Worst week Indi but I've got to pick myself up and stop being a mope. Dad is going to be okay, just need to get him home. The hospital is the safest place to have Pip so where is that bad? yes it's not the birth I want but when it comes to him arriving safely that's all I should be worried about.
I've told DH in no uncertain terms he will sleep with me as I'm not having him not have sex until it's hotdogs and hallways time. I've so earned a jump!!
I've had a shitty day feeling down the whole day so tomorrow can only be better. Also tomorrow marks the start of the dyeing stage of the preloved nappies I bought. That can only be a good thing Grin. Midwife on Monday so hopefully will learn a lot more about my birthing situation. And she's coming to the house so thankfully I won't have to drive after blubbing on her for an hour again.

Hope all your house stress etc is gone now potato and Nev you're feeling as normal as a T3 preggo lady can feel again.
*
Audrey* forgot to say when you posted about them ages back, yes to sock ons. My SIL swears by them. I have a load on my Amazon wish list, they're cheap on there.

leoniethelioness · 15/07/2016 20:23

Bunch Hope all is OK. My sister is due the same day as you and her baby measured 6 lbs 5 oz on Monday. She had to have a scan as it was the second time she had been to the hospital worried about reduced movements. Thankfully, all fine. I hope you and the little one are okay too. Have you decided on a name for him now?

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 20:33

Leonie I think we can safely say big one now, other than feeling sorry for myself and guilty for my eating habits we're fine thank you. We think we have but who knows, may find another name tomorrow.
Atticus has dropped off the list as DH doesn't like Atti as a nickname and thinks it will be used. Still my favourite I think though. But I keep flitting back to the old choices.
I'm holding out to see him and what he suits. Shame he's not a girl as our choice was easy- Wren for a small baby, Or Nell for a chunk (nelly the elephant apparently Hmm)

PotatosMum · 15/07/2016 20:59

Audrey you're BIL sounds scarily similar to mine Hmm I totally get the being glad you live so far away. Mine is in another country and he can bloody stay there!

Bunch hope you have a relaxing weekend. You've had a hell of a week to deal with.

Potato has been going mental all day, not sure what's gotten into her, although I have been sitting down most of the day so maybe I'm just paying more attention to the squirming and kicking Confused

BunchOfBobs · 15/07/2016 21:08

Potato I definitely find on more sedate days Pip increases his movements. Though lately he just seems to be constantly moving. Planning on relaxing lots, dyeing nappies and stitching Grin

PotatosMum · 16/07/2016 08:54

Mornings nag ladies, how are we all today?

I'm lamenting the idea of a weekend lie in, I just can't do it any more. Between needing to pee every few minutes, wiggly baby movements and being famished the moment I wake up there's just no chance.

Bunch that sounds like a good plan for the weekend.

I'm 34 weeks today and Potato is now the size of a quokka (that smiley wallaby thing people keep taking selfies with) apparently she should be 5lb she can stay that size thanks! and pretty much cooked Smile
I've got my next growth scan in Thursday so I'm hopping that she's still dead on target to be an average sized baby. Smile

Gah! Autocorrect fail. I don't know where the nag came from Shock

Mileymoocow · 16/07/2016 15:35

bunch sorry you've had a god awful week. How are you today? Treating you self I hope! Don't listen too much about pip weighing 7lb 4 already, I don't know if you saw but last week I mentioned about my boss's DIL having to have a section as her baby was 'too big' (8lb 5 3 weeks early) and she came out a week early 7lb 10oz.

potato lol at nags! You're pretty much spot on for me! Awww 5lb ❤ proper little baby size.

Baby's hospital bag is all packed and I braved the maternity pad aisle in mothercare and also bought disposable knickers so I can start packing mine. 28 weeks today so an official T3-er Grin Its blowing a hooly and sun is shining so waiting on my second lot of baby's washing to finish so it can go on the line, cutting the grass and weeding the flower beds and shrubbery in the mean time. Feeling bizarrely energetic today and making the most of it.

Pinklily1 · 16/07/2016 16:13

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is ok.

I'm a walking zombie. Was at a hen dinner last night, didn't get to bed until after midnight and then we had our last NCT session today, so its taken it out of me. I had grand plans to pack my hospital bag but my enthusiasm is limited. May have to wait until tomorrow.

I took the plunge and bought some perineum massage oil yesterday Blush. I'm yet to try it though as you are meant to wait until you are 34 weeks, so a few days to go.

Bunch, thats frustrating about having to be in hosptial, but like you say, whatever is best for baby is the main thing. I like Atti Grin.

Potato, I stopped looking at the TTC thread a while ago. I felt a bit like an intruder as I got more pregnant.

BunchOfBobs · 16/07/2016 16:45

Hi all.

Had a better day today. Just got DH to put up a couple of extra shelves in the nursery and hooks on the back of the door for the slings so that's made me happier. Red nappies are drying, can't wait to see them done.
Yeah I know it's mostly guesstimation Miley but they were acting so worried they've proper freaked me out. Yay Welcome to T3 Grin

I like Atti too pink , but also love the other names so it's a win win really. Just bought some supplies on eBay to make teething necklaces for the Oma, Ama(grandmothers) and myself. Feeling like I've achieved a lot though all we have really done today is a food shop. My feet are ginormous today and aching so much.

36 weeks and apparently I have a Papaya on board. Literally one week to go and he can come any time...... Confused

Pinklily1 · 16/07/2016 18:26

What are the teething necklaces Bunch?

Saw your pic on instagram - you look wonderful Smile.

BunchOfBobs · 16/07/2016 19:08

Thank you Pink. That's lovely of you to say. We've been taking underwear bump photos since 12 weeks ish and I looked back through them today. God I miss my jawline!!

Teething necklaces/fiddle necklaces are for helping keep your hair/jewelry attached when breast feeding or holding baby. I've bought some big pendants which I'll attach to nylon cord with breakaway clasps so I don't get choked or hurt if baby pulls it. These are the pendants in the photo.

Evening ladies,
Hope you're all doing ok and having a nice weekend so far.

Quick question..when would you class 7 months? Week 28? Because 6 months on the calendar would be 26 weeks but then at 5months I would've said 20 weeks.

AudreyBradshaw · 16/07/2016 21:09

I ate Chinese and a having a cherry coke. I am so full I can't move properly and I'm uncomfortable as balls!

mayago · 16/07/2016 22:02

One of the ladies in a FB pregnancy group I'm in posted a picture of cheesy chips with chip spice and ketchup. I absolutely cannot move past this, and have been unsatisfied with any other food for the past two days!

Miley I tried weeding today, but I still can manage going from standing to kneeling with this stupid low blood pressure. I'd hate to think how I'll cope at 28 weeks, so very well done to you! Congrats on the T3 milestone!

Pink how did you find the NCT sessions?

Bunch that's a great idea with the teething necklace. And bonus points for making for the grandmothers as well! I like Atti as well; we can't agree on any boy names at all. Not sure why girl names are easier for us? I'm looking forward to seeing the nappies after the dye job!

Does anyone have a recommendation for an early bump support pillow, or anything else that will help me sleep? I bought a 12 foot cuddle cushion, but I end up waking after an hour or so with pain in my hips. I haven't even had any strange pregnancy dreams yet as I don't sleep for long enough..

PotatosMum · 17/07/2016 06:12

Morning ladies, how are you doing today?

My sleep seems to be getting worse. Fondant get to sleep until near 1am because Potato was kicking, must have peed every hour and I've been awake since 5:30! Sad so tired but Potato's awake and kicking again. I'm going to assume that this is a preview Hmm

Miley congrats on T3, sounds like the nesting urge has hit. Use it wisely Wink

Pink I felt the same about the TTC thread. I felt like I was rubbing their noses in it and felt guilty for feeling like poo or moaning.

Enjoy the ahh bum massage Confused

Bunch glad you had a better day yesterday. Not long now!

I love your weekly fruit photo Grin

May I went through a period in T2 where absolutely nothing helped with the pain in my hips while I was sleeping. It did pass but then came back as pain in my hips all the time Hmm the cuddle pillow does help if you place it between your legs between knee and ankle but in my experience nothing made it go away.

So, I accidentally downloaded Pokemon Go I am a child and now I'm fascinated by the fact that my flat appears to be overrun with wild Pokemon Confused

I'm awake too, Potato. It's not fair. It's Sunday, I had a busy day yesterday, and I've got friends to stay who are all still asleep (I think). I think it's acceptable to get up and have a shower at seven though...?

Evergreen17 · 17/07/2016 07:32

Audrey you felt a kick!!! SmileGrinSmileGrin

[just catching up]

Remember it was months ago when we were peeing on sticks and all Smile

IndiX · 17/07/2016 07:38

I've been awake since 5.30 too potato. I have to do the drive back to Liverpool today from Scotland (5/6 hoursSad) and I've just been awake for ages thinking have I packed everything I need, do I need to take a hairdryer, should I take 2 pairs of flip flops incase my primark ones break... pointless questions that are keeping my brain awake. Good news is I go to Spain tomorrow with my mumGrin last holiday before the baby's arrival.

Miley looking forward to joining you in T3 in a few days! It's nearly the final countdownStar

May I'm thinking of getting a pregnancy pillow but I don't know which one to go for. If you find a good one let me know. My hips and back are giving me grief too.

Bunch forgot to say the other day but I think Atticus is a lovely name, also great idea about the teething necklace. My hair is really long and baby's are always drawn to it...Hmm might have to have a look in to them myself.

IrregularCommentary · 17/07/2016 08:37

Bloody hell Miley - I've not even worked out which bag would be suitable yet, let alone packed it Confused I think once we're through the summer and we've got all the house stuff sorted (DH has finished work for the hols now) then I'll feel more able to sort the detailed stuff.

Pink - same as the others with the ttc thread. I left quite some time ago as I felt like I was intruding, especially as I was lucky enough to be on it a really short time.

Bunch - glad you're feeling better, though sorry you're not going to get your first choice birth plan. At least you've had enough notice to get your heard around it and replan. Hope your Dad's still doing well.

Potato - yes! Am obsessed. Place we're staying in Stiffkey has a Pokestop next door so activity just in the house is pretty good. It's dreadful where I live so it's a whole new world! Off to Wells for a walk in a bit so hoping for some good ones at the beach Grin

Indi - hope you have a fab holiday.

Pinklily1 · 17/07/2016 09:07

Morning ladies,

Another one who has been awake since an ungodly hour here Hmm. I had a second where I thought "at least when baby comes I'l be able to get comfortable in bed and sleep properly", then I quickly remembered that there will be many broken nights sleep when baby arrives!!

Hoping to pack my hospital bag today, though I'm finding the prospect a bit scary.

This Pokemon thing has entirely passed me by until yesterday when I heard about it. Sounds like its a bit addictive.

I've started venturing over to read some of the posts on the Childbirth board, then wished I hadn't bothered Shock.

How are you feeling today Bunch?

For pregnancy pillows, I've got this one from Mamas and Papas, its good and not too pricey..

www.mamasandpapas.com/product-pregnancy-nursing-pillow-night-star/5021t6200/type-i/

BunchOfBobs · 17/07/2016 09:30

Morning all.
Well at last I slept past 5am. Got up at 7.30 today.
Feeling a bit meh today but I'm putting that down to hormones. I've spoken to dad this morning, he's bored out of his mind bless him.
My feet haven't deflated atall overnight so I resemble an elephant today.
I've started my 4 date a day marathon eating. There's a published study that showed women who ate 4 dates a day in the last 4 weeks had a significantly shorter active (2nd) stage of labour. I'll try anything.

Pokemon not my thing but I know if I so much as look at it I'll get addicted so I'm not going to bother.

Indi I hope your journey today goes well and you have a lovely holiday.

My hospital bag probably needs a rejig so I have a short stay bag and a longer stay bag, rather than a "my bag" and "baby bag" separate.

May I'm way beyond being to help with hip pain. I've had pgp/spd since 8 weeks. Seen physio, now with an osteopath and I have hydrotherapy starting soon Confused Pillows definitely help and make sure you get in and out of the car and bed properly.
