. So I thought we might as well go for it. She is excited about me considering a home birth as my last son (10 now) was born at home in a pool x I am older too, but I don't think that makes much difference at this stage x

Mummymulb16 · 02/08/2016 21:34

Queenfee how come you got antibiotics for your sinusitis! I get blocked nose especially at night can't sleep and my snot is green. Do you think it's an infection? I thought it was just a pregnancy symptom !

everdene · 02/08/2016 21:52

I have got an 'upset tummy' tonight Blush I have been having 200mls of prune juice for the last couple of days but it seems to have gone through me like a plumb line tonight!

I know it's weird but I keep checking my boobs are still hurting so I know I'm still pregnant, it all feels a bit unlikely! Exciting though!

rausten · 03/08/2016 07:22

So feeling nauseas and dry heaving has started 4+6 weeks. Didn't get morning sickness with my last. In people's experience, is this the sign of things to come??

rausten · 03/08/2016 07:22

*nauseous

smiles01 · 03/08/2016 07:22

I had horrendous cramps at 3am lay night, I woke up in so much pain - felt like bad period pains.
I'm 6 weeks today is this normal?

LotsaTuddles · 03/08/2016 07:33

Discharge stopped quite quickly and cramps stopped when I had a poo Blush

I think I must be quite constipated because they keeping coming and going and I'm pretty sure they're a poo of trapped wind now that I've calmed down

LotsaTuddles · 03/08/2016 07:34

I have no idea smiles. So sorry, I don't think I've ever had a "normal" pregnancy

finova · 03/08/2016 08:40

Tuddles: 1st pregnancy I had lots of period type cramps in first few weeks.
Smiles: 2nd pregnancy I had one night of intense pain at about 6 weeks. I vomited but no bleeding...think just hormonal adjustments. That was like a really really bad period pain but all was fine.

Ticketsplease · 03/08/2016 08:59

Also checking in 6+5
Edd 31st March (dh 40th birthday!!)
Both my dbs were late. Bit of a surprise as my dbs are 10 and 8 so it's very like starting again as its been soooo long.
Feeling ok, coffee smell giving me the boak but plodding along.
Made midwives appointment today so it all starting to become real.

summerskittles91 · 03/08/2016 10:17

Hello to everyone who has joined :D so exciting to be able to talk to people due in March/April.

I need to go over and catch up with the last few days of posts.

How is everyone feeling? I was fine this morning, just had some muller corner yoghurt and now feeling queasy Hmm

LotsaTuddles · 03/08/2016 11:06

Sickness kicking in here. With 2 toddlers at home that's....... fun.

And got ds' settling in session at pre school tomorrow Confused so that could be fun

Strubo · 03/08/2016 12:32

Ticketsplease I'm the same, mine are 10 & 6 and this one was somewhat of a surprise!

QueenFee · 03/08/2016 13:40

mummymul no idea, my last pregnancy I had it constantly and I was given a nasal spray. Went expecting that or antihistamines as I get allergic rhinitis a lot so was really surprised when he prescribed antibiotics.
Its improved slightly already so maybe he was right.

Ticketsplease · 03/08/2016 14:05

Strubo, glad I'm not the only one!! Sure it will be a fun journey!!!

zambean · 03/08/2016 14:41

Hello everyone! I'm currently 4 weeks 4 days, though have known for 10 days since I have a very short cycle. So due early April, with my first! I'm 34, and am very excited - was worried we might find it difficult to conceive because of my age, so I'm relieved to know everything is working ok :)

So far feeling fine except completely exhausted in the afternoons (it's getting close to my nap time now, actually...!) and slightly sore boobs. No real nausea as yet.

MrsBellefleur · 03/08/2016 16:28

I'm getting very impatient as nothing is happening yet! I hate finding out so early! I'm now 5w + 4 and found out a couple of weeks ago. I phoned last Monday and left a message for the midwife to contact me and I've not heard anything back yet and I want her to ring and make my booking in appointment so I have something to focus on!

finova · 03/08/2016 16:30

Tired here too zambean, considering a nap as 90 mins till the rest get in...so excited keep googling things!
Is anyone planning any extra scans?

finova · 03/08/2016 16:33

I'm booking in on 23rd, then off to France day after. No wine or cheese for me!!

DeliciouslyHella · 03/08/2016 17:24

I'm very jealous of all this talk of booking in. I called the midwife last Friday and was told to ring back in a couple of weeks. Was hoping I could talk to someone quickly as am on medication for high blood pressure.

finova · 03/08/2016 17:32

Oh no!
I think I might have booked in a bit early but would be a bit late after hol.
Hope you all get appts soon- ring again!

SussexNadia · 03/08/2016 17:53

Hi ladies
I'm 6 weeks, and have my booking in appointment next Tuesday. It's with the community midwife at my GP surgery. I filled in all the maternity exemption forms and referral forms, and was told they like to see 1st timers ASAP. I guess maybe just to tell me that I'm overweight, I need to exercise, eat healthier and take vitamins!

I know there isn't anything "normal" but I did get bad cramps, so much so I put a pad in and kept checking for blood as thought AF was coming. But apparently it's all just the uterus stretching.

My nausea has started, I wake up feeling like I've had a heavy night of drinking. I'm definitely not one to enjoy being pregnant!!

QueenFee · 03/08/2016 17:57

Rang the mW and she was insistant she needed to see me asap. Booking in on Friday!

Beegee3 · 03/08/2016 18:29

So I had my home visit from the midwife today ( I am 5 +4 ) it turns out that it was my full booking in appointment. So all blood taken, wee sample, BP and carbon monoxide measurement etc. BP is on the high end of normal apparently. I blubbered at her almost immediately when she asked me how I am feeling. I will be consultant led as I am an older mum, which she just said is silly as it's what society puts on us - nice. X

zambean · 03/08/2016 18:51

Here's a question for everyone: when do you plan to tell people that you are pregnant?
