Hi, I've added myself on. Due April 3rd. Had a scare yesterday- woke with severe pains and bleeding. Went to EPU this morning and everything looking good. Have another scan next week with my ivf clinic and the following Tuesday at EPU, so should hopefully see heartbeat by then.

It sounds to me like normal pg symptoms Jones. Some ladies have a whole heap of symptoms and some barely any at all, it's luck of the draw I think!

If it were me though I'd go to my GP so ensure you're not anaemic or something? Take care x

Cineraria · 09/08/2016 17:13

That must have been scary, drink. Glad everything is ok and they could scan you quickly to reassure you.

choccybiscuit · 09/08/2016 17:41

Gosh drink that must have been so scary. I'm glad everything looks ok.

Hands up, Who's been looking at prams already?!! I'm so tempted and only found out on Saturday Grin.

finova · 09/08/2016 17:58

I think I know which one I want already!
(Single version of my previous double I'm not that bad!!)

Jones1980 · 09/08/2016 18:12

Well just got off the phone with midwife got my first appointment the 18 told her about my symptoms she said it's normal just my hormones Iwe are so excited can't wait to see them make sure everything is OK and thank you celen

Celen · 09/08/2016 18:14

Welcome Smile

Glad everything is ok drink, must have been very worrying.

choccybiscuit · 09/08/2016 18:16

That's good news jones. I think I would like the same one I had with dd2, the Sola. I loved it!

drinkyourmilk · 09/08/2016 18:19

Thanks ladies, we were convinced I was miscarrying so cried floods yesterday and then again when we saw the (ridiculously underwhelming ) scan.

Choccy- I was a nanny for years. Already have my eye on a bugaboo as was my favourite pushchair when I had little ones. Husband isn't convinced.

drinkyourmilk · 09/08/2016 18:21

Jones - I was very ill for the first 2 weeks after bfp, then they just disappeared. EPU sister said it because you get hit with a huge influx of hormones. Most women settle after a few weeks. Fingers crossed for you

Jones1980 · 09/08/2016 18:29

Thank you drinkyourmilk. Because of my age 35 I thought it was going to be hard to get pregnant but lucky for us we tryed for 6 months and it has happened so I am really excited but scared to trying to be careful in every thing I do so I've got fingers and toes crossed

Jones1980 · 09/08/2016 19:05

Oh so glad everything is OK drinkyourmilk

naranciata · 09/08/2016 19:09

Welcome Bimble Smile and Happy Birthday Naranciata !! Flowers Cake

zambean · 09/08/2016 19:26

I'm finding it so hard not to worry in these early weeks. I'm 5w3d which means I've got 7 weeks until a scan. And I'm so worried about miscarriage and I've been reading articles about all the things that can go wrong, and convincing myself it's impossible that this pregnancy will all go smoothly!

Helbelle75 · 09/08/2016 19:44

I'm with you there zambean. Just been talking to dh about this after our m mc earlier this year. We're over the moon that I'm pregnant again, and trying not to get too worried and to just let nature to its thing, but it's so difficult.
Just remember that lots of people have healthy pregnancies and lovely bouncy babies at the end, so it is possible xx

Jones1980 · 09/08/2016 19:48

Arh bless you zambean I would say read mumnet week by week it's a good read and don't read bad things keep positive I'm about the same far as you I'm 6 weeks Friday I'm just keeping positive it's my first so looking forward to it I know it's worrying but stay positive

marmitecheesetoast · 09/08/2016 19:49

I'm exactly the same zambean and helbelle. It's so hard not to worry in these early days. I got invited to an interview today for a job I applied for just before getting BFP. Obviously I'm not going to go now. But it is an amazing opportunity, lots more money. It is kind of hard to make these big decisions based on something that still has a fairly high chance of not sticking?

Happy birthday Naran! Cake I too would find it strange celebrating without fizz!!

everdene · 09/08/2016 19:56

Marmite I would still go for the interview! I got a promotion the day I got my BFP. In the long run having an amazing, motivated and highly skilled member of the team is valuable, even if you have a few months off - over the course of a whole career it's not much.

Plus you could use it as a lever to get a pay rise if you stay where you are! Wink

Esker · 09/08/2016 20:16

Happy birthday Naranciata! It's amazing how much cheaper posh meals can be when you don't drink, so make sure you order the most expensive dishes on the menu Grin
