Hi I'm tentatively joining - got my bfp this morning though only 3+4 as tested early....

I'm 36, this will be number 3, have two ds aged 3.8 and 17 months.
Due date looks like 22 April though will be section so likely slightly earlier. Haven't read the full thread yet but hello and congrats everyone, hoping I'm here to stay!

summerskittles91 · 10/08/2016 09:24

Allaboutthecake13 totally get the feeling about having both at the same time. I need some nuts and seeds to snack on I think.

Just spent ten minutes in the toilet, not feeling good at all today D:

Bubbinsmakesthree · 10/08/2016 09:30

Nausea tips:

-nibbling on something like plain crackers, toast, oat biscuits
-sucking ginger sweets (I liked gingins, you can get them in places like Holland and Barratts) and ginger tea
-combine the two and eat ginger biscuits!
-travel sickness bands did seem to help (easier in winter when you can hide them under jumper sleeves otherwise are a bit of a give away!)

Not looking forward to the first trimester TBH! It's all feeling crappy, anxious waits and trying to avoid people finding out before you are ready to tell them!

jel2014 · 10/08/2016 10:27

Not got the nausea yet but I'm expecting it after last time. First time around I survived on salt and vinegar chipsticks all the time, nibbling constantly! maybe that will help some of the nausea sufferers? ginger biscuits did nothing for me!

All i have is bloating, churning and feeling like i have trapped wind, anyone else?

WindyTriller · 10/08/2016 10:41

God yes just sooo bloated! I look about 6mths! Mind you that's normal anyway as I naturally carry my weight on my tummy in a way that makes people ask if I am pg even when not! However paranoid at the mo that people are going to notice Shock

Nausea wise last time I survived on wotsits!

summerskittles91 · 10/08/2016 10:45

WindyTriller I was having a pack of wotsits every day for the past 2 weeks. Now the thought of them makes my stomach churn. Onto walkers cheese and onion now. just cant stomach them before 12pm.

Bloating has hit me hard too, I want to go away :(

summerskittles91 · 10/08/2016 10:49

it to go away*

choccybiscuit · 10/08/2016 11:44

I second bubbinsmakesthree ginger is great for sickness. With my dd1 I put ginger root in a cup and pour boiled water in it for ginger tea and sipped when needed.

drinkyourmilk · 10/08/2016 11:50

I've been drinking ginger cordial. I'm slowly turning into a potato. I can eat mash and gravy, crisps or chips with a forklift truck full of salt. That is it. It's working though so I'm OK with it. Lost my symptoms a few days back, but back with a vengeance.

MissMooMoo · 10/08/2016 12:26

5+2 today and I don't feel like I have any symptoms at all today.
No tiredness (went to bed at 11 last night! )or sickness. Had both over the wknd. Is it normal to come and go? Boobs still ache though.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 10/08/2016 12:50

Based on previous experience yes I was quite up and down in the early weeks missmoomoo

I was just re-reading some of my posts on antenatal board during my first pregnancy - although I remember the constant low-level nausea I'd forgotten how tired and moody I felt in the first trimester.

I still can't believe I'm pregnant. Just did another two pregnancy tests (I have a stockpile of cheap ones that are out of date so may as well use them up!).

marmitecheesetoast · 10/08/2016 12:55

Ive not really has the achey boobs yet, which seems weird Hmm although I don't really get overly sore boobs with AF either I guess. I am just so exhausted today. Nausea seems better for now too Hmm

Still haven't decided what to do about job interview or whether to go home tomorrow and go bridesmaid dress shopping at the weekend or to tell Hmm

I can't stop worrying about something going wrong. I think I'm going to look into booking a private 8 week scan tonight. Anyone have any experience of this in the Manchester area?

finova · 10/08/2016 13:08

I'd tell bride you are trying for a baby so could buy off the peg nearer the time...in matching colour. Or have another role.

Not sure re job. I'm in same predicament re upping my hours or not. Think I won't as I'll prob want to cut down again after mat leave...

Mummymulb16 · 10/08/2016 13:25

drinkyourmilk I am also have lots of salt with food it's the only way I can eat it!. Has anyone gone of sugar I can't stand sweet things and I'm really cold ! Anybody got a Scan date yet? Saw midwife today and she told me to call up and book o think it's a bit early for that tho 😳

marmitecheesetoast · 10/08/2016 13:27

Ooh mummymulb I am also really cold, thought it was just me, but maybe its a PG thing?!

finova · 10/08/2016 13:28

I've gone right off cakes and biscuits. Still eating lots of fruit though.
Don't have nausea yet so on a bit of a health kick.
No scan date yet, and I've had to put back my booking in to 6th Sept. I'll be 9 weeks!

drinkyourmilk · 10/08/2016 14:09

Mummy you've just described me to a T! I'm also constantly cold, not eating sweet things and eating a bucket of salt.
My mum says it's a sign of carrying a boy Grin

drinkyourmilk · 10/08/2016 14:11

Also mummymulb I was told to book in at 6 weeks. They like to see you between 8-10 weeks for initial consultation.

Cazbg · 10/08/2016 14:36

Sorry wrote my message very quick this morning.

I would love to join very nervously. I am 34 and I am about 6 wks with dc2. Had two miscarriages before dc1 and another one earlier this year...so feeling very nervous.

Nausea with ds1 - I found ginger biscuits were brilliant and making sure i never got over hungry.

Feeling stupidly bloated today, hate the fact that I over analyse everything...

I have a scan on friday at 8.30am to take first look at whether this is a viable pregnancy.

choccybiscuit · 10/08/2016 17:07

I'm also analysing every little twinge. I had light pink cm last night and today. I'm worried slightly even though I had it with both previous pregnancies. Very mild cramps too. They come and go though. I went to docs to confirm my pregnancy and took my BP which was fine and said I need to self refer to the maternity unit. She said spotting and cramps can be very normal. It helps to hear it from a doc. Hope everyone else is well!

cantmakeme · 10/08/2016 18:13

Yes, this morning I woke up had to "go" straight away. It was odd, my previous pregnancy (the normal one) made me constipated. The ectopic gave me rectal pressure so I went more. I'm panicking 😞

Happy birthday Naranciata! It's amazing how much cheaper posh meals can be when you don't drink, so make sure you order the most expensive dishes on the menu grin

Yesterday 21:38 choccybiscuit

I now have thrush hmm. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Yesterday 22:29 Bubbinsmakesthree

Hello can I join? Got the two magic lines this evening, and just taking it all in. This would be DC2 for us, DS has just turned 2. It almost feels too easy and too perfect. This month was the first month we really TTC properly after DS. I wanted to complete my family by the time I was 40 and lo, my due date is my 40th birthday! And the age gap would be exactly the same as between me and my brother which has always been the model for me. I feel I don't deserve to be this lucky!

Last pregnancy was a bit stressful, lots of extra tests and worry - this time I am determined to take it as it comes and try to appreciate it more - all being well this will be the last time I do it!

Yesterday 22:31 Avengerhart85

Hi can I join?
Got a faint bfp yesterday (tested 2 days early blush) then darker bfp today... TTC since May so 4 weeks tomorrow!
2nd baby & feels like I am so much further on I'm sure I don't remember pregnancy symptoms so early last time hmm

Yesterday 22:58 WindyTriller

Hello smile can I join in please? BFP last week and today I am 4+6 with DC2 - due date 12th April. Bit shocked as we'd only DTD twice after deciding to TTC (following over a year of being unable to agree to TTC) shock Very pleased though. I felt I was pg the second time we DTD as my boobs felt too sensitive but I thought I was just being crazy until AF didn't arrive! 3 tests later and there was no doubt!

Symptom wise I am very tired, boobs ridiculously tender, very windy/gurgly belly, and rather "loose" (sorry TMI), slight indigestion and nausea. Had severe HG last time so am just wondering if/when that will kick in. Only DH and my best friend know so far.

Got a few social engagements coming up and a family holiday which are going to be a tad awkward trying to keep it secret as they are before I will get my first scan. Got my booking in appt on 15th Sep (seems AGES away!)

windy - very similar to me, dithered about TTC and then had two attempts this month, voila! Took a year of diligent temp charting and too many ovulation tests to mention last time round!

DH is very unfazed by the news - he's in the middle of a work deadline and didn't wholly appreciate me waving a pissy stick in his face! hmm

Yesterday 23:59 WindyTriller

bubbins sounds like my DH, just takes everything in his stride like it's an everyday occurrence!

Lol at "pissy stick"

Today 01:20 Lizabells174

Can I join the club too? A little surprise parcel that neither me or the hubby were expecting! I'm due 3 days before my 40th birthday and I'm 50% excited 50% terrified! We are also immigrating, hubby started a new job overseas so I'm in the process of following him, so I haven't had the chance to tell him yet! Don't think this is a conversation for FaceTime!!! This will be child2 for me, my son is about to turn 18 so I feel like I'm a first timer!

I feel tired, achey and I cannot tolerate spicy foods already! Hope all you ladies are feeling well?

Today 05:33 MonkeyArms

Congratulations for all the new BFPs. Between you you must have set the record for the most pregnancies with fewest DTDs.....!

Today 06:12 jpeg28

Hi can I join? I'm a little nervous to! Just got my BFP... Had a MC in March so I'm petrified but also excited! My app says due date 21st April grin

Today 06:29 drinkyourmilk

Wow! Look at all our due dates already.
Congratulations to all the new bfp's flowers

Today 06:57 Allaboutthecake13

Congratulations all! Can I join, please? Been TTC for DC1 since May and got my BFP on Saturday (and Sunday just to make sure). I have very regular cycles so Ovia has put me at 4 + 6 and due date April 13.

Had a few symptoms - sore boobs and nipples (although they have sore boobs seem much less so today, which of course has worried me), some pulling feelings in my abdomen (esp when lying down) and feeling a bit nauseous. Also feel very tired and hungry but am usually a big sleeper so not sure how much of a real change that is!

Today 07:13 cantmakeme

I'd like to join too. Thought I a lady had, but guess I forgot! Congrats to all here!

Due 15 April. Having a scan later this month as my previous pregnancy was ectopic.

Today 07:14 cantmakeme

Already, not "a lady" - phone!!

Today 07:21 finova

Congratulations!
