Happy Birthday Scandi! Don't worry, they will understand. Smile

everdene · 31/07/2016 07:40

Happy birthday for yesterday Scandi!

Did anyone twig you'd cancelled for a reason?

I've just realised I'm going to have to pull out of my sister-in-law's hen weekend as it'll be the week after I'm due. I am a bridesmaid and I can't really think of a good excuse to tell the other bridesmaids yet - any ideas?!

DeliciouslyHella · 31/07/2016 08:33

Do you have to pull out right away Everdene? If you can get away with waiting for the 12 week scan, I would just do it then.

everdene · 31/07/2016 08:55

Hella the chief bridesmaid is trying to get people to confirm - she has a young baby herself so I'll try to stall the booking of it by a couple of weeks I think until I've had the scan if I can Wink

Those of you that have been here before.... is it normal to feel normal?! Breasts feel tender like before a period, and have the occasional wave of slight nausea but apart from that I feel normal.... 5+3

gemsbok · 31/07/2016 20:43

Totally normal Monkey, give it 3 more weeks and we'll all be wishing we were symptom free

drinkyourmilk · 31/07/2016 20:48

In that vein is it normal to be throwing up yet? I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow

gemsbok · 31/07/2016 20:55

I'm sure it is drinkyourmilk - we all react differently to the pregnancy hormones. Hope the sickness isn't too bad.

drinkyourmilk · 31/07/2016 20:59

Ivf pregnancy - happy to have all the symptoms thrown at me Smile

MonkeyArms · 31/07/2016 21:01

Thanks gem. Xx

gemsbok · 31/07/2016 21:09

Drinkyourmilk - another reason for early or more pronounced symptoms is TWINS!!!

LotsaTuddles · 31/07/2016 21:13

Drinkyour. Totally normal. I'm usually throwing up by now

drinkyourmilk · 31/07/2016 21:27

Gem- someone has already mentioned that. Would be id twins as only one egg put back.

LotsaTuddles · 31/07/2016 21:51

Does anyone else have that stretchy/uncomfortable pain but not quite pain?

I don't think I've ever had it this early before Hmm

bellyrubgirl · 31/07/2016 22:21

Yes LotsaTuddles. I'm 4+4 and have been having a lot of pressure type pains, feels like my AF is coming, the crampy period pains have gone though. Not sure how long these pressure type pains are expected to last?

LotsaTuddles · 31/07/2016 22:44

Bellyrub, they don't really go completely (well not for me), they change though. As your uterus comes up above your pelvic bone it's not quite so obvious all the time

summerskittles91 · 01/08/2016 13:48

LotsaTuddles I've had pains and aches that I've never felt before. all feel quite weird.

Yesterday I had horrendous lower back pain - which was unbearable and lasted a couple of minutes, has anyone else had this? It's gone now thankfully but did have me worried at the time Hmm

bellyrubgirl · 01/08/2016 18:31

Summerskittles91 I've lower back pain, but I've history of slipped disc so it's not really new for me. Seen GP today, was anxious she would be thinking why was I there but she was so lovely and spent lots of time chatting over any concerns I had re medications, diet etc. As I live in NI I won't see anyone again until approx 10-12 weeks so it was nice to chat with someone about potential issues that may arise.
I contacted my reflexologist to say I was pregnant and should I continue. She said she wasn't surprise as my feet felt pregnant when I seen her two weeks ago! Amazing

rausten · 01/08/2016 19:03

Hey can I join. I am 4+4 and really excited! It's our 2nd Smile xx

Esker · 01/08/2016 19:45

I'll join! I'm 5+4 with first baby. Very excited but worrying about every little thing as I had a mmc last time.

I don't feel sick but am very bloated and feel quite 'off' food eg even when really hungry I just don't fancy anything.

LotsaTuddles · 01/08/2016 19:59

I feel exactly the same Esker!!

Really hungry, but don't want to eat anything

Esker · 01/08/2016 21:39

Yes it's an unusual feeling for me as I'm usually keen to eat everything in sight!

I also have type 1 diabetes so am testing my blood sugar constantly and trying to avoid excessive carbs... with mixed success Confused

QueenFee · 01/08/2016 22:05

My symptoms seem worse this time around. Not sure if it's just because ice forgotten or if it's because I now have 4 kids to run around after. Went away on hols last week and it was hard pretending to feel normal whilst constantly feeling tired and sick. I must remember to ring the midwife tomorrow to arrange booking. It's going to take some juggling to go without the kids as hubby works away, but I don't want the kids to know yet.
Dreading telling my mother :/ not really sure why but don't think she will be very happy for me.

LotsaTuddles · 01/08/2016 22:23

Slight pink discharge. This could be me ducking out

MonkeyArms · 01/08/2016 22:35

Big hugs tuddles. Lots of people get spotting so not necessarily bad news? How far along are you xxxx
