Yesterday I felt utterly crap, this morning I felt like crap, this afternoon/evening I have been on top form!

From last time in the first trimester I remember days of feeling really lousy and couldn't face food and days when I went running or cycling, ate everything and felt fab!

Midrog · 14/08/2016 23:54

Euggghhhhhh tonight I think I've felt the worst so far. Boob's are tender and red hot to touch and I've felt so so sick :( no actual vomiting though. Starting to think KFC for dinner wasn't a good idea lol! Back on slimming world tomorrow. Hoping these are all good signs everything is going good. 6 weeks today!

drinkyourmilk · 15/08/2016 07:08

Good luck to the ladies with appointments today Flowers

I had another dreadful night sleep. I've got a training course this morning where I'm representing the whole team, and a looooong meeting straight afterwards. Urgh.

Theknittinggorilla · 15/08/2016 07:33

Ha finova that's exactly what I look like! And I'm 4+2!! I feel better now Grin

MrsRhubarb · 15/08/2016 08:35

The toddler and I were both very sick yesterday, thank goodness it was Sunday and I just crawl into bed and leave DH to look after DD -and shampoo the carpet-.

It's my second baby and I don't look any different yet, but I am bigger than I was first time round anyway. The only think I've found so far is that tea tastes slightly odd, which is a disaster, but other than that I just tend to be automatically going for saltier foods, which was the same last time.

everdene · 15/08/2016 08:37

Finova I've lost my sweet tooth as well, all I want is fruit, vegetables, cheese and crisps!

I'm sure the McDonalds cravings will kick in shortly for me Wink

Theknittinggorilla · 15/08/2016 09:12

I was all about the salt in pregnancy one and all about the sugar in pregnancy two. So was convinced it was a girl (as I was much sicker as well) but no, another boy.
Am going to try really herd to keep healthy in this one as think it will be even harder to get the weight back off a third time (and older). Also think it's the only way to try and limit the effects of this pregnancy with two dc to look after. Trying to exercise too, went for a swim last night.
I did swimming world to great effect last year (though slipped back a stone this year) so I might look into doing that through the pregnancy. Is there a specific pregnancy plan?

Theknittinggorilla · 15/08/2016 09:13

Slimming world! Swimming on the brain....

jpeg28 · 15/08/2016 09:22

Morning... Hope everyone slept better last night!

This morning my boobs don't hurt at all, yesterday they were in agony... And I was convinced I was bleeding... I wasn't... Just a lot of CM I guess. I've also just called doctor and they said to have an appointment with them first because of the MC so I'm hoping I'll be able to get an early scan. I honestly cannot cope with this paranoia until 12 weeks! I'm only 4+3!!

However I have got a little ahead of myself and was looking at maternity dresses! I have two weddings left this year, one when I should be 12 weeks and one when I should be 22 weeks... Perhaps maternity shopping is a bit early!!

Midrog · 15/08/2016 09:44

knittinggorilla slimming world is essentially the same but you get an extra healthy a and healthy b. I lost 3 stone before getting pregnant but I've already put 6 back on! Someone I work with started it when she was 14 weeks though and she's lost one a half stone so far!

Midrog · 15/08/2016 09:45

jpeg haha Yer I keep looking at maternity clothes too. I'm just dying to buy maternity leggings! They look so comfortable and I can already barely do my jeans up :(

summerskittles91 · 15/08/2016 10:02

Morning everyone :) Just caught up with the all the posts from the weekend!

I am also looking for some maternity leggings, I usually wear leggings to work anyway, but they're feeling tight already Blush only 7 weeks today but have just ballooned up so much! Sickness is also quite severe, already thrown up twice at work already. currently working my way through a packet of hoola hoops. Salty food is helping quite a bit.. gone of anything sweet and I have a sweet tooth like anything Sad

MrsRhubarb · 15/08/2016 10:10

I remember holding off buying something to wear last time as I had a wedding at five months and I had no idea how big I'd be. My bump barely showed, I think I just looked a bit podgy in a normal dress!

I'd forgotten how stressful the CM can be, every time you wipe you feel like you've started bleeding. Grr!

BusyNothings · 15/08/2016 10:33

Yes I'm like that too mrsrhubarb esp at the minute as all my symptoms have calmed down!

drinkyourmilk · 15/08/2016 11:18

I haven't started wearing maternity leggings- but I've switched to regular ones from jeans and the relief! No jeans for at least a year I've decided! I'm pretty far anyway though. Was a smaller 18 then I've ballooned to a large 18/20 with the bloating. Same weight!

drinkyourmilk · 15/08/2016 11:19

fat not far

MyGreenSofa · 15/08/2016 11:46

I can't remember when I started wearing maternity clothes last time but I do remember a long period of just feeling fat and not having a proper bump! And oh I had awful spots which must have been 1st & a bit 2nd trimester. Not yet this time! I'm quite off sweet things too.

Who is sat nursing a pack of hula hoops at work? I empathise! I did the same last time around with cheese savouries!

Need to call GP and see if I need to see doctor or just contact midwives. Wish they had a clearer procedure! I'm in a different area to where I had my daughter so all new again!

ChatEnOeuf · 15/08/2016 11:49

Hello everyone. A very tentative request to join the gang - I'm around 5+5 I think but with quite a shitty obstetric history. This will (hopefully) be DC3: DD is almost 5, DS was stillborn last year. I've also miscarried three times, once was with twins, so I'm a bit anxious! I have an early scan at 6w on Weds with the recurrent miscarriage clinic and then we pray. No sore boobs but dizzy and a bit nauseous. Definitely breath a sigh of relief each time I wipe and it's not red!

Finger crossed for boring pregnancies for us all.

Hayls17 · 15/08/2016 12:23

Guys, I have a dilemma, I'm not sure if any of you guys can help or point me in the direction of another thread. I've been in my current job 14 months and have been interviewing for a new job before I found out I was expecting. I'm going to be a first time mum so the financial side is all new to me. I've done the maternity pay calculator on the .gov website but wondered if you guys could clarify it for me. My understanding is that whether I stay or leave my current job, I will get up to 52 weeks at £139 a week regardless. If I stay in my current job I will get the first 6 weeks paid 90 percent of earnings, where as in a new job I would start straight away on £139. Is this correct?

LotsaTuddles · 15/08/2016 12:50

Spindelina I was on Nov '16 thread too.

Scan on Wednesday, so excited and terrified. I'll be 6+6 so they should be able to see abdominally. My mum is coming with me and she's been warned that if they want to do it internally then she's to wait outside

marmitecheesetoast · 15/08/2016 13:00

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies!

Hayls I'm not sure, sorry - something I need to look into myself!

I had my GP appt this morning. Of course she didn't laugh at me and say no, you're not pregnant (as was my irrational fear!) I have a choice between two hospitals and had to decide which one I wanted to go to - didn't expect this already! - as for one of them the GP refers you and for the other you ring the antenatal unit yourself directly to register the pregnancy. I wasn't really sure which to pick but anyway went for the one you ring yourself. GP told me to ring asap as they like to see first timers sooner rather than later so I just nipped out on lunch break to give them call. The incredibly rude and unhelpful busy sounding lady I spoke to basically said its too early, 'try again next week' and practically put the phone down on me Hmm

Is anyone else in Manchester area? Just wondering how to know which of the two would be best to pick (they are pretty much equidistant for me)

GP also gave me forms to complete for free prescriptions - woo didn't realise we got free prescriptions! Grin sadly I can't use the 'good' steroid cream on my eczema anymore though (as expected) or use loperamide for my IBS anymore (again, as expected!)

I know someone else had GP appt too today but can't remember who and can't scroll back right now - hope it went well?

LotsaTuddles · 15/08/2016 13:01

Finova dh and I had tattoos done in June and was taking pictures yesterday now his has healed and I definitely look pregnant

Picture of just mine was straight after (beginning of June) and the one of both of us was yesterday

JennyOfOldstones · 15/08/2016 13:34

ChatEnOeuf were you on the June 2015 group perchance?

Allaboutthecake13 · 15/08/2016 13:37

Hello, is anyone else getting worried with symptoms coming and going? Today my boobs are still sore but not as much as they were yesterday and my feelings of nausea and hunger seem to have subsided. Still exhausted tho! I know symptoms coming and going is normal but despite that can't stop worrying. Considering POAS again just to reassure myself! I'm 5 + 3.

BusyNothings · 15/08/2016 13:52

Yes! Me too allaboutthecake been paranoid all day I'm literally exactly the same as you. Trying not to freak out.
