Yaay Bunch! This is so exciting - hope all is going well, so excited to see Pip pictures x

Laurenrl · 08/08/2016 20:55

We have been in london for 5 years pink and always said we would only leave to have a family. Baby came along and we decided we wanted to be closer to family- hoping it will be worth the stress its caused!!

Pinklily1 · 08/08/2016 21:12

That makes sense Lauren. Its good to be close to family if possible when there is a little one on the way i think. My parents are already offering to babysit Grin.

It feels weird sat here merrily typing, knowing its all stations go for Bunch. Come on Pip!!

leoniethelioness · 08/08/2016 21:17

Lauren Go to see your GP. You sound exactly like me. I have made DH two cups of tea tonight, helped cook dinner, chatted away and felt pretty normal! I should have gone weeks ago. Happiest I've been in ages and baby has been moving more than ever before - DH says it's because I'm finally relaxing.

Pink Sorry to hear that you're suffering too. I've managed to pass over my urgent matters today but will need to keep an eye on my inbox tomorrow until I'm sure IT have set up auto forwarding or access to a colleague.

Canters Sorry to hear the new job is tiring but hope your team is supportive of you.

Watching the gymnasts on BBC Four. That are so strong!

leoniethelioness · 08/08/2016 21:19

*They. Oops.

Bunch Looking forward to your next update. My DSis has the same due date as you but he or she seems very comfy in there despite being 9 lbs plus already. I've told my little boy (in utero, ofc) that he's not allowed to weigh more than our 9 lbs 8 oz cat, haha!

Sodasoda · 08/08/2016 21:27

Go bunch! Wooo!

Pink glad your hospital appt was ok and sorry you're suffering with pain.

Leonie so glad you're feeling better about things.

I've been to the dentist this afternoon for a check and a hygienist appt. it was like a blood bath when they'd finished! ShockMy gums are really bad at the moment.

Loving watching the diving and gymnastics at the olympics, getting really into it!

BunchOfBobs · 08/08/2016 21:31

Hi all,
Keeping you all updated. Just having a bath then going to try and sleep between surges. Should be fun as laying down seems to make them much more intense. But does seem to increase the gap between.
Seem to have lost some regularity but more to do with my constant need for the loo and when I walk I set off the surges.

Anyone suffering from constipation trust me labour will sort you right out.

Really hoping we get some sleep as other than my 1 hour nap earlier we've been up since 4am.

Hope everyone is well.

leoniethelioness · 08/08/2016 21:40

Bunch My NCT lady said there is some evidence that says you need to feel as safe as you do to have sex to give birth so hopefully the low light, relaxing and resting will speed things along for you. Hope you manage some shut eye.

From our NCT class, baby needs all the space it can get on its way out hence me my bladder and D and/or V. Probably a good sign that things are progressing for you!

Sleep well xxxx

leoniethelioness · 08/08/2016 21:42

ME MY BLADDER? That makes total sense... Meant to say emptying bladder. Girls, I'm ordering a new phone tomorrow! It's time...

Pinklily1 · 08/08/2016 21:45

Hope you manage to get some sleep bunch. Maybe a nice bath will help too.

Leonie, I swear sometimes my phone has a mind of its own with the things that come out when I type!

We may have a thread baby before this thread gets full....

Co5mo · 08/08/2016 21:49

Yay Bunch. You could have a baby before we all get up in the morning.

Canters which job have you moved to. I'm spending quite a bit of time helping out our new Dr's.

I'm cheering on the men's gymnastics too. Amazing.

shelbTa · 09/08/2016 03:44

Insomnia :-(

Thinking of you bunch!

X

LisaTheSimpson · 09/08/2016 05:07

We're all cheering you on, Bunch! Sending lots of positive vibes and back massages!

PotatosMum · 09/08/2016 07:09

Gah!!! I just wrote a massive post and then accidentally deleted it Sad

The general gist was, woohoo! Bunch how are things progressing this morning? And sympathies to everyone in pain, lacking sleep or having a wobble.

OH is back at work today he's grumpy about this and I need to really get a move on with unpacking important boxes. I imagine I'll get more done without him here though as when we're together we tend to bimble and chat and have tea breaks Confused

Eek hope alls going well Bunch

I'm 39 weeks today Grin. We've had 3 NCT babies so far this week. All feeling a bit more real now.

Mileymoocow · 09/08/2016 07:13

Morning ladies!

bunch thinking of you! I will admit I checked back at about 4am incase there was any news. Maybe a bit over excited Blush not possible when it comes to thread babies! good luck for today, hope things have progressed well for you and I cannot waaaait to see his adorable little face.

How is everyone else? I managed a decent sleep last night after having an early tea then an hour long walk. Think this may be the way to take the edge off the total discomfort I feel every evening. !!!!!!!TMI breakfast warning!!!!!!! I had a greeny tinged load of cm this morning when I wiped. No odour. It was like my vag had sneezed. Hopefully I don't have a bloody infection Hmm

Mileymoocow · 09/08/2016 07:15

Yay new!!! Not long until you have a real life baby in your arms! Daft as it sounds, it still doesn't feel totally real to me. I know I'm pregnant and I know I'm going to have a baby but I can't seem to be able to imagine actually being a mummy. Hopefully once the kettles boiling and the thread babies keep a-coming it'll start to click in my mind.

leoniethelioness · 09/08/2016 07:17

Miley That could be your mucus plug so do keep an eye on it. Apparently it's often green.

I'm up and about, have taken a co-codamol, and now not sure what to do with myself. I think I will try the coffee shop in the village and then nip to Tesco for some snacks for the afternoon. I'm going to try reading, I think. I never enjoy that when I'm at work as I read all day. Feeling a bit guilty DH is off to work and I have nothing to do. DH says I need to enjoy this time so I am relaxed and in a good place when baby comes.

Bunch Hope you managed to sleep!

leoniethelioness · 09/08/2016 07:18

Congratulations, New! Sorry about the insomnia, Shelb!

Mileymoocow · 09/08/2016 07:36

Leonie I agree with your DH, take some much needed you time! Smile oh dear, I really hope it's not! I'm only 31+3, surely that's too early!!

leoniethelioness · 09/08/2016 07:42

I don't know much about it but my NCT lady said it's often green and like snot. Delightful.

LisaTheSimpson · 09/08/2016 07:56

Miley - maybe just something else worth checking with the midwife/hospital just in case. Hopefully it's just another lovely pregnancy side effect :)

Leonie - definitely take a day or two to do nothing and just rest up. As you say, a nice walk to a coffee shop or the shops nearby. After a few days if you're more relaxed you could take on a small project like organising something in the house/crafts/hobby, etc. If I was at home I'd be binge-watching the Olympics!

Potato - I definitely get more done by myself. It can be really distracting with two people and my DH is never that motivated so moves so slowly when it comes to chores or organising. I find it easier just to do it myself and plough through it.

Feefeefs · 09/08/2016 08:06

Eeek very exciting bunch!!

Glad you're starting to feel better already leonie. I've got my Physio appointment in 2 weeks direct referral here which is good as I don't always find my gps that good. I'm not in as much pain as you though, mostly just when sitting or standing for long periods or getting up or filling over in bed. Wakes me up in the night, so hoping they can get me some stuff to get at as far along as you before I need to consider anything else

PotatosMum · 09/08/2016 08:17

New eee... Congrats on 39 weeks Smile

Miley don't worry about your mucus plug. You can lose bits of it at any point during pregnancy and it just grows back. Losing your plug also doesn't automatically mean labour.
When I went to the NHS class they said to just mention it next time you see your midwife but it's nothing to worry about.

Leonie when I went on leave before maternity started I felt like you. Potter around for a few days, go shopping, buy baby stuff. You'll soon fall into a routine.

New house is very quiet without OH and I feel a bit like I'm in a holiday chalet Confused oh well, time for housework.

Potato It'll start to feel like home soon, I'm sure!
