Busynothings (sorry - forgotten how to bold!) sorry to hear you are also in state of paranoia. Its a strange time isn't it - I feel like I flit from excitement to anxiety back and forth. We just need to remember this is normal. Hand holding for you!

BusyNothings · 15/08/2016 14:02

Lol I didn't know how for ages either put an * on either side of the word to bold it. I don't think I've been excited since I did the test I was excited for the day and then have swung straight to worried as hell. I never thought I'd wish for nausea and pain but right now it would be comforting lol

drinkyourmilk · 15/08/2016 14:03

allabout I'm exactly the same. I bought some Internet cheapies so I could poas whenever I wanted. I also did clearblue weeks ones to reassure myself that my hgc was going up.
My symptoms come and go, I try not to freak out as it's not good for baby, but it's hard!

Mummymulb16 · 15/08/2016 15:17

Is there anyone else who doesn't have the urge to keep peeing ! I'm not drinking much so I figure that's what and just generally feel crap so am I the only one I keep thinking something is wrong Sad

Jones1980 · 15/08/2016 15:29

I'm 5,3 aswell I wouldn't worry yourself allaboutthecake I have something different everyday but the nausea and dizziness is killing me

BusyNothings · 15/08/2016 15:32

mummymulb it could be that your not drinking much? I was reading the other day about how much extra water need to drink as will be dehydrated. I've been downing it like mad and whilst I'm peeing load I'm feeling a bit better. Might be because you're not drinking much your body is holding on to what there is?

Cheby · 15/08/2016 15:35

Hello. Can I join you all? I'm 5+6, due 11th April. Baby no. 2, DD is 3.4.

I'm nervous as its early days yet and symptoms are pretty mild, but I think they were last time too so maybe that's ok.

I do have one symptom that is worrying me a bit; whenever I stand up from sitting I get a really sharp pull/pain low down on my left side. I'm assuming it's ligament pain, but do I need to be worried about ectopic with one sided pain? Or would that be all the time rather than just when I'm moving?

Spindelina · 15/08/2016 15:39

Hayls, nearly right.

Assuming you earn more than £150 ish per week, SMP is 6 weeks at 90%, then £139 for another 33 weeks, so 9 months in total. Your employer might offer more - I'm in the NHS so I'll get full pay for 8 weeks and half pay for another 18 weeks.

MA (which you'd get if you changed jobs - I did last time round) is £139 for all 39 weeks.

SMP is taxable, MA isn't, which might do something to close the gap, depending on how much you are paid the rest of the time.

Jones1980 · 15/08/2016 15:40

Well I've decided to take one day at a time I was getting myself in such a state threw worrying all the time I was breaking down crying because I was worried all the time and it's no good for me or baby so I am not doing it no more allaboutthecake you don't want to get like me I kept going to the toilet and checking myself since I said anoth is anoth I've been alot karma

Spindelina · 15/08/2016 15:41

Waves at lotsa

abeandhalo · 15/08/2016 15:49

Me - due mid April, it's my first and I'm so glad to hear the mixed feelings on here because even though it was planned I am mostly just feeling freaked out rather than happy. Smile

Got morning sickness from the 5-6 week mark which seemed a little unfair! Although have managed to get it under control now, apparently a double sausage and egg McMuffin is not the thing to settle your stomach haha. But by about 11am I'm feeling my normal self again thank god.

Hope it doesn't last, I've got a 2 week European road trip starting from Saturday! Perfect timing!

Hayls17 · 15/08/2016 16:01

spindelina thank you so much Smile

cheby I had pain on one side (right hand side of waist) for 2 days and I was so worried! It's gone today though. I have a pretty physical job and I think I pulled something at work, I've been reading up and apparently our ligaments are now relaxing to allow our bodies to grow so we are more susceptible to pulled muscles etc. Hopefully yours will ease in a couple of days too! Mine was only when I bent down or coughed not constant.

DrRBannerx · 15/08/2016 16:02

I just found out today that I'm pregnant after ttc for 6 months. Would be due around April 21St x

MyGreenSofa · 15/08/2016 16:02

Jones - I felt exactly the same as you in my first pregnancy (and still anxious enough this time around!) you're right to try and take things one day at a time, but I know how you feel as these early days are so worrying and everything beyond your control! Flowers

jel2014 · 15/08/2016 16:10

just dropping in. i had an awful few days last week with shivers and flushes and aching limbs coupled with the nausea. thankfully that has now gone and just left with nausea. This resulted in going back to my trustee pregnancy foods of salt and vinegar chipsticks and doing a dash to the supermarket at lunch.

i too am worrying about symptoms and the pregnancy. now on my second i confirm that this never goes, even once the baby is here. Its setting you up for a lifetime of worrying. It gets easier as each week ticks by.

Cheby · 15/08/2016 16:21

Hayls17 thank you, I had assumed ligament pain as it does seem to be only when I move, so that's reassuring. It's also in the region of my section scar so I did wonder if it had something to do with that. I might mention it to the midwife when she calls this week to arrange my booking appointment.

Cheby · 15/08/2016 16:22

Is anyone else veering wildly from hot flushes to freezing cold? I had this last pregnancy but not so early last time. I'm bright pink in the face most of the time, worried people at work are going to guess! Grin

MrsTGG · 15/08/2016 16:30

My lack of symptoms has been stressing me out too!
I'm sure in my last pregnancy the sickness started at 5 weeks but I'm almost 8 now and haven't been sick once. The nausea has stopped too.
It's funny how you almost WANT to be sick Hahahaha

zambean · 15/08/2016 16:43

I wanted to feel sick, just to be reassured all was going ok, until I did, and now I am so miserable. I've barely been able to move for days, and have constant low level nausea so that the only things I can bear to eat are plain white bread and yogurt. This is rubbish! And I'm only 6w3d - could easily be ten weeks left of feeling like this!

MummaFB · 15/08/2016 16:51

Can I join please?

I'm 26 yo and from LMP date, expecting DC1 on 1st April. Grin so that makes me 7+3.

Aside from feeling bloated and tired, I'm feeling suprisingly chirpy! I wanted to know if anyone has had their booking appointment yet? I still feel like this is all a bit of a dream - its like I need a trained medical professional to tell me in 100% up the duff before I'll believe it hahaha

cantmakeme · 15/08/2016 17:15

chatenoeuf sorry about your little son and your previous losses. All the best for this one.

cantmakeme · 15/08/2016 17:19

cheby yes, I have been going pretty red!
Also, ectopic pain is not constant (and not always severe - mine had ruptured and pain was minimal). Aches and pains are normal though, if you have the sense that something is wrong then have it checked.

jobrum · 15/08/2016 17:34

Honestly, no one wants to have morning sickness. I was sick at least two times a day for a couple of months (and it got me again around 4 and 7 months too). It came out of nowhere: I'd be fine, smell something I didn't like then either heave loudly or just instantly throw up. Horrible, and the heightened sense of smell has never quite gone so I'm already feeling queasy at smells this time. I don't want it!

Cheby · 15/08/2016 18:36

Thanks cantmakeme. Glad it's not just me bright red in the face! I don't think this hot weather is helping either.

naranciata · 15/08/2016 18:46

Low point today - vomiting in my hands as I was running out of a training course. Eugh.

Also have a wisdom tooth coming through and it's absolutely killing me.
