Eek Audrey. So exciting when that happens.

Dads walk around his room went well. Tomorrow is the wards and they'll hopefully be no stopping him. If he keeps as he is they're letting him out on Tuesday woohoo! No mention of when flying yet.

On a tmi note my piles are out of control and are starting to bother me other than when on the loo. Itching and sore now. Sad

Welcome Pyxie.

Canters15 · 14/07/2016 22:11

Lovely, thanks miley!

may we're moving this weekend from a tiny flat to a four bed townhouse! Still renting but new house is gorgeous, I'm so excited. Cant believe youre feeling movement at 15 weeks that's fab!

bunch what have you tried for piles so far? Anusol?

BunchOfBobs · 14/07/2016 22:31

Canters I tried anusol ointment externally, that did jack. Tried with the applicator. Nothing. Then went for suppositories and external ointment. Still nothing. Gave up
And they've got worse so I guess it's back to the ointment as it kept them under control. I'm not struggling to go the loo or anything but they're getting worse regardless.

Co5mo · 15/07/2016 06:38

Cosmo 35, 27+1 team blue, late to the party again.

I've so far avoided the dreaded piles but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Sending sympathy.

PotatosMum · 15/07/2016 07:27

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

Elle I've updated my list so next time it's posted your details will be correct Smile all three teams are now neck and neck Shock

Pyxie welcome back. Can you remind me of you EDD and I'll put you back on the list Smile

Canters I think we've all had trouble working out what's what with vests, body suits and sleep suits but yep, that is a vest.
Must have been so lovely getting all the baby clothes hung up in their proper place in your new house. Are you excited about moving in at the weekend?

Mayo with the baby prep pre-move I had a list of everything I needed and just trawled through it. I also have a big crate I've been slowly filling with clothes and toys. When I actually get into the new house it'll be like Christmas Grin

Irregular hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend Smile

Bunch glad your dad is making good progress. Sounds like he's a tough old thing Wink
Umm... Not to sound gross or anything but are you poking your piles back in after you go to the toilet? It helps Confused

Yay! It's Friday I don't know why I'm excited about that Confused is anyone up to anything nice this weekend?
There's a music thing on all this weekend that my OH wants to pop along to, I think in going to go too but I'm going to have to drive as I can't waddle very far anymore. But apart from that I'm expecting a kid free quiet one Smile
At some point I'm going to have to start packing again but I just feel in limbo until we exchange.

OP posts:
leoniethelioness · 15/07/2016 07:40

Yay, Friday! Two people in DH's team found out late afternoon yesterday that they are going to be made redundant. Stressful day ahead waiting to see if he gets a call from HR today too... Unfortunately, even if there's no call today, it'll be about a week before we will know whether his job is safe. DH seems fine but I feel sick with worry. He will get another job but I am heartbroken by the prospect of having to move. I've not lived in one place for more than three years in the last decade... I just want to stay put. No jobs here though.

leoniethelioness · 15/07/2016 07:42

Also my jeans don't fit. I am going to be yanking them up all day. I've managed without over bump ones so far but I need them now. Think the Topshop ones I wanted have sold out as I can't find them on the website. Grumble grumble grumble.

Can't believe what's happened in Nice either.

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 08:01

Potato unfortunately we're way beyond that. That stopped working a while ago.

Pinklily1 · 15/07/2016 08:35

Morning ladies

bunch, sorry to hear your suffering. Can the doctor prescribe anything more? Sounds like your dad is making good progress which is great.

Potato, are you just waiting for an exchange and completion date now and then you are good to go with the move? I'm so impressed with your organisation when you are effectively between houses!

Leonie, fingers crossed for your DH's job. It's a horrible thing to go through, but hopefully all will work out. I can't say I'm enjoying the stress that comes with it, but not much that can be done.

So exciting that lots of people are beginning to feel movement Smile

Does anyone know when baby is meant to start getting engaged? OH commented last night that he thinks my bump has dropped a bit Hmm I've got my 34 week midwife appointment on Wednesday so will see what the midwife says then.

Pyxie · 15/07/2016 09:05

Thanks Potato my edd is 5th Nov.

I'm meeting my 2 week old nephew tomorrow, slightly anxious as babies always seem to cry when I hold them!

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 09:20

Big ballcocks. Dad isn't allowed to fly for 10 days after discharge. So about the 29th if he gets out on Tuesday as planned. He's not allowed to exercise for a month, then gentle for the month after that. Off work for 2 months but coming home a week later than planned and into my 38th week, cutting it fine much!! Good news is they think no permanent heart damage. Thank fook!

Canters15 · 15/07/2016 09:44

bunch unfortunately the only thing that will improve them is delivery (of baby!). Back in my surgical days I used to give instiagel to preg ladies with bad piles for whom nothing else had worked- it's a local anaesthetic gel used for urinary catheterisation- just for a bit of symptomatic relief. Might be worth asking your gp? Glad your dad is doing ok, here's hoping for a smooth recovery and transfer back home.

potato- I love the new house, just can't wait to be in and to set up our family home! Bet you feel the same about your move!

leonie- h&m over the bump jeans are fab!

Canters15 · 15/07/2016 09:45

Grrr, instillagel!! Autocorrect!

IndiX · 15/07/2016 10:43

Morning ladies,
Very sad about what's happened in Nice, I was there a few months back when the Brussells attack happened and felt assured that nothing would happen in Nice as it's such a lovely, safe city. Terrible news.

Bunch I'm sorry about the piles situation, they are horrible! I used germaloids for a couple of days and that seemed to help a bit. Good news your dad is on the mend and should be discharged soon, it's always the way that everything happens at once but hopefully everything will run smoothly now.

Leonie hoping your OH's job is safe, try not to stress easier said than done, I know. Also sorry about the jeans situation, it's a sad day when you realise you have to go in to maternity jeans but once you do you'll be so much more comfier! I agree that H&M do nice over the bump ones. Apparently New Look's maternity jeans are good too.

Think I'm out of my hormonal slumpGrin. My sciatica/back/bum ache is still there but not as bad as the other night, feeling generally cheerier and bigger, hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Anyone got any nice plans?

Mileymoocow · 15/07/2016 11:42

Ovia makes me sad. Apparently this lady is in her 3rd trimester Hmm of she's struggling to DTD what hope do I have?!

bunch great news about your dad! Hopefully he will be home before you know it. I can't help you with the piles situation, unfortunately Sad

pink I think baby can start engaging any time from about 32 weeks! We're still breech over here, pretty sure we have been since our 12 week scan!

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 11:52

Pink I think I Shelb has been engaged a while.

I'm feeling really down about my dad as they're coming home a week late and it's just too close to comfort for me with Pip. Hopefully seeing Pip today at my growth scan will make me feel better. Roll on 3.15pm.

Sodasoda · 15/07/2016 12:22

pink I had a midwife appointment yesterday (31+1) and she said baby's head was down but it could still move so not engaged as such... She said around 34-36 weeks it should actually 'engage' and not move as it'll have no room!

Baby woke me with hiccups this morning - first time I've felt it and it was really cute!

Sorry about piles. I'm seriously amazed that I don't have them worse as I've had awful constipation from the start.

Sympathies on the jeans situation. However - there's a next stage! I'm fed up of over the bump jeans and have now embraced leggings!!

I'm off to best friends hen do this weekend (I'm bridesmaid at 36 weeks - eek!) in Devon so will hopefully be good. There's lots I won't be taking part in (gin tasting, rock climbing!) but I'm sure I'll still have fun).

bunch - your dad has got through the op and is on the mend so try and stay positive. Enjoy the growth scan!

Hope everyone else has nice weekends planned

Pinklily1 · 15/07/2016 15:27

Bunch, try to keep positive and relax as much as you can. I know that will be easier said than done but hopefully a calm and relaxed you will mean baby stays out for longer!

Soda, I'll be 34 weeks on Tuesday so I suppose it would make sense if she's starting to engage.

I'm off to a hen party tonight, just a meal so should be quite civilised! Enjoy your weekend Soda!

PotatosMum · 15/07/2016 16:48

Leonie hope everything works out with OHs job but if not I'm sure something else will come along.

Try NEXT over bump jeans. I've got a couple of pairs and they're great Smile

Bunch not good on the piles front. I guess you'll have to get yourself one of those ring cushions for now to reduce pressure on them Confused

Good news about your dads improvement and 10 days is much better than you thought it would be. I'm sure things will work out.

How was the scan?

Pink yep, we just have two outstanding queries (one on the sale and one on the purchase) then we should be good to exchange. It's driving me mad though as I just want to get it done.

Well, I've had a stressful afternoon. Stupid xBox broke at the weekend bloody kids so I've been trying to fix it. I don't know whether it's my modem or the Xbox wireless card that is knackered but at the moment I've fixed it by using an Ethernet cable. I don't know what we'll do when we move as the router will be in a different room Hmm

Then I had to call my mobile provider as they billed me double what they should have and it was an ordeal getting them to investigate it and correct their mistake.

Finally I had to talk to HR because they'd forgotten to process my maternity leave Hmm again, loads of moaning required but then 5 minutes later it was suddenly sorted and the letter arrived.

Add to that more frustrating emails too and from the solicitor / estate agent with me trying to get them to put more effort into sorting out these queries and quite frankly I'd like a drink! Oh well, only 6 weeks before I can have one Confused

Hi checking in late to the thread!

Nevlet, 26, 32+5 with a boy!

Sorry have been away from the thread think hormones have been bad as have been very irritable and to be honest was finding alot of the moaning was winding me up even more... Knew it would be better to keep myself to myself while I knew I was being a grump! I think am back to a normal mental state now though Smile

Bunch so sorry to hear about your Dad but so glad he is on the mend. Hopefully he will be home to you asap Flowers

Canters congratulations on the house move so exciting!

Potato hopefully you will be in your new house soon too.

Hope everyone else is well and not suffering the moody grumps being a total cowbag that I have had the last week or so!!

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 17:12

Hi all,

Back from the scan. Pip is measuring 7lb4 now........ They're quite concerned so I'm off to hospital for a GD test on Tuesday (why it can't be at the fecking GP I don't know) and I now officially have to give birth in hospital. To say I'm gutted is an understatement.

They can see his fat layer on his tummy, which apparently isn't common. Looking at the screen when they took the tummy measurements it was measuring at 42 weeks ShockAnd the sonographers parting comment to me.... "Eat less cake".

Anyhoo here's a photo of his face that looks like an alien/skull and the business end to prove team blue status Grin

PotatosMum · 15/07/2016 18:11

Bunch aww poor pip, not even born yet and people are taking a pop at his weight Wink

Sorry you have to give birth at hospital but it sounds like he's going to be a bruiser so might be for the best. Fingers crossed the GD test is negative.

Nev welcome back. Glad the grumps have passed and you're feeling a bit more normal Smile

Is anyone still looking in on the TTC thread? Are they still having a dry spell? We don't seem to get many newbies anymore.

OP posts:
AudreyBradshaw · 15/07/2016 19:33

bunch poor you and poor old pip, little love. Flowers

potato I still look in in the ttc thread, handing over thread starter status though because I felt like I dick being preggers and starting a ttc thread! But it's been a bit dry for a while, and I think a few of the old members with bfp's went straight onto the month ante-natal threads.

Just found out my BIL is officially a fucking bellend, and apparently so is my Sil. Bil spent the night in the clink. Fighting, manipulation, violence and lying to the police from what I can gather. Thank fuck we live so far away!

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 19:48

Ahh jeez Audrey families eh?

Ladies h&m have a 10% off voucher code and free delivery until Sunday. Code is 6081 and that includes sale stuff. There's quite a bit in the baby and maternity sales.

IndiX · 15/07/2016 19:59

Oh bunch I hope the GD test comes back negative. You poor thing, not having the best week are you?! Also I want to punch the sonographer for you for the cake commentAngry
Thanks for the code! I'm going to have a look online now.

Starkdrey bloody families, especially in laws are a right pain in the arse! I have a dick head BIL too so I feel your frustration.

Nev I've been in a bad mood this week too but starting to feel more normal less of a bitch now. I blame those bloody hormones for most things, glad you're feeling better.

Sorry you've had a stressful afternoon potato, hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit more this weekend
