My 2/3 day estimation (before actual throwing up would start) was incorrect Sad

Phoned the direct access number for the midwife today so just waiting for a booking in appt to come though the post, exciting!

SussexNadia · 05/08/2016 20:41

Congratulations everyone!

I've got bad nausea (I'm 6+2), and it's bloody awful. I'm so envious of the ladies that don't suffer from it!

I'm like the green eyed monster!!!

finova · 06/08/2016 07:39

Morning all, just used up my last pregnancy test, a nice strong positive.
I had some painless cramps last night, like Braxton Hicks which had me a bit worried. Hope it's just cause my body's done this twice before.

Poor you SussexNadia.
How's everyone else feeling?
Think I'm going to start the bio oil regime soon to try and fix the habit!

MissMooMoo · 06/08/2016 09:34

Hello everyone!
Got my bfp yesterday. I am due on the 11.
First baby for me and DH.

finova · 06/08/2016 09:41

Congratulations! I'm did on the 11th too!

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 10:13

Congrats missmoomoo! No 1 for me here too.

I'm feeling knackered this morning, can't seem to get myself out of bed! It's been an emotional rollercoaster of a few days though I guess! Also, I've had to poo three times already this morning and horrible diarrhoea yesterday afternoon Blush plus my tummy is making very weird washing machine like noises. Anyone else having this?!

MissMooMoo · 06/08/2016 12:12

Yes i am also having to poo a few times a day!
Just have a lot of cramps (feels like period or needing a poo) so always worried I will see some blood on my next trip to the loo, probably just paranoid!

My little sister is also pregnant,13 weeks now so I'm bouncing lots of questions off her.

summerskittles91 · 06/08/2016 12:30

A bit of a TMI question.. Is anyone not having sex at the moment? Me and DH hadn't since BFP. We did yesterday and it just wasn't enjoyable Confused I have no energy or desire for it. Anyone else feeling like this?

MissMooMoo · 06/08/2016 12:33

No we haven't either, I don't feel up to it at all.

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 12:37

That's lovely you and your sister are pregnant together moomoo and that you have someone to ask questions of! I don't have any close friends or family who've had babies yet so feel a bit alone with this!

MissMooMoo · 06/08/2016 12:44

Aw well you have us!
I actually live away from my family and am finding it a bit daunting to think we will have a baby with little family around.
I grew up in Canada and all my family is still there. DH is a Londoner and I moved over here.
His mum passed away when he was 7 and his dad was not involved with his life.
He has 2 aunts that live nearby but thats it!
Im also the first in my group of friends to have a baby.

finova · 06/08/2016 12:47

I was the 1st in my friends too.
Nct group was helpful towards end of pregnancy and in first year.
Made good friends at baby massage too.
I was worried I wouldn't know anyone but was quite easy to make new friends.

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 17:15

Aww thanks moomoo!

choccybiscuit · 06/08/2016 17:34

Hi everyone!
Just got my bfp about an hour ago! Was so shocked. Ttc #3 on 4th cycle, dd2 took 2 years tc and fertility drugs so I was thinking it was going to take a while! I had an early mc in march so i hope this sticks. Dh doesn't even know yet. I'm still stunned to be honest. Looking forward to getting to know you all better and when I can get my brain in gear I'll try and read through the thread. Hope everyone stays well 😊

Mamato1 · 06/08/2016 18:43

Thanks for the advice re Changing GPs everyone and congrats to new BFPs! I'm going to ring the GP on Monday to get registered and get the ball rolling. I can't believe I'm doing all this again so soon. DS is 19 months and I feel like I've just blinked since I was doing it all with him!

I've also had the multiple poops and have started getting nauseous already at 4+2. I'm getting the horrendous fatigue and hunger too as well as really greasy skin/hair. Anyone else have these symptoms?

naranciata · 06/08/2016 23:51

SOOO hungry. Had a BBQ today and ate 2 burgers, a sausage a huge portion of potato salad and two corn on the cobs! Suppose it helped to divert my friends' attention away from the fact I wasn't drinking - just stuffed my face the whole time!

Finding it ok not drinking, I suppose with the weather being so hot it's nice not to have the extra dehydration from alcohol. I still really want a cigarette though. I know it's awful.

Cineraria · 07/08/2016 04:47

Congratulations to the new people!

I frightened the life out of myself this morning when I did a Clearblue digital test with the date indicator, expecting to see 3+ weeks on it and only got 2-3, the same as last Saturday. I thought things must have stopped progressing until I remembered I'd drunk a pint of water three hours earlier when I'd got up to feed DS which must have diluted my FMU and skewed the result. I saved my next urine and bought a new test later, which was ok, thank goodness.

finova · 07/08/2016 09:04

Congratulations to the new people!
Number 3 for me too choccy, it happened on my 2nd cycle-shouldn't be a surprise as other 2 were cycle 1 and 3 but still a shock when that line appears.
Really hope it sticks as I think April is a great time of year to be born, my other 2 were winter babies.

I'm really tired but seem to have a bit of insomnia.
Naranciata I'm eating loads but trying to really up my fruit and veg and also red meat.
That's good Cineraria! I'm not going to buy any more tests as I'm hoping to have an early scan.

MissMooMoo · 07/08/2016 09:26

Does anyone else suffer from hayfever?
DH and I both have it bad and my gp said that the tablets are not safe to take in pregnancy.
I've been drinking a lot of tesco value lemomade Blush the fizzy feels nice on my scratchy throat.
I'm off to the chemist later to see what i can take, nose spray? Eye drops? Anyone have any advice?

Cineraria · 07/08/2016 09:32

I have hayfever too, Miss, but mine disappears during pregnancy.

I think most antihistamines are not officially tested for use in pregnancy which is why they don't like you to have them but I think there are some that are used and haven't caused problems, as I think the doctors told me ones I could use when we went to MiL's house as I'm very allergic to cats and find I difficult to breathe. We didn't go, so I can't remember which ones.

LotsaTuddles · 07/08/2016 10:39

Yep they just don't know because they don't do drugs testing on pregnant women (obviously). With my dc I was further along in the summer so I don't know if it's different for 1st trimester but I had the nose spray and eye drops and the odd sneaky swig of ds' piriton Blush

love2003 · 07/08/2016 11:27

I went to see my gp as first few days after my bfp my hayfever was awful and I wasn't sure if antihistamines were safe. I use cetirizine and my gp said they are safe, though not to use regularly and only in worst case scenario. I would use nasal spray and eye drops in first instance. Like other ladies said, I just don't think there is enough research on their use in pregnancy.

MissMooMoo · 07/08/2016 11:59

Ok good to know.
I usually take one everyday Blush which probably isn't good for you.
Chemist gave me some nasel spray and some eyedrops so hopefully they give me some relief.
If I get desperate I will call my gp for advice.

marmitecheesetoast · 07/08/2016 12:03

Glad you got something moomoo. I am in similar situation with bad eczema on my hand. Having a bad flare up just now which I usually use steroid cream on but don't think I can use that. Got my GP appointment a week tomorrow so will see what she says then. I also suffer from IBS, it's been much more under control recently, but maybe that's why I seem to be more susceptible to upset tummy this last week? Anyway I know you can't take immodoum when you're pregnant so wondering if there is anything I can take to calm it down if needs be. This is why I'm thinking I'll just go see my GP in the first instance anyway rather than phoning up and just getting midwife number.

choccybiscuit · 07/08/2016 14:19

Finova April is a great time of the year to be born. We're quite lucky really most of our pregnancy is through winter so we won't get too hot and sticky. My due date is my dd1 birthday!
