elle yes we had a little yawn then stuck it's tongue out and decided it was time to shove a foot and hand in its face! We got brilliant images though I felt so lucky as the sonographer said she hardly ever gets clear face shots first time.

Laurenrl · 20/07/2016 21:17

I would've guessed boy too miley not long to wait and see now!!

Pinklily1 · 20/07/2016 21:30

Wonderful pictures Miley! I am always surprised by how clear the are.

I'm going to guess a boy too!

IrregularCommentary · 20/07/2016 21:33

Miley they are great - I've never seen such detail around the mouth before.

I'm going boy too.

IndiX · 20/07/2016 21:44

Evening ladies!
I'm going to try to catch up as best I can.

Miley amazing photos! I wish Beanie had been that co-operative, I definitely think boy. He/she is a cutie.

Stardrey one of my close friends called her baby Ezra last year, lovely name. I also liked all your girls names too, you're going to have a tough job picking one.

I'm sorry you're all not enjoying the heat. It's SO hot here in Spain and I've burnt my back a bit but I'm just grateful to sleep with the air con on every night. Going on a boat trip tomorrow which should be nice. 28 weeks today and I am officially in the 3rd trimester, I can't wait to meet my Beanie. I just want the time to fly by!
Will keep having a read through and catching up where I can. Hope you all have your fans on ready for bed!

Mileymoocow · 20/07/2016 21:52

It's been a unanimous team blue from everyone that has seen except my stepdad and OHs mum.

Thanks indi, beanies were adorable too. Glad you're enjoying your holiday.

I'm over the moon with how detailed they are, I can't stop staring at pouty lips and squishy nose. Best £50 I've ever spent Grin

Hope everyone is okay, it's too hot again tonight and I've gone up like a puffafish Blush I've filled the bath with lukewarm water and am just sitting on the edge dipping my feet and ankles with a glass of milk and some gaviscon tablets. Never did I think I'd see myself in such a weird situation.

Laurenrl · 20/07/2016 21:58

£50 miley? What a bargain! Mine was 75 and I thought that was cheap!

I've been cheered up after disaster viewing by a piece of work my cousin did at school today, what a sweetheart!

Canters15 · 20/07/2016 22:01

Hello all! We are moved into the new house now but no internet yet which is ruining all my fun. House is absolutely gorgeous, I am chuffed to bits with it, am amazed at how it just feels like our family home already.

miley your 4d is amazing! I had gone off the idea as think they can look a bit creepy, but this has swung me right back round to wanting one. I am going to be controversial and go girl as that's what I thought when I saw the first pic, but let's see!

stardrey I adore the name Ezra, it's been on my list for years but sadly dh no likely. Probably just as well as it sounds daft with our surname....but.....I do love it.

The heat is driving me mad. My ankles have started swelling and I am just so hot and grumpy and tired. Roll on the weekend!

Co5mo · 20/07/2016 22:05

Just wondering...can you get stretch marks on your ankles? My ankles have swollen in the heat today and I have assumed a very similar position to you Miley.

LillianFullStop · 20/07/2016 23:07

Just checking in and will try to catch up on the thread!

Omg those 3D pics are awesome miley!!! so lucky to be able to get such a good view of the LO!

audrey that's a great name selection! I need to get my list going soon.

Glad to hear your dad's health is looking up bunch fingers crossed he will be home in good time.

potato they should know better than to mess with a pg lady!!!

I am feeling huge now at 25+4. I have my GTT appointment on Friday which I'm not looking forward to (slightly needle phobic you would think I'd be used to it by now with all the prodding and poking we get as if we are pincushions). How long do they normally take for the results? I'm hoping for a negative so I can safely class as low risk and qualify for a midwife-led birth. Also need this other scan to come asap so I can stop worrying about this low lying placenta seen at 20w scan. I really don't want a c section !!!!

LillianFullStop · 21/07/2016 00:15

Oops I'm actually 26+4!

Canters and Cosmo I'm getting swollen legs and ankles too with the heat!

Co5mo · 21/07/2016 06:34

My ankles have gone down overnight Lillian but they felt like the skin could tear last night. I have much more sympathy for some of my patients now. Didn't realise how uncomfortable it could be.

When is your next scan? Fx your placenta keeps clear of your cervix.

BunchOfBobs · 21/07/2016 06:38

Lillian I got my results same day but mine were sent off as a priority due to baby's estimated weight.

Tips for the swollen feet and legs, something finally helped. Last night DH massaged all the fluid up my legs. I spent half the night peeing but this morning they're the most deflated they've been in a fortnight. It helps that it's cooled down too. Also elevate them above your hips if you can. I struggle though as it hurts my hips too much.

Mileymoocow · 21/07/2016 07:37

My feet haven't gone down much from last night so I think I'll get OH to massage mine. Thanks for the tip bunch, sometimes the pulsating is unbearable!

canters I thought the same about them and was definitely not getting one until I saw a few on here and they are adorable! I feel much more bonded with baby now I've seen actual features. It was lovely for OH as well as he can't feel the movement etc.

lillian I can't help you - we don't get GTT here, just urine and blood tests I think.

Another bloody warm day today. Siiiiiiiigh

PotatosMum · 21/07/2016 07:40

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Indi congrats on reaching the third trimester. Enjoy your boat trip.

Miley it sounds like your 4D scan turned out to be a bargain Grin

Canters so glad you've moved and are happy in your new home.
Here's hoping the hot weather breaks soon and we can all regain some semblance of comfort!

Cosmo no idea about ankle stretch marks but I've never heard of anyone getting them.

Lillian you get the GTT results pretty quickly. I had a midwife appointment the next day and she was able to tell me then.
When is your next scan?

I've got my 34 week scan today... Only one more after this eek! Even now I'm getting a little nervous, you'd think after so many scans I'd be immune to pre scan jitters but apparently not.

OH is feeling quite poorly which is really bad timing. I'm also a bit worried I'll catch whatever he has which would not be fun Sad

Little bit of good news though. We've agreed that were not having the kids until Sunday. We should have had them from tonight but DSD has a school disco which would have been a nightmare as its the other side of town and exw has obviously twigged that that long being stuck in a stifling flat with a pregnant lady who can't take them out would not be fair on the children. Smile

Oh so she is capable of thinking of anyone else except herself then potato! Bloody hell Wink good luck for your scan, everything will be perfect I'm sure.

Finally chosen our favourite picture. Sorry for scan spam I'm just very excited!

PotatosMum · 21/07/2016 08:23

Lol Miley I imagine it was born out of the children having a few tantrums about the situation. She can't handle them at all and usually gives in if they scream and shout... That never happens when we have them because they know the more they tantrum the less likely we are to give them what they want.

That's another really lovely scan Smile

BunchOfBobs · 21/07/2016 09:25

Aww Miley looks like baby is cuddling up to you and clearly very much enjoying it.

Just had a call from the midwife, consultant wants to see me at hospital on Tuesday and DH throwing his toys out the pram as its not a suitable time for him. Looks like I'm going alone.

Feefeefs · 21/07/2016 09:27

Lovely scans. You would think coming at 9am would mean you didn't have to wait 30+mins to see the GP. No such luck.

Sodasoda · 21/07/2016 09:38

Slightly cooler this morning - phew!

I woke up to leaking boobs! Shock Eek! That definitely woke me up!

Working from home today as I've got whooping cough vaccine booked and I'm also waiting for mothercare delivery of cot bed and changing table - really excited!

Baby has been kicking up a storm since the scare the other day so fingers crossed it was just having a lazy day.

Miley - amazing pics, so clear!

Irregular - it took me a while to work out your name ! Baby brain! Glad you approve Smile
*
Potato* - good luck for the growth scan and glad you're getting a bit of space from the kids!

Amazingly my cankles have been a bit better the last few days despite the heat. I've been drinking my body weight in water which I think has helped.

Mileymoocow · 21/07/2016 10:02

Bunch do you have any idea what for? Hope all is well!

feef it always amazes me how they can fall behind on the first appointment of the day! It's almost like they think we don't have anything better to do... my midwife is always a 30+ minute wait.

soda glad baby is wriggling more! Maybe just a little too hot the other day. To be fair, I couldn't be arsed to move either Grin

A girl at work who is also pregnant just asked if she could see my scan. I showed her and she said "that's awful. It's so freaky! I'm not going to bother wasting my money." Hmm Fair enough if that's what she thinks but don't call my baby awful and freaky, bitch Angry

BunchOfBobs · 21/07/2016 10:18

To discuss scan results and if they'll let me go naturally Miley. DH now sorted work so will apparently be there.
Tell her "if I were you I wouldn't bother either, you'll never get as gorgeous pictures as mine". Cheeky bitch.

PotatosMum · 21/07/2016 12:38

Miley I hope you informed the woman at work just how rude she is.

Bunch hope the consultant appointment goes well and you get to decide what you want to do.

Growth scan went well. We couldn't really see Potato as she's so big now but all looked good, her tummy is a bit big and her head is a bit small but all within tolerance. She's about 5.5lbs which I'm also happy with. No more growth scans now as apparently we're too close to delivery Shock

I've had some bad news regarding the house today. This morning we got the papers to exchange on the house we're buying and we were all excited but this afternoon my estate agent called to say she'd spoken to the sellers and they have found a house now and no longer intent to move out and rent, instead they're going to stay put and wait for their house to complete (which it is no where near) they're the ones who dictated we needed to complete in the first two weeks of August and now they're saying mid to end of August.
I'm absolutely devastated and nearly burst into tears on the phone. There's now pretty much no chance we'll move before the baby's born and instead of going home to our nice new home we'll be coming home to a one bed flat full of boxes which is upsetting enough but we also don't know if I will be ill after and if so how ill. It's not inconceivable that I'll have to stay in hospital for a while and the thought of coming home with a newborn and then having to move is really upsetting. They know the situation we're in so I can't believe they would be as callus as to wait until we're ready to exchange before telling us that they're going to change the completion window.
Nasty horrible people. I hope their new house has no end of problems and their neighbours are evil! (I'm a little upset)

PotatosMum · 21/07/2016 13:22

Well that was a load of bloody stress for nothing.
Apparently our vendor didn't say they wouldn't vacate, they said the first was a bit short notice and asked if we would contribute a couple of hundred towards their storage costs.
We've said no and are now aiming for the fifth. It looks like the sellers estate agent was just trying to lay it on thick to get money out of us Angry
