Congrats singtome, why are you scared?

I am nervous too... I have a 5 yo DD. Two years ago I had an ectopic pregnancy. Afraid of another one!

SingToMeInFrench · 05/08/2016 09:30

So sorry to hear that Flowers

We are skint. Two loans, big mortgage, I'm the main earner and I worry about my career (teacher). Plus I was terrified in DS' first few months, had PND really bad.

gemsbok · 05/08/2016 09:34

Hi to all the new BFPs.

DP has told his 2 best mates, but I've told no-one in real life (a few friends from my previous baby mums net group). I'm seeing some friends for dinner tonight and tempted to say, but one friend blabbed last time, so not sure if I can trust her.

Got my booking in appt on 23rd - definitely getting real.

gemsbok We have the booking in appointment on the same day :) I'll be 8+1 then.

gemsbok · 05/08/2016 12:18

Yay skittles Smile I think I'll be 8+3

It's nice to have a date to focus on as the next step

zambean · 05/08/2016 12:26

Huge congrats Snappychi!

You must be feeling anxious though. Crossing everything for you, hoping for good results today.

marmitecheesetoast · 05/08/2016 12:40

Hi all, I'm tentatively poking my head round the door. Got BFP yesterday, ttc#1 and this was only cycle 3. Feeling a bit mental as really didn't expect anything to happen so soon! Although obviously it's v early days yet. Calculator says I'd be due on 18th April. Even just writing that down feels insane!

Not had much in the way of symptoms yet, mainly feeling quite bloated and windy the last week or soBlush plus my stomach has been making really loud gurgly noises the last few days (kinda embarrassing at work!) and I've felt vaguely lightheaded a few times (put that down to standing up to quickly earlier this week til I tested yesterday!)

I have literally no idea what I'm actually supposed to do now?! Felt armed with info for the whole ttc bit but not this part at all!

How's everyone else with newly arrived bfps feeling!? Hoping I'm not the only one feeling this insane!! Grin

zambean · 05/08/2016 12:45

Congrats Marmite! Also, you have just made me want some marmite cheese on toast. Think I'll make some after I've posted this message Grin

I am a bit insane, in that I am just so impatient. I can't wait to tell people, to see the midwife, to have a scan, just to feel like it's real. Right now, even though I'm completely exhausted and my boobs hurt, it just doesn't feel real, and I have to keep reminding myself than in eight months time I will have a BABY!!! Shock

I don't know what to do now either. Except try to keep busy and distracted!

finova · 05/08/2016 13:05

gemsbok and summerskittles, I'm booking in on the 23rd too! I'll be 7 weeks exactly!

summerskittles91 · 05/08/2016 13:12

finova gemsbok So exciting to know other people are booking in on the same day! It has made it all feel more real now. At least it something to look forward to before the 12 week scan :)

LotsaTuddles · 05/08/2016 13:17

Should probably go and register for mw. I just can't bring myself to do it, feel like I'll be jinxing myself too much.

I'll ring epu next Thursday and hope they book my scan quickly, then I'll go and do it I think

marmitecheesetoast · 05/08/2016 14:08

Haha zambean that is the problem with the name - I love a good cheese and marmite toastie!

I am feeling really off at work today, my tummy is really dodgy. Urgh.

I've booked an appointment with GP I guess that's what I'm supposed to do first?! It's on 15th August. That's probably a good amount of time away to get my head around it a bit more Hmm

I just reallt didn't expect to get a BFP on cycle 3 Hmm

summerskittles91 · 05/08/2016 14:46

Lotsa I hope you get your scan booked soon! x

Littlespoon · 05/08/2016 14:53

Hello all.....
I've been lurking for a few days, but think I'm ready to join if you'll have me?
I'm 4+6, with an EDD of 8th April. This will be my second as I have a DD who is 2 years, 4 months.
I've made my booking in appointment, it's on the 23rd too!
Feeling exhausted, not sleeping well (had pregnancy insomnia last time round so really hoping it's not here to stay!), bouts of nausea and been sick twice this week!
Hope you are all doing ok Smile

Marmite you might not need a GP's appointment - I rang my surgery and told them I was pregnant and they gave me the number to book in with the midwives directly.

summerskittles91 · 05/08/2016 15:17

Hey Littlespoon welcome to the club :) I can imagine you're exhausted especially with having DD. This is my first pregnancy and I've never felt so tired in my life Hmm Rated to everyone who is pregnant and currently has a DC!

Can't believe so many people are booking in on the 23rd! How exciting Smile

BestBeastie · 05/08/2016 15:36

Littlespoon I have pregnancy insomnia too. Last time, it came in during the 6th week (pregnant with DS in 2011). But this I've had since a few days before my BFP. Exactly the same pattern - waking at 1-2 being a bit Hmm until 5-6 (more like 6) when I manage to catch a bit of shut eye.

Driving me nuts already - can't afford to be this dopey for so long - lots to do!

Did anything work for you last time - can't say I cracked anything...

love2003 · 05/08/2016 16:49

summerskittles finavon littlespoon and gemsbok.... I also have my booking in on 23rd August!!! How exciting. I'll be 9+2 by then.

love2003 · 05/08/2016 16:49

Sorry finova... Was trying to remember everyone's names from scrolling through!

Mamato1 · 05/08/2016 17:04

I'm unsure what to do about GP/midwife/booking in. I only did this 2 years ago and have completely forgotten everything!
I'm currently approx 4+1 so very early and I've moved house so my current GP is a bit of a trek. Not sure whether to book in there and then change GP just in case it takes an age to register etc.
It's all very exciting but equally terrifying!

finova · 05/08/2016 17:15

I moved just before DS2, don't think It took long to register with new GP.
