knitting that's exactly how I feel! Been struggling to explain to dh how I feel. Much less eloquently just been saying "I feel crap. Crap crap crap!" Ive been using my Fitbit to track food and drink so might try and step up the water consumption!

Also can anyone explain the counting week things? Why do some people say they are 6+2 for example? I've tried googling it but I'm even confusing Google!

Theknittinggorilla · 13/08/2016 12:32

It's weeks plus days busy.

Theknittinggorilla · 13/08/2016 12:34

And I used the hangover analogy to explain to my Dh why it wasn't going to be me that gets up with the children at the weekends if he has had a drink as I am just as hungover without the drinking!

BusyNothings · 13/08/2016 13:01

haha good thinking Knitting this is my first so besides walking the dogs im hoping i should be ok to sleep in - thats if the insomnia bloody lets me. Getting on to week 2 now and i feel exhausted.

Thanks i feel really thick the amount of things i dont know - my mum having to give me a crash course in all things baby!

Cineraria · 13/08/2016 13:30

I definitely agree with drinking more water being helpful knitting. I'm still breastfeeding my first baby six times a day which makes me really thirsty. I drink a pint glass full each time he feeds, even overnight, so six pints/three litres a day plus juice and herbal tea for breakfast and often a sparkling juice with dinner.

Compared to my first pregnancy, my symptoms are similar but much, much less, so I'm wondering if I'm diluting the hormones in my body by not getting dehydrated at all.

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 13:38

Cineraria wow your amazing still breastfeeding and pregnant how you doing that I ain't even got a baby yet and all the system I've got now I don't think I'd have the energy to do it

Cineraria · 13/08/2016 13:57

Feeding him is a good excuse to have a sit down instead of running around after him, Jones! As soon as my cycle returned to normal, we started trying as I'm over forty and was worried it might take a long time. I didn't expect it to happen so quickly, though but was really pleased. I like the idea of an eighteen month gap.

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 14:26

Arh bless they will grow up together I'm 36 first one so well excited at moment bet it's great to be a mom

zambean · 13/08/2016 16:02

I feel so terrible today, I can barely move. Just getting up to go to the toilet saps all my energy and all I can do is lie on the sofa feeling exhausted. And sick. Oh god, and I'm only 6 weeks. There's so long to go before this lets up!

BusyNothings · 13/08/2016 16:12

zambean i know how you feel. I am trying to force myself to be cheery and human but really struggling! also no appetite which means im struggling and forcing myself to eat but going so long without food im shaking!

drinkyourmilk · 13/08/2016 16:13

Attractively I've just had to throw up in sainsbury toilets. Urgh. I'm very happy to have the symptoms but I'd prefer discrete. Will be carrying mints in future

Helbelle75 · 13/08/2016 16:45

I'm so tired! Is this normal?!
Did a charity bag pack this morning and have just slept all afternoon. Luckily I'm on school holidays at the moment so have the luxury of sleeping!

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 16:46

Oh bless zambean well today is the only day I could eat with out feeling sick and my appetite is back in full swing I feel like everything I put in my mouth ain't even touching the sides

BusyNothings · 13/08/2016 16:57

Jones when did your appetite come back? I'm really struggling to eat enough and its definitely not like me!

MrsTGG · 13/08/2016 17:03

Hi everyone :)

This is my second (my daughter is 14 months). So far feeling very different from first pregnancy.
Last time I was sick every day at exactly the same time until 12/13 weeks. This time no sickness at all. Just tired and a little backache (from carrying the wee one about I assume?!)
Funny how your mind starts making you worry that this is a bad thing rather than a good thing hahaha

Helbelle75 · 13/08/2016 17:11

I had backache with my last pregnancy MrsTGG and it was my first (sadly ended in mc). Only slight twinges this time, with tiredness, nausea and sore boobs. Feels a bit different to last time - hopefully this one will stick!

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 17:21

Thursday I went to town with my partner he brought me 2 travel sickness bands so Friday put them on at work felt better could still feel a bit but nothing like before and I had a bit more energy yesterday then had a bad night sleep woke up in middle of the night was back up at 6.45 but I had cereal banana and orange this morning then was craving cheese burger don't usually eat cheeseburgers lol went over shop eat a cheese burger sausage rolls jam donut and a flake then feel asleep just woke up and still hungry don't know where it's come from but spoke to my mom on phone and she said eat why you can you will have some days where you could eat for England and some you can't I don't know but I hope the nausea stays off abit it was killing me

MrsTGG · 13/08/2016 17:39

Fingers crossed 'helbelle' - I'm sure it will al go fine this time :)
We have an early scan tomorrow, looking forward to having some peace of mind

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 17:59

Mrstgg what is the earliest you can book in for a early scan

MrsTGG · 13/08/2016 18:24

I think it's different for different clinics - some places say 6 weeks and others say 7 x

Strubo · 13/08/2016 18:26

Hi everyone. I'm due around the 4th April but my first 2 DC were 7 & 14 days over so I'm not convinced this one will be any different! I'm feeling pretty good apart from a bit of nausea and being completely starving all the time! My others are 10 & 6 so there's going to be a big gap (this one was a surprise!)
We told our parents over the last week as we happened to be seeing them all in person (they're spread all over the place) and they're all really excited which was nice, just need the husband to get excited now!

Wibblewobble100 · 13/08/2016 18:30

Hi all, can I join.
Got my BFP last Saturday and needed a week to let it sink in. Due 14 th April I hope. DC 2: I'm way more anxious than last time. It's taken 6 months to get a bfp and I'm so desperate for it to stick but had a tiny amount of brown tinged discharge today and now feel crampy. I am reassured reading some of the previous threads but my heart goes out to others.
No real symptoms do far, but only 5.1 and don't think the nausea started til 6 weeks last time. Would appreciate some support.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 13/08/2016 18:40

Yes I remember starting to feel really crappy about 6 weeks wibble

My memories of last time were feeling tired, sick and generally a bit peculiar in the first trimester - (although it wasn't all day, every day - some of the time I felt fine!) Second trimester is comparatively brilliant and feel like a normal human being, third trimester is getting achey, big and uncomfortable!

Jones1980 · 13/08/2016 18:46

Hi wibblewobble you are due the same time as me and my partner tryed for 6 months aswell take it easy try not to worry so much get plenty of rest hope all is good
