I now have thrush Hmm. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Bubbinsmakesthree · 09/08/2016 22:29

Hello can I join? Got the two magic lines this evening, and just taking it all in. This would be DC2 for us, DS has just turned 2. It almost feels too easy and too perfect. This month was the first month we really TTC properly after DS. I wanted to complete my family by the time I was 40 and lo, my due date is my 40th birthday! And the age gap would be exactly the same as between me and my brother which has always been the model for me. I feel I don't deserve to be this lucky!

Last pregnancy was a bit stressful, lots of extra tests and worry - this time I am determined to take it as it comes and try to appreciate it more - all being well this will be the last time I do it!

Avengerhart85 · 09/08/2016 22:31

Hi can I join?
Got a faint bfp yesterday (tested 2 days early Blush) then darker bfp today... TTC since May so 4 weeks tomorrow!
2nd baby & feels like I am so much further on I'm sure I don't remember pregnancy symptoms so early last time Hmm

WindyTriller · 09/08/2016 22:58

Hello :) can I join in please? BFP last week and today I am 4+6 with DC2 - due date 12th April. Bit shocked as we'd only DTD twice after deciding to TTC (following over a year of being unable to agree to TTC) Shock Very pleased though. I felt I was pg the second time we DTD as my boobs felt too sensitive but I thought I was just being crazy until AF didn't arrive! 3 tests later and there was no doubt!

Symptom wise I am very tired, boobs ridiculously tender, very windy/gurgly belly, and rather "loose" (sorry TMI), slight indigestion and nausea. Had severe HG last time so am just wondering if/when that will kick in. Only DH and my best friend know so far.

Got a few social engagements coming up and a family holiday which are going to be a tad awkward trying to keep it secret as they are before I will get my first scan. Got my booking in appt on 15th Sep (seems AGES away!)

Bubbinsmakesthree · 09/08/2016 23:20

windy - very similar to me, dithered about TTC and then had two attempts this month, voila! Took a year of diligent temp charting and too many ovulation tests to mention last time round!

DH is very unfazed by the news - he's in the middle of a work deadline and didn't wholly appreciate me waving a pissy stick in his face! Hmm

WindyTriller · 09/08/2016 23:59

bubbins sounds like my DH, just takes everything in his stride like it's an everyday occurrence!

Lol at "pissy stick"

Lizabells174 · 10/08/2016 01:20

Can I join the club too? A little surprise parcel that neither me or the hubby were expecting! I'm due 3 days before my 40th birthday and I'm 50% excited 50% terrified! We are also immigrating, hubby started a new job overseas so I'm in the process of following him, so I haven't had the chance to tell him yet! Don't think this is a conversation for FaceTime!!! This will be child2 for me, my son is about to turn 18 so I feel like I'm a first timer!

I feel tired, achey and I cannot tolerate spicy foods already! Hope all you ladies are feeling well?

MonkeyArms · 10/08/2016 05:33

Congratulations for all the new BFPs. Between you you must have set the record for the most pregnancies with fewest DTDs.....!

jpeg28 · 10/08/2016 06:12

Hi can I join? I'm a little nervous to! Just got my BFP... Had a MC in March so I'm petrified but also excited! My app says due date 21st April Grin

drinkyourmilk · 10/08/2016 06:29

Wow! Look at all our due dates already.
Congratulations to all the new bfp's Flowers

Allaboutthecake13 · 10/08/2016 06:57

Congratulations all! Can I join, please? Been TTC for DC1 since May and got my BFP on Saturday (and Sunday just to make sure). I have very regular cycles so Ovia has put me at 4 + 6 and due date April 13.

Had a few symptoms - sore boobs and nipples (although they have sore boobs seem much less so today, which of course has worried me), some pulling feelings in my abdomen (esp when lying down) and feeling a bit nauseous. Also feel very tired and hungry but am usually a big sleeper so not sure how much of a real change that is!

cantmakeme · 10/08/2016 07:13

I'd like to join too. Thought I a lady had, but guess I forgot! Congrats to all here!

Due 15 April. Having a scan later this month as my previous pregnancy was ectopic.

cantmakeme · 10/08/2016 07:14

Already, not "a lady" - phone!!

finova · 10/08/2016 07:21

Bimble14 · 10/08/2016 07:46

Congratulations everyone Smile. I was up at 3am absolutely ravenous so had to get up and have a banana as I couldn't fall back to sleep.

finova · 10/08/2016 07:53

Bowl of cottage cheese for me the other night. Love it 😁

WindyTriller · 10/08/2016 07:56

Random symptom and wondering if anyone else has the same? Rather than morning sickness I have a morning issue with the other end, waking up and desperate to go for a number 2 (sorry I know TMI) completely wrong end of the day to my normal rhythm!

Cazbg · 10/08/2016 08:31

Can I join? I am joining very tentatively as I am 6 wks with 2nd child. already had a few miscarriages - 1 natural and 2 missed. Have a scan on friday and super nervous.

marmitecheesetoast · 10/08/2016 08:51

Hi windy I am experiencing the same! Don't know if maybe I am more predisposed to it cos I suffer with ibs on and off. Hoping it doesn't last too long! I am also now feeling totally exhausted but also very restless sleep, waking up so many times in the night Hmm

summerskittles91 · 10/08/2016 09:03

currently sat in the office, and nausea has kicked in fully Sad any recommendations on what I should/shouldn't eat? help!

I think I'm going to have to tell my boss asap now Blush

finova · 10/08/2016 09:11

Sorry not sure. Toast? Crackers? Would travel sickness bands possibly help?

summerskittles91 · 10/08/2016 09:14

Had toast this am. will look into the travel sickness bands - thanks!

Allaboutthecake13 · 10/08/2016 09:20

Heard barley sugars are quite good for nausea (I'm off to buy some at lunch).

I'm finding that I am feeling nauseous and hungry at the same time, so constantly grazing (almonds, bananas, crackers) is helping. Colleagues must I'm bloody greedy tho!
