Miley sadly there was no point exploding as she'd already booked herself a couple of holidays so someone has to look after the kids. She is doing my head in but to be fair she may have mentioned it in passing to OH without him noticing because he doesn't actually listen to a word she says. Still, she should have confirmed instead of assuming. I think I'm just cross as I'll be between 35 and 37 weeks when the kids are here and we're still expecting an early baby and the last thing I want when I go into labour and am scared is to be worrying about what we're going to do with the kids. They are good kids, but if we have to get them up in the middle of the night because I need to go to hospital they will whine and complain and take their time getting ready and generally be a pain which I don't think I'll be able to cope with... Yup, on second thoughts, you're right, I should have had a go at the selfish cow Hmm

Yay! For booking your 4D scan Grin

Hope your midwife appointment goes well.

God, this heat is insane! I've had to give up on doing anything as I just can't handle the heat!

I love the roll up theme Miley. I went for the Tusk bedding, but actually prefer the roll up stuff if I'm honest! Didn't spot it before I bought. Not too fussed as I've only got the bedding and nothing else, so going mix and match on everything really. Think we'll get wall stickers through Parkins Interiors in the end as they keep popping up on Google through Not On The High Street.

I am literally counting down until I can leave the office. It's 31 degrees here and I could weep. There are 5 of us in a room, computers all kicking out heat and all we can do it open the window and stick the fan on. I'm slightly concerned that daughter is slowly boiling like the proverbial frog...

IrregularCommentary · 19/07/2016 14:05

potato take advantage of being at home and get your feet in some cold water! So jealous of you right now.

Sodasoda · 19/07/2016 14:24

Thanks for the support everyone. Baby much bouncier today and they were happier with the trace so I'm now at home trying (and failing) to stay cool. If anyone has any doubts or doesn't feel like the movement is right then please go and get checked out straight away. The staff couldn't have been nicer and nobody made me feel like I was making a fuss at all.

Bunch - so glad your dad is out of hospital and hope he gets home safely soon.

Potato - that is really annoying about the house situation and about the ex wife. I can't believe she didn't check with you!

Miley - great news on 4D scan! Enjoy it! I was booked in for a growth scab on Thursday this week which i was really looking forward to. But as I had one last night in a bit of a flap we've cancelled the Thursday scan which is a shame - like you I've always been really nervous before scans.

Indi - keep enjoying your holiday!

Another one here who is going green nursery with animal wall stickers. It's quite hard when you're trying to be gender neutral!

PotatosMum · 19/07/2016 15:10

Soda so glad you and baby are doing fine now Grin

I think we're going to have a grey nursery in a grey house with extra grey Hmm and we're getting a tree decal for the wall and I'm going to make bunting out of the cot bumpers seemed like a waste with Potato's real name on it. I can't wait to get started! I'm also going to repaint my old pine wardrobe and maybe get some different knobs for it Smile

I'm trying so hard not to be a grumpy, moany cow today but it's just too hot and that's making me want to hit things people Confused

Hi ladies!

How is everyone? Sweating?

Soda that sounds really scary glad ok.

Bunch - how's things? Glad your dad is doing better.

Tried to catchup with everyone's news. 34+1 now. Back ache, period pain, and getting fucked off with everyone wanting a piece of me when I just want to be left alone - anyone else the same?

X

Mileymoocow · 19/07/2016 18:04

Midwife appt went well. Only good thing about the heat is that I have normal blood pressure for once and the midwife actually managed to get blood out of my arm on the first attempt for the first time ever. I didn't realise I was having bloods taken and had a cornetto and a mini Mars bar before I went Blush

Glad to hear all is well soda! Grin

Mileymoocow · 19/07/2016 18:19

Also baby is still breech and has been at every appointment since 12 weeks! Has anyone else got a baby that hasn't changed position at all?!

PotatosMum · 19/07/2016 18:39

Shelb luckily I don't have lots of people wanting my time but can definitely relate to wanting people to bugger off!

Today I discovered that knees are capable of sweating Hmm

Miley glad midwife appointment went well... I didn't know there was such a thing as a mini mars bar any more, the normal ones are so tiny. Confused

Baby still has plenty of time to turn. Potato turned over just before my 20 week scan I think but they can turn around right up to the start of labour (although the longer they leave it the more uncomfortable it is when they do turn.

I had a mini panic attack this afternoon when I realised that as of this weekend I only have 5 weeks left. I wasn't even sure Potato would stay put this long but all of a sudden I'm really nervous and a bit scared. I hate hospitals Sad

OP posts:
AudreyBradshaw · 19/07/2016 19:10

She sounds like a dick potato (dh's ex is like that unfortunately. So I feel your pain. She rang up a few weeks ago and demanded, and I mean demanded £600, which she wanted by Thursday, it was Tuesday.)

The heat! I can only be thankful that I'm not further along! Keep going plunging my swollen red piggy feet in a cold bath.

Excellent news about blood pressure miley

AudreyBradshaw · 19/07/2016 19:12

bunch Hurrah Hurrah for definitely not being head engaged and your dad being out of the hospital! Good news indeed!

Laurenrl · 19/07/2016 19:21

Yay great news bunch

Sorry to hear potato, maybe it will be nice to be kept busy and make the time go faster, you might not go when they're there :)

Glad appt went well miley

I'm now rides with stretch marks on the bottom of my bump and my lovely delicate bikini line heart tattoo is so undescribable shape...

Thread #9 - TTC#1 grads thread - it's the final countdown
AudreyBradshaw · 19/07/2016 19:25

Names wise, Dh is a sod, to be perfectly honest. We have to be super careful because of the last name as I'm concious that we don't make it a very "ooh, that's unusual" while people do this face Hmm because it especially if its a boy sounds like an American spy/something from WWE wrestling.

So, thus far, he's offered...Sterling, Achilles, Roman, Loki and Rio.

I'll just let you digest those for a moment...

I like Lawrence and William. But we've tentatively agreed on Ezra Bryn for the time being.

Girls names have been more tricky, but I've got to nip off now to re dunk my feet and change this tablet, so will share our girls list in a bit! Grin

Laurenrl · 19/07/2016 19:26

So many mistakes!
*riddled
*some indescribable shape

Mileymoocow · 19/07/2016 19:49

starky I've always been a fan of your unusual names and am so jealous of your cool surname! Our baby will be a very common Collins unless I decide to hold babys surname ransom until OH finally proposes, then it'll be a very awful Eke! Oh the mental mind of a pregnant woman
I must say I absolutely love Roman and Rio, and Lawrence is one of my favourite boy names ever but jesus, Ezra Bryn is the ultimate! Coolest name ever! I'm looking forward to baby names pt. 2

Mileymoocow · 19/07/2016 19:49

Oops, sorry! audrey Blush

Newmrs22 · 19/07/2016 20:01

Super cool name audrey. We still haven't agreed! 4 weeks to go, eek! Need to get a move on.

So so hot. I've done nothing all day. My grand first week of mat leave plans have all been ruined by the heat!

soda great news about baby

potato I don't know how you control yourself around that woman!

BunchOfBobs · 19/07/2016 20:03

Great news Soda.

Potato** completely normal to feel like that. I had a similar freak out at the same time.

Audrey your surname is amazing. I actually quite like your DHs choices but Ezra Bryn is absolutely gorgeous.

Looks like we're between Hamish, Atticus and Gruffydd. Middle name will be Harey after FIL.

So blood results are in and I do not have GD. Woofookinghoo!!! Let me at the cake!!

In other news, I have elephant feet and legs. Also found out today my midwives give out suppositories and haemorrhoid cream for free. Just got all stocked up at my antenatal class. Boom £15 saved.

Pinklily1 · 19/07/2016 20:13

Hi ladies. Lots of chat today to catch up on...

I'm 34 weeks today, and in addition to sweating like a pig, I've had the delights of groin pain, headaches and diarrhea (sorry for TMI). And my fingers are swollen. Not happy.

On the plus side, OH got offered a job today Grin. Its paid less than he was previously earning but its a job, which is the main thing for now.

Soda, so sorry to hear you had a stressful night. Glad things are better now.

Miley - our baby was breech at 20 week scan but is now head down. You've still got plenty of time for baby to turn - fingers crossed!! Exciting about your 4D scan tomorrow!!

Audrey, I love Ezra, its a perfect mix of unusual and not too out there in my view. Not as keen on your DH's suggestions Grin. My OH suggested Thor and Loki. I'm all for The Avenger's but not in baby names!! I'm looking forward to hearing the girls name options too!

I've ventured over to the Baby Name threads a few times for inspiration, but it is vicious over there!

Lauren - stretch marks are a bugger, but I suppose there's nothing we can do about them Hmm

Potato - i had a mini panic about how little time there is left till baby comes too. Its scary when its just over a month left, but i'm sure we'll all be fine.

Indi - hope you are having a wonderful time in Spain.

Bunch - glad that baby isn't as engaged as first though. He needs to stay put for a while longer! Also good news your Dad is out of hospital. Is it another 10 days before he can fly?

Pinklily1 · 19/07/2016 20:15

Woohoo on the lack of GD Bunch! Your feet look painful, is that hear related or had they swollen that much before?

BunchOfBobs · 19/07/2016 20:27

Yep to 10 days Pink. Home a week Friday fingers crossed.

My feet have been mega swollen for a few weeks but today is the worst they've been. I can feel my toes squished together and I have a crease of swollen foot overlapping my toes. They are sore. Currently sat with my feet in a bowl of what was ice cold water and is now lukewarm. Bloody heat.

Ni4444 · 19/07/2016 21:11

I can't believe some of you are packing hospital bags and on the last weeks countdown!! So exciting!!... Although not so much the heat effects and the cankles! I've developed a charming rash under my boobs! Not sure if it's a heat rash, or a reaction to my mama mio stretch cream (I got little pink spots on my tummy last time I used it for about a week, but I thought I'd give it another go!) Irritating!!!

PotatosMum · 19/07/2016 21:21

Audrey sounds like the two ex's would get on like a house on fire which hopefully they would be in!

Ezra is a really good name Smile

Lauren yeh, I know I may well not go into labour while the kids are here, it's just stressful having them for more than a couple of days as they use the living room as their room and OH and I have to stay in the bedroom which gets really stuffy and uncomfortable. They also bicker all the time because they can't get away to their own space and we're going to struggle for things to do because I literally need to pee all the time and can't walk for more than 10 minutes without being in pain. Pregnancy sucks right now.

Shame your tattoo has fallen victim of pregnancy. Do you think it will be ok after?

Miley I may have considered holding baby's last name ransom in a similar crazy lady way... I don't think it would have worked with my OH though.

New you have my heat related sympathy. I tried to do stuff today but utterly failed and have instead spent all day sat next to a fan... Well, up until OH came home and promptly plonked himself closer to the fan and has been sat there farting all evening Envy (fart smell smiley)

Bunch yay for no GD! But boo for the swollen feet, that looks pretty uncomfortable. I'm gutted that my ankles are starting to go the same way, they were the last thin appendage I had Sad

I think I like Atticus best, particularly with the middle name Smile

Pink woohoo! For your OH getting a new job Grin

Good luck trying to sleep tonight everyone. I'm not liking my chances Hmm

Feefeefs · 19/07/2016 21:52

Hey all! Back from holidaysSad had a fab time gonna have a read and catch up tonight/tomorrow. Hope everyone's well.

AudreyBradshaw · 19/07/2016 22:12

Awww thanks you lot Smile so for the girls installment, our combined effort so far are as follows.

Safiyah
Azaelia
Estelle
Felicity
Anoushka
Dannica
Francesca
Saffron
Anaia

I'm trying combinations of all of them at the minute but Estelle is standing out for me, I've not settled on a middle name with it yet.

Oh bunch your poor footsies. Flowers but excellent news on no GD!

They do sound a pair potato you're a better woman than I am, I think I'd definitely have got high pitched about it. Mind, I've specifically kept my due area vague (like a month-6 weeks vague) so she can't create a situation that needs immediate attention/presence from dh.

Miley aww thanks pal! Grin you make me feel cool about our name! How's puppy today? All ours were too hot! I think surname hostage is a good plan! Pregnancy hormones are awesome!
