I've having loose bowels as well I was so poorly today had really bad stomach ache like when you have a bug didn't know whether I was going to throw up or open my bowels I did neither not good is anybody else had this feeling

Just added myself in!

Finally got a call from the midwife the other day and booking in app is on Monday. I have told my supervisor at work and my slimming world consultant. Finding it hard to not tell everybody though!

Feeling a bit rubbish with constant all day nausea and I was sick at work yesterday. I was never sick with my first so that was a bit of a shock for me.

Mrsbellefleur I'm the same I work as well got my appointment with midwife next Thursday but having nausea from the time I get up to the time I go to bed I'm feeling like crap at moment but still staying positive

Jesus my boobs have just gone enormous today. Four boob effect in a bra that fitted fine last week! Tummy feels bigger but that could be bloating, or the vast amount of food I've eaten lately.

I'm new to my area and have only just registered with GP. Rang this morning and was told to ring community midwives directly. The midwife who will see me is on leave until next week and I can't book in until she's back - feeling impatient!

Have a wedding this weekend and am nervous that everyone will realise as I'm normally a big fan of a drink or two at a wedding. Really don't want to tell anyone yet. The wedding is bloody miles away so we're making it into a weekender with a group of 15 mates. Any tips?

Naranciata - an infection (it I maybe?!) of some sort always requires antibiotics and everyone knows you shouldn't take abs with alcohol!

Or order orange juice and tell people it's vodka and oj?

Naranciata I had a hen do this weekend (1 day after getting BFP) - I used the old cystitis excuse and it seemed to do the trick!

Just a quick Q about booking in appt. Here we don't need to go to Dr first we just ring midwife dept at hospital and they arrange booking in appt. I've seen a lot of you saying you have yours over the next couple of weeks. Mine is not for another 5 weeks when I'll be10+1. Anyone else think that's a bit late? We are then referred for dating scan from the booking in appt so my scan is likely to be late too (we are on hols in week 12).

Think you can have scan up to 13 +6.
If think about booking a private one too though. Think you can get from £80 if just dating and basic check.

thanks finova I would like to have an earlier scan before we go away, we are going away with MIL & FIL and I won't be able to hide it by then particularly if I am sick. How does one go about arranging a private scan?

I've had mine with this company, I just googled. Some seem to be medically inclined like this and others specialise in 4d scans and mementoes.

I'm wondering about scan too. I'm unavoidably away from weeks 9-14 (1 week on holiday then flying straight from holiday to a 4 week trip with work). Would I be best trying to get a scan before?

If it's just dating then you can have between 6 and 18 weeks.
If you are wanting the nuchal measurements taking (to see risk of Down's syndrome) I'm fairly sure you need to have the measurements taken between 11 and 13,6 weeks. So if you wanted this screen you might need to alter your plans...think NHS offers to everyone now.
