Fingers crossed for you tuddles, so many people have spotting or bleeds and go on to have successful pregnancies xx

Esker · 01/08/2016 23:08

Queen Fee good luck telling your mum and the kids. You never know maybe they will surprise you with a happy reaction :)

LotsaTuddles · 01/08/2016 23:13

Got a bit of a sore back/stomach, like not that sore cramps, but not sure if it's just a poo (sorry tmi).

Going to try to relax for now. I know it's quite common, but I've had 3 miscarriages now.

Good luck queenfee! Hope she takes it better than you're expecting her to

MonkeyArms · 01/08/2016 23:37

Keeping everything crossed for you tuddles. Hoping that you manage to get some sleep and that it is just a massive trapped fart and some over vigorous sex xxx

Abacha · 02/08/2016 00:50

Can I join please, I've lurked on mumsnet for years, I'm finally delurking as I would like some support from others during this pregnancy.

I tested yesterday at 7 days past a 5 day transfer and I'm so happy we're pregnant.

This is my second IVF Pregnancy, had my son this time last year, breezed through pregnancy, unfortunately he passed away when he was days old.

I'm really struggling to remain positive, it's very early days as the OTD is not until the 9th of August. We did put 2 embryos back so there's a chance that both stuck.

Apart from being very tired, probably due to all the medication I'm on, i'm ok

Abacha · 02/08/2016 00:51

I forgot to add that estimated due date is April 12th

DeliciouslyHella · 02/08/2016 05:35

Keeping everything crossed for you Tuddles. X

I'm so sorry to hear about your son Abacha. These groups are great for support during the scary early days. Keep talking, we'll be here.

LotsaTuddles · 02/08/2016 06:01

Discharge seems to have gone back to normal. Still a tiny bit of cramping, but I can't decide if it's gone back to normal, still more sore, or trapped wind.

So sorry to hear about your son abacha Flowers

rausten · 02/08/2016 06:36

Hope everything is ok for you tuddles, and fingers crossed for you abacha. Sending lots of good vibes to you all xxx

gemsbok · 02/08/2016 06:44

Sorry to hear about your son abacha, there's no wonder it's a scary time for you. Take it easy.

Hope everything is ok tuddles x

drinkyourmilk · 02/08/2016 07:10

Tuddles, is it worth speaking to your gp and asking if your early pregnancy can be supported by progesterone? That's what us ivf-ers use (amongst other things ). It supports the lining and strengthens the cervix. I've everything crossed for you.

So sorry to hear about your son Abacha. Flowers

Welcome all the newbies

LotsaTuddles · 02/08/2016 07:32

Hmm didn't know that drinkyour. Will see if I can get an appointment at some point. I doubt it though, my gp's not very good

MonkeyArms · 02/08/2016 08:25

I have no medical training at all but have been doing a bit of reading on the use of progesterone to prevent miscarriage.

As far as I can find, the current evidence base is very weak (i.e. the quality of the research is poor) and the results show a very small increase in successful pregnancies (less than 1%). The current research also doesn't track through to birth and so doesn't take into account any increased in chromosomal abnormalities at birth. There seems to be a study on going at the University of Birmingham called PRISM which is looking to get better quality research from a large sample tracked through to birth in order to fill the gaps identified in current research by NICE in 2012. The PRISM study is due to last 3 years.

Again I have no background in this, and there may well be era search or early results I don't know about, but there doesn't seem to be a clear cut case for it at the moment.

MonkeyArms · 02/08/2016 08:27

So sorry about your son Abacha. It must make this pregnancy incredibly hard. Xx

Abacha · 02/08/2016 09:19

thanks everyone, I'm going to try my hardest to remain positive as I have a long way to go. We didn't tell anyone that we were trying again, well apart from the acupuncturist. It's different this time, the innocence has gone. My family are very supportive and I will share the news with them when we pass the OTD on 9th August.

My next milestone is the blood test likely to be on 10th of August and then an ultrasound when I'm 7 weeks +

MonkeyArms · 02/08/2016 09:44

Excuse my ignorance but what's OTD?

Abacha · 02/08/2016 11:00

sorry monkey it means official testing date. My clinic wants us to test to see if you're pregnant or not 16 days after transfer takes place, they have one of the longest waits that I've come across.

As the embryos were 5 days old when they were transferred, it's technically the same as 21 days after ovulation.

Strubo · 02/08/2016 11:21

I posted last week when I got my BFP but we've only just made the definite decision to go ahead, sorry if that's sensitive. I have 2 already, 10 and 6 and this one was a big surprise! Due 4th April I think, called to book in yesterday and have my booking in appointment and scan date. I've been off work for nearly 6 months sick and I'm due back soon, I can't imagine this news is going to go down well!

finova · 02/08/2016 18:44

Hi

I've just got a positive test. Period due today, I have had period pains for last few days but had with my 1st pregnancy. This is DC3.
Due date is 11th April. Smile

Esker · 02/08/2016 19:27

Hope you are ok Tuddles.

Abacha, fingers crossed for good news on your blood test and scan.

Flowers5 · 02/08/2016 20:30

Congratulations to all the newbies. I hope you're ok Tuddles.

I was just wondering if anyone has bought any baby books yet or if anyone can recommend any from previous pregnancies? There are so many!

Beegee3 · 02/08/2016 20:36

Hello ladies 😊 may I join you? 5 weeks 3 days here! Very nervous. I went to my gp yesterday and told him the news, he gave me the numbers for the midwife team and told me to ring straight away. So I have a midwife coming to my house tomorrow morning for my first appointment! X

naranciata · 02/08/2016 20:40

Checking in!

Got BFP today. First intentional pregnancy.

Am terrified and delighted.

I have no idea what to actually do. Not registered with a doctor because we just moved here a month ago. Should probably sort that out. Then what? What should I not eat? When should I tell people - 3 months right?

Think I am 4+2 with EDD of 10 April.

Fuuuuuck.

QueenFee · 02/08/2016 21:03

Thanks for the reminder Beegee I need to phone the midwife. Keep forgetting. I'm assuming the guidance as to what to do/not do has changed again I'm the last 5 years since I did it last!

QueenFee · 02/08/2016 21:04

Oh and I've been given antibiotics today for sinusitis, problem is they are huge. Going to struggle keeping them down the way I feel at the moment.
