Potato, the buyers definitely sound like they don't know what they're doing. What I find really annoying though is why the solicitor/conveyancer doesn't help help them and make it all work. My MIL is also selling/buying at the moment, and her buyers are also hugely incompetent, and their solicitor is doing nothing and just sitting back. Very frustrating Hmm

PotatosMum · 03/08/2016 07:48

Morning all, how are you doing today?

Soda good luck with your scan. Sounds like you just have a lazy baby... Hopefully he'll remain lazy after he's born Wink

Audrey those sheep skins look very comfy... Sadly OH is not a fan of sheepskins. I used to have several that I used as rugs and took camping to snuggle under but in the end I had to get rid of them Sad

Midwife and packing today! Hopefully we'll exchange later OMG we had better and all our worldly possessions will be collected tomorrow which is a scary thought.
Because it's been such a hassle getting everything sorted I haven't really had time to sit down and appreciate that we're leaving my lovely little flat which was the first place I've ever owned and I've been in for eight years. Probably for the best but I have warned OH that there's a good chance I'll be a sobbing mess on Friday when we hopefully leave.

Lisa good luck with the jab.

Your mother has my sympathies regarding buyers. I have no idea how these people get through life if they can't read a solicitors letter and take appropriate action. I think the problem with solicitors is you have to keep pushing them as they have so many other conveyances to do. It should be the other way round and the solicitor pushes and guides the client but it certainly hasn't been in any of the moves I've done. Sad

Morning all! Feeling a bit rough after a dodgy night last night. Had terrible cramping like period pains and was dizzy and shaking. Haven't slept too well, so work is going to be fun!

pink he will have somewhere, I've been assured he will put his foot down and sort it today. He's usually the most laid back, helpful person ever so for him to get pissed off over this its a big deal bless him. I hadn't realised about the padding either. I was kinda like 'well why do they make, and why do you sell padded nursing bras then?!' I have the same issue re massive knockers. I'm sure they're going to get hideously big once milk comes in and no cotton non-wired bra is going to hold them. At least the padded ones come in pretty patterns and don't look like something my granny would have in her top drawer. I also seem to have constantly erect nipples so I have to put breast pads into the cups for fear of people hanging their coats and umbrellas off of me.

potato hope baby potato behaves and is engaged!!! How exciting! I also hope your shit head buyers pull their finger out and get sorted.

So OH is trying to talk me into going to view a new house. I must admit it is a complete bargain and we were going to move next year after baby was born, but I'm not so sure I'm up for committing to moving so close to baby day! 1 major life change at a time for me, I think.

PotatosMum · 03/08/2016 08:15

Miley I now have an image of people hanging umbrellas off of boobs stuck in my head, thanks for that Grin

I hope you feel better. Lack of sleep can ruin you for the whole day.

Remind me when you're due? I really don't recommend moving close to your due date, it's just so stressful. Not the actual move but the worry that you won't move before baby arrives and the constant worry that baby will turn up on moving day. Also, it's a bitch trying to pack when heavily pregnant Hmm

potato I have just 9 weeks and 3 days left! I'm swayed more towards definitely not in no way, shape or form! Seems like the deal of a lifetime though, 4 bed detached in a lovely cul De sac on a nice family estate for a very reasonable price! Places sensible hat firmly on to head

IndiX · 03/08/2016 09:44

Morning ladies.

I've hit the 30 week milestone today Grin I think I had my first bit of heart burn last night. I've never had it before but It felt warm in my throat/wind pipe area and had a bit of a sicky feeling like I needed to burp/be sick.

Miley sorry you had a bad sleep, hope you're feeling better today. I also would say to stay put and not move atm. If the house is still on the market once baby is here then maybe put things in place then?

Soda good luck with the scan today!

Mileymoocow · 03/08/2016 09:59

indi unfortunately that sounds like heartburn Sad yay for 30 weeks! Felt like a huge milestone for me as now it's only a single figure countdown!

BunchOfBobs · 03/08/2016 10:20

Thanks for all the messages about Dad. He's allowed to drive from Tuesday so should be able to get here if Pip holds off until then at least.

Miley sorry you had a bad night, I feel for you, I've had many lately SadI'm not a sensible one and would be wanting to see the house BUT as they say, if it seems to good to be true it probably is.

Woohoo for 30 weeks. Indi. Glad you've got away with the heartburn until now. I X a highly recommend Peptac over the counter better than gaviscon.

Potato I have everything crossed for you for the house and baby being engaged.

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 11:06

Woo hoo on 30 weeks Indi, definitely a milestone!

Sorry you had a crap nights sleep Miley. Are you feeling any better now? The temptation would kill me but probably better not to view the house now. Also, if it's a real bargain compared with others in the area, it would make me question slightly if there was an issue with it.

Fingers crossed for exchange Potato!

Just waiting for my 36 week midwife appointment. They are running at least 30 minutes behind, as per usual. I dread to think what it's like if you come at the end of the day Hmm

Sodasoda · 03/08/2016 11:15

Growth scan was all good. Baby is within the right limits on growth curve and estimated weight is currently at 4lbs 15oz which is fine - 34 weeks today! So feeling much happier.

Potato - I think you're right, my baby perhaps just isn't as wriggly as some others but that's fine. As long as I get used to its routine so I stop panicking myself when I haven't felt anything it'll be ok!

Congratulations on 30 weeks indi - single figure countdown!

I don't know how anyone is coping with a house move so close to due date. Hope you exchange today potato and I wouldn't even tempt myself miley!

Hope you get seen soon pink it's really frustrating waiting at appointments.

I'm working from home for the rest of today which is lovely. Tv is on and fat feet are up resting!

PotatosMum · 03/08/2016 11:22

Miley you'll probably find the house wouldn't complete for a good 3 months so you'd probably be ok and you can dictate a completion date. No harm in looking Wink

Indi congrats on 30 weeks. Exciting!!!

So, still waiting to hear if we're going to exchange or not. Apparently buyer is on fecking holiday!!! Who goes on holiday the week of completion? So if the documents don't arrive they can't currier a copy.
OHand I have discussed it and if it doesn't happen today we're just going to have to push the date back and hope I don't go into early labour. I don't want to but it's now impossible to get a reputable removal company for Friday if we have to cancel the one that would need to collect tomorrow and we can't risk going ahead without exchange as it'll and up costing us ££££ if it doesn't go through Sad

I know you're all right! It's firmly on the back burner. Anyone had terrible muscle cramping in their stomach?! I'm sitting at work in a fair amount of period-like pain. It keeps easing off and then coming back.

pink I do feel better thanks, had an early night and nothing ever came of the poorly feeling. Midwife appointments are cap for being on time - I tend to have mine after work at 4ish and am lucky if they're only 30 mins late!

Brilliant news about growth scan soda Grin

Danni89 · 03/08/2016 12:06

Fingers crossed you hear some news potato

Congrats on 30 week Mark indi!

Great to hear your dad is doing well and will be able to drive bunch

So my last day is tomorrow and I've already been given my gifts from my department- about 10 sets of baby grows and a £50 next voucher! So overwhelmed and I have a baby boy balloon on my desk lol. Really chuffed!

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 12:14

Glad all was ok at the scan Soda.

Miley, could that be Braxton hicks?

So my midwife appointment was fine. She initially thought baby was breech as she couldn't feel her head, but then realised it was because baby was much lower down than she expected. Apparently I am 2/5 engaged (need to be 5/5 by labour time) which she was surprised at at this stage, she said its more common to be that engaged at 36 weeks with a second baby Hmm Anyway, it's all good thing as it means the likelihood of going overdue is less. Also she thinks the risk of me being classed as high risk because of my platelet issue is slim to none, but has sorted a consultant appointment for me for Monday just so they can confirm.

Starting to all feel very real now Shock

How was your midwife appointment Potato?

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 12:14

Danni~ that's so lovely of your colleagues!

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 12:18

Scrub that, have taken to Google and apparently baby isn't engaged when you are 5/5 and is more and more engaged as you go through 4/5 to 1/5 etc.

Bunch, I know we talked about this before. I'm bamboozling myself now!

Mileymoocow · 03/08/2016 12:31

Oh my god pink! Baby is definitely waiting to come now. 2/5 engaged is so exciting! Do they think you might deliver early?

danni that is really lovely! Smile I leave when a lot of my colleagues are on holiday which is crap but I'm also secretly relieved there won't be banners and balloons everywhere! They're definitely the type to make a massive deal and I hate being fussed over, it really embarrasses me. I could definitely cope with vouchers and a balloon though, very thoughtful of them

BunchOfBobs · 03/08/2016 13:02

Miley I get them a lot. Generally after eating. I've put it down to having a much smaller stomach than appetite.

Great news Soda.

How lovely Danni. Roll on tomorrow Grin

Pink what your midwife has said just makes me realise they all say different things. How bloody confusing. My midwife and hypno coach (also a midwife) has told me with second babies it's common not to be engaged ATALL until labour. And my midwife said with me at 3/5ths that I could go into labour anytime as long as babies head is in the pelvis (even just 1/5th) technically you're "engaged". Ahh why don't they all say the same thing?! It depends what your midwife said Palpable or in. If she can feel 2/5ths of the head then you're 3/5ths in, if she's saying 3/5ths in then she can feel 2/5ths of the head. I now make sure I ask how much is in the pelvis.
Someone I speak to on IG who has the same EDD as me has apparently been 3/5ths in since 28 weeks Shock still no baby.

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 14:06

It's so confusing!! She commented on how far in baby was already, so I took it to mean she could only feel 2/5ths of head. I'm going to ask her to clarify next time!

Newmrs22 · 03/08/2016 16:57

I just saw the midwife. I am apparently 3/5. Im taking this to mean 2/5 of the head are in and 3/5 can be felt? It's definitely lower than last time anyway! Yay

Newmrs22 · 03/08/2016 17:07

Just checked my notes. It says ' 3/5 palp' so I think I'm interpreting correctly

BunchOfBobs · 03/08/2016 17:38

Yep New 2/5ths in woohoo.

Potato any news?

I'm having a tough day, I really hope things are happening because if this is the new norm I'm not a fan. Near constant BH no matter what I'm doing, which definitely are getting much harder to bear. Walking is nigh on impossible. I've also got constant pulling feeling on my round ligament so both sides of my lower bump/groin are really sore. I tried sewing this morning but had to stop
After two pairs of trousers and 2 rompers due to discomfort. I tried embroidery and had to stop half an hour in. I have no focus to do anything and when I try I'm just too uncomfortable. I can't stop going the loo, my back hurts. I feel very teary and hate that I'm home alone. I need to stop moaning and just get on with it but everything is so difficult. Anyone else feeling similar?

Newmrs22 · 03/08/2016 17:53

Yes Bunch I feel constantly uncomfortable. The pressure in my pelvis is ridiculous so walking is a challenge. I'm tired but can't get comfy to nap. My back hurts.

Hopefully your BH are actually doing something and proper labour will start soon!

Pinklily1 · 03/08/2016 17:55

Sorry to hear that Bunch. Are they definitely still BH and not the start of the real thing (although sometimes I wonder how we are meant to know to be honest!). Will you OH be home soon?

That's good news New. How many weeks are you now?
